This game is one of four main games I’ve been playing for a few years. There are two modes: killer and survivor. Each killer has a unique ability, and both killers and survivors can choose “perks” to help them try to win the game. The killer’s goal is to kill the survivors and the survivors’ goals are to survive. To survive, you have to repair generators and open up a door. Easier said than done, because the killer will be looking to hit you twice and put you on a hook. After you’ve been hooked three times, you die. If you managed to open the gates and escape, you ‘win!’ Winning is all subjective. The events they have are fun, and the combination of perks makes the game very fun. It’s buggy, and a lot of times it is not as balanced as it could be. They certainly try to balance it, but that’s not always a guarantee. I wish they would also add cross-progression, like plenty of games have now these days, but I don’t see it happening soon. The community can be kinda mean and BM, but just don’t take it too seriously, as it is a game. I think the pros far outweigh the cons, and I highly recommend the game. If you see a Spirit or a Nancy Wheeler/Cheryl Mason named ‘bonk,’ you found me!

My rating is for the game on PlayStation, Xbox, and my personal preference Steam (PC), personally I find the game too cumbersome and complex for switch or mobile. If you aren’t familiar with the game the most basic description: it’s a 4 player vs 1 player game (there are no computer players), and you choose to be the bad guy (Influenster is making me dumb this down a bit) or one of the survivors trying to escape the bad guy. There are other games like this in the market, but as far as I know DBD was first and in my opinion is best. I was late to the game and started playing about a year ago on console. I loved playing the bad guy and didn’t attempt survivor for months because the idea of it gave me anxiety. Now I happily play both. I loved playing the bad guy and didn’t attempt survivor for months because the idea of it gave me anxiety. Now I happily play both. The main complaint most people have with this game is that it has bugs. These people don’t seem to realize that BHVR (the developers) are consistently coming out with the events and expanding the game. These releases have come to be expected by regular players. There is a player beta test (optional, free to play if you have base game, and on steam only) they all go through to get out any major bugs before final release, but they are released on time and bugs fixed along the way if need be. The fact that this game is going on 6 years old and the developers are still completely committed to it is amazing. They give in game rewards and acknowledge issues. The events they release are really fun. The game is as well balanced as a game can be when it’s PvP, and the developers tweak perks as they need to if something is too weak or too strong. My only true complaint is the penalty for disconnecting doesn’t recognize if the disconnect was done by the player or the server. That being said the penalty needs to exist to prevent people from just disconnecting on purpose when the game isn’t going their way. Which leads me to the complaint most people THINK they have with the game, and that’s the players. When you’re paired with random people you will come across a fair share of bad mannered players. The game developers don’t have much control over humanity. They do what they can to prevent actual cheating, but they can’t stop people from just generally being rude to others. How they cope with their Twitter community is beyond me. That being said, most of that can be avoided if you have the right attitude going in. If survivors are taunting the bad guy, don’t join them. If the bad guy is face camping go do gens and give them as few options for points as possible. If end game chat is people being rude, don’t engage. Just move on to the next game. Read the options for reporting which exists next to each person in end game chat. You can give props or report certain behavior. And if you find you don’t want to deal with other players my number one tip is play a different game. This game is evolving and new features are added frequently, and the other players will always be there. Overall I love the game and highly recommend trying different characters if you decide to give it a go.

505 Games Dead by Daylight XBox One [XB1] The switch is the only console I've played this on, and here are my first impressions: Like others have said, it's a good port, and the graphics are what I would expect for the switch. That would be nice if they got an update though. That being said, I've only played the survival mode so far, and this game is hard! I hardly ever survive. It's best if you work as a team to repair generators (usually 5 total) so you can power up the gate and escape. They take a while to repair, and there are little mini games called "skill checks" that randomly pop up during the process. It seems like our whole team usually gets killed before we get anything accomplished.

One of my all time favorite games! I literally play everyday. I love that the developers of this game are constantly listening to the player base and making changes. Also there are a ton of cosmetics and events throughout the years. The game is constantly evolving and gets better and better. I just wish there was open game chat instead of having to hop on a party but that's no biggie. I play on Xbox and the servers are always up and running. Wait times are pretty fast to get in match as well. Fun survival team based game. If you haven't played give it a try!

This is a fun game. Play station 4 is a really great game console. I bought one for myself and my son. We play games together and he also enjoys playing them on his own. It’s really slim and doesn’t take up too much space. It came with 2 controllers and they are wireless. It comes with cords u just plug into the game console to charge the controllers. It’s a good system to have for the kids as well. The kids love it. They have games for adults and children. Not much sticks to it although it can gather dust while sitting there for a long period of time but again it’s super easy to spray and wipe down to clean off. I’ve had game systems since childhood and have always loved video games and it can be a really fun thing to have to kill time as well. I definitely prefer to have play station over XBox. I love their graphics and again I love that the system is so slim and compact. It doesn’t take up much space at all and it’s very light as well. Maybe just a few lbs.

