I don't think it's possible to see a photo of this amiibo and not immediately want it in your collection. Like almost all amiibo, he's a perfect collectible representation of how the character appears in his game. The glossy finish really makes him stand out in your collection. It's also nice that this is the first Zelda amiibo since Wolf Link that's meant to actually store game data... in this case, the chamber dungeons that you can create in Link's Awakening. It's nice to have an amiibo that does more for your game than just unlock some cool little aesthetic bonuses. It's not a necessary feature, of course, but it's not bad to have the option. All around, an adorable amiibo that belongs in any Zelda collector's lineup!

For anyone not knowing Amiibos are not only NFC usage but have collectors value for the set or series. You can use the Amiibos or just use for display. The choices are for you. I like how they are well designed and artistic value. Others would say no worth it but they have dual usage as Amiibos and Display. And for collectors they are far worth having them most other others as some never come back and some are even harder to find. Collectors get them while you can at MSRP or pay Scalping prices to get them. They won't sell for MSRP once they leave the retailers shelves.

The overall quality and design of Nintendo's amiibo line has reached what is most likely their peak and nowhere is this more evident than in this figure. This little guy comes in about half a centimeter shorter than the Ness amiibo. The design is pretty much a perfect facsimile of his in-game appearance. The paint colors are rich, vibrant and form a slight gradient on some parts to great effect. To top it off, the design is coated in a smooth lacquer to drive home that toy-like diorama feel of the game's art design. As for its NFC chip functionality, it unlocks an exclusive labyrinth piece for the custom dungeon arranging mode new to the Link's Awakening remake. However, you might get more value out of of designating "Toy Link" as your 'Smash Ultimate' sparring ... I absolutely love every Zelda Amiibo Nintendo has made. They all have fantastic attention to detail. This one is a little different in the way it has a glossy finish compared to most other Amiibos. This gives it the ultimate toy like appearance as what they were going for in the new Link's Awakening remake. My only dislike about this design is his solid black beady eyes. Other than that his design is great.
I don't have a large collection of these figures but, I have managed to purchase those characters that I enjoy. Zelda is one of them. I have most of the zelda figures and, this one looks as amazing as the rest. I have not used it for in game purposes just for the amazing sculpt of the pieces. Getting figures that look as good as these is hard to do so kudos to Nintendo for always managing to get these right.Only con is due to tariffs these figures are more expensive than they used to be but, that isn't the fault of the stores or Nintendo.
First off, for those who don't know, Amiibo are figures that can be used with various Nintendo games to unlock bonuses. Usually the box will say what it does, but most people buy these because they're affordable figures based on beloved icons. In the case of this one, based on Link's appearance in the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake for the Switch, he unlocks a "Shadow Link" mini-boss that can be added to the game's customizable dungeons. Beyond that, he has the generic bonuses and functions in other games that are compatible with Amiibo. The figure itself is really nice, with a glossy paint job and a style that matches the source material completely. Minor paint imperfections are possible, but for the most part, this is a really nice figure. If you're a collector of Amiibo, Nintendo, Zelda, or just cute things in general, you can't go wrong with adding this to your collection.
This Amiibo is exactly what you'd expect. But Bestbuy's service with this was pretty poor. They told me it was out of stock, when I had preordered it. Thankfully when I got to the store, they had one for me.This actually mattered a lot because my mom bought me Link's Awakening as one of my first games, and she died the month this new one was announced. So this toy was a weird keepsake reminding me of her.And Bestbuy just needs to make sure their preorders work properly.
Just horrible, Best buy let me down! The package came and the product was all bent, bent bad enough parts of the cardboard art was peeling and box was partially opened from travel.I expected Best Buy to take better care of shipping products, especially knowing how people feel not only about amiibo's but Zelda products.I wouldn't hold my breath on having products shipped from Best Buy.I wanted to buy more online figurines but now, I don't think I will.Best Buy, it looks like you may loose some business when it comes to sought after items.
As someone who played the Game Boy Zeldas as a kid, I'm in love with the art style of this figure. The black beady eyes and over-sized equipment look just like he did as a 2D sprite back in the '90s. The sword, shield, etc. of this figure are nice and sturdy, and it all has a plasticky shine to fit the "toybox" feel of the Link's Awakening remake. It's worth noting that amiibo are on their way out, and this figure is unlikely to unlock much exclusive in-game content. It unlocks some extra rooms in the Link's Awakening dungeon builder, and you can use it to train Link in Super Smash Bros. as an amiibo fighter. It might (unconfirmed) unlock some exclusive gear in the upcoming Breath of the Wild Sequel, since all Zelda amiibo unlocked something unique in the first ... But your money is mostly going toward the figure itself, which I'm happy with.
Mine's still inside the plastic box but from what I can see, the paint job is decent. I was able to get one in store and not online. The ones that get shipped out from the warehouse get thrown around and it isn't secured so beware. If you get lucky, the person packing your box may do a good job but most of the time, the box gets thrown inside of the shipping box. If you are looking to collect, purchase in store.
