This game is incredibly engaging. The story is fun, the characters are witty and charming, and RPG staples like turn-based combat, classes, and level-ups are all present. The battles are all enjoyable and rarely frustrating, and there is thankfully little to no need to grind for experience points. There's also plenty of treasure everywhere, with gold, equipment and food sometimes inside the chests found throughout the world. The amount of areas is also expansive, with a surprising amount of things to do and people to talk to. Additionally, the amiibo compatibility is used well, rewarding the player with either Game Tickets to play either a prize roulette or rock-paper-scissors or even costumes based on specific characters. Put simply it's a more simplistic Tomodachi Life, with a simple Fantasy RPG engine, and as a fan of Tomodachi Life and your typical RPG, this game is great! I thought I would be sweet, I had so many Miis by the end of my Tomodachi Life playtime, but no, I still need so many more. The story does seems to echo a bit, but I think half the fun comes from making your own. My friend and I teamed up with Hatsune Miku, and a flower to defeat the Dark Lord, and save Miitopia! Another friend joined me, to rescue his son, but when he was taken his daughter came to the rescue. The Wife / Children imported from Tomodachi Life, which I think is the icing on the cake, my hundreds of hours wasted in Tomodachi Life no has purpose!!In my totally biased opinion, probably one of the ... I thought this was something my kids and I could play multiplayer locally together but we can’t. We did enjoy customizing the characters to our Miis. There’s not much action and it’s turn based game. It entertained my family and I on the first time playing but we got bored and havent played it again since.

As somebody who does not typically play turn-based RPGs, Miitopia has been a very enjoyable one. If it were not for the character limit, I'd write an essay on what I love and dislike about this game. So I will do a list: Pros: - Adorable - Decent customization options for all but one character's faces (NPCs included!) - Banger soundtrack (especially the boss battle music) - Variety of classes (although they unlock as you progress) - Creative designs for enemies and many areas of the game - Decent and funny armor designs - Basic understanding of RPG elements without overwhelming the player (abilities, leveling up, relationship building with teammates, effects inflicted on by enemies, etc.) Cons: - Grinding. Do not play have anyone on the team play as the tank class. Thank me later.
My younger daughter loves this. She's too young to play but she loves upgrading the equipment of our family members and choosing who gets to eat the different foods. As an adult, it's pretty boring. Repetitive gameplay. The level of difficulty doesn't really increase as the game progresses. The mii interactions are always fun and that part doesn't get old. Same with playing with mii's based on friends and family - never gets old. This game has the "nintendo magic" for sure which is where it shines. And we've been playing for over a month and she's still very engaged. My daughter would probably give this game 5 stars if she could. For me, 5 stars for being a game which uses mii characters, but -2 stars for repetitive gameplay (for adults)
Fun Game……but not sure how appropriate the hyper sprinkles are. I love this game, it’s fun and funny. But at a certain point you get ‘hyper sprinkles’ which seem like a total drug reference, the characters eyes get huge and they start snorting steam out of their noses and are out of control until it wears off. If that wasn’t in the game it would be much better for kids.
I was one of the few who purchased miitopia the day it launched. And I have to say, it is one of the most fun games on my 3DS! Charming, addictive and fun would be the best way to describe this quirky Mii-centered RPG. I've heard comparisons to tomodachi life, another game I enjoyed previously, and while the charm and mii characters are pretty similar, I found miitopia overall a more fun experience. There are some mechanics I didn't like such as not being able to control anyone other than yourself, but over time I warmed up to practically every mechanic, and I found this game to be an absolute delight. To my surprise, I've easily packed 45+ hours into this game and I haven't completed the entire game yet. At times it may be repetitive but once you come back, you ... Do not let the 50 dollar price scare you away. Miitopia is an absolute delight and I highly encourage you purchase it. However, if you despise tomodachi life, the charm of the mii characters may not appeal to you. But should you buy? Absolutely.
Couldn't put down the demo.. and as much as I DID enjoy my time with it.. I figured the full game would be more or less the same exact thing.. NOPE! *There are still goodies in store* It kinda stinks that you don't get to control the other party members, making it feel repetitive at certain points. And It seems there's still so much more they could've added to it in terms of gameplay. But with all its quirks & charms, I still think I got my money's worth. The gameplay mechanics are simplified, A.I can be a little dopey which can be both hilarious & frustrating at times. Really, the main entertainment value stems from watching how your characters interact with one another during their journey, which can have an effect on gameplay. It's cute, it's funny, it's highly addictive. Luckily, there's post game content! Also, the soundtrack is pretty phenomenal! - - - - *As with all other Mii titles, you'll get far more mileage out of it the more attached you are to your creations. Miitopia's Mii editor is closer to those found in Miitomo & Switch. When you're not in the creating mood, miis can easily be imported from your Tomodachi life & 3Ds' Mii maker saves, or simply search & download Miis from other players via wifi. - - - - When I first read on Miitopia, I wasn't sure what to expect, it's so unique that even now I wouldn't know how to explain it.. However, in the end... I'm happy with my purchase!. For those that love to create, collect, and don't mind random silliness, Miitopia deserves to be on your watch list!
I've heard so much hype over the years about how Super Metroid is the greatest SNES game or even the greatest game ever, so I have been interested in playing it. After beating it I gotta say it is a fantastic game and lived up to the hype and expectations. One of the most amazing aspects of the game to me is the exploration and the way the makers funnel you in the right direction without you even knowing it. I never once felt like the game was pushing me cause the area seems so large. I also appreciate that they gave the player some credit and don't just put a marker on the screen showing the objective. That one aspect which isn't rare for SNES games was utilized in the most perfect way in Super Metroid. I've heard people for years rave about how great Super Metroid ... If you are into modern generation games like COD and Halo and like fast paced, put the objective on the screen so I can go shoot up some people, and aren't really a patient problem solver this game might be frustrating, boring, and not very fun to you. I love it and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the SNES.
This game WAS on 3DS but if you didn'tplay that version you will have a blast on this switch port, and even if you did (like me) You will still have just as much as a great time with lots of improvements and new features! It's also not a full priced switch game.