The game of course, isn’t perfect. Matchmaking is troubled, there are a number of glitches and bugs and of course with any live game, your teammates aren’t always the sharpest knife in the drawer. But, with amazing characters, deep lore and an interesting world - all of the pros negate the cons.

If You're a Horror gamer and Nostalgia! For Orginal Horror movies. Highly recommend Dead By Daylight. You can either play as a Survivor, repair generators, run away from the killer, save other survivors, play with friend's or play as the killer, finding the scared Survivors roaming around the map while working on gens and hooking or Mori the Survivors.😂🤟🏼You'll Definitely gonna love it! Not gonna lie though... There is a down side in D.B.D. The game server might take awhile if! You're playing solo or duo, game sometimes kicks off players or Killer in match; that is if the Survivor or Killer disconnect🤦‍♀️ killer can be camping/ tunnel, even the Survivors can be jerks too! But all in all, it's still a good game. Try it for yourself 😃🤟🏼

DBD caters to killer gameplay, horrible for switch graphics

The problem with the Switch version is there aren’t many Switch players. So if you want to play, you end up having to activate cross-play. Cross-play is like taking a tricycle to a motorcycle race. Because the switch, although excellent, is a highly underpowered console compared to what everyone else is using. You might think you’re hiding in a perfect place, but since your screen is dark and your graphics aren’t the greatest, in all likelihood, you aren’t hiding at all and are visible to the killer. As far as the game itself, my husband and I have played for years, and the developers have continued to make changes that give the killer an advantage. If you enjoy playing as the killer, go for it and have a blast because you won’t have fun as a survivor. This game adds up if you want to buy any in-game content, such as additional survivors or killers. But that’s not enough if you aren’t having fun due to the extreme toxicity of the killers, and at times, survivors, the developers have implemented a punishment to the game to stop you from playing. So, if you quit the game, you will not be able to play for 5 minutes, 15, 30, etc. I have heard of people being banned for a WEEK. You are being banned for a week for a game they paid to play and need an internet service which also costs money. The survivors can be very toxic; for example, the last time I played a round, a survivor who was there to torment people in the game was able to corner me. You can’t run through a survivor or a killer. So, it’s very easy for other players to ruin your time playing because no matter how long you’re cornered, the game makes it, so you stay there. If I could, I would get all my money back that I paid for this game because the developers have catered more to the killers as time has gone on, and as a switch player, you’re already dealing with a disadvantage.

Pay to win, completely unbalanced

This has become one of the worst games I have ever played. Years ago when I started playing this game it was a lot of fun and a good challenge. The balance was fairly good and you could get into a game fairly quickly. All of that has changed at this point. About 2 years ago after some very bad decisions they started hemorrhaging players. The ... MoreThis has become one of the worst games I have ever played. Years ago when I started playing this game it was a lot of fun and a good challenge. The balance was fairly good and you could get into a game fairly quickly. All of that has changed at this point. About 2 years ago after some very bad decisions they started hemorrhaging players. Enough so. that they changed their business model to a cash grab. About 2 years ago they started coming out with characters (mainly killers) that completely broke the game. They continued creating more and more of these cheat characters and now the game is a total mess.More recently in order to sell more survivor characters they started coming out with perks that didn't exactly break the game but were over the top balance wise. The most recent addition has completely broken the game from both sides. At this point they have lost the vast majority of their player base. Here are the basics:Pay to Win Killers: Super speed, Insta kill, No Heartbeat, absolute tracking map wide- That is just 1 killer. Other have teleportation and anything else you can think of.The most recent survivor comes with 2 perks that break the game. Quick healing, self-healing, no track marks, undetectable. it is basically god mode and gets even worse with multiple players using it.Ohh and heres the real kicker, the developers have basically decided that fixing the massive number of glitches and putting an anti-cheat system in place isn't worth their time. In order to play this game you have to have cross play on and unfortunately, a significant number of PC players are using hacks/cheats. This doesn't include balancing the game. They have lost so many players that if cross play is turned off you likely won't ever find a game (keep in mind only 5 people are needed). With cross play turned on, expect a MINIMUM 5-minute wait just to start the game, that is assuming you don't error out or someone else doesn't error out, in which case expect another 5-minute wait. If you're lucky and don't get a cheat killer or hacker you can expect an average game to last 10-15 minutes, otherwise if your unlucky expect it to last maybe 3-5 minutes.Pros:At this point there really isnt any, the concept is good but its completely broken.Cons:UnbalancedPay to WinPointless gameplay.Rampant Hackers/CheatersSignificant errorsSignificant glitches.Graphics are moderately ok (ps4 or ps5 version)Massively overpriced for such a generic gameOne of the most hate-filled communities I have ever seen (largely due to the cons)Developers couldn't care less about the game.Honestly there is more I could go into but i don't see the point.Don't waste your money
