The Star Wars saga continues in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, which casts players as Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny. As its name implies, The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force by taking full advantage of newly developed technologies that will be seen and experienced for the first time: Digital Molecular Matter (DMM). DMM incorporates the physical properties of anything in the environment so that everything reacts exactly like it should - wood breaks like wood, glass shatters like glass, and more. Meanwhile, as a revolutionary behavioral-simulation engine, Euphoria enables interactive characters to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behavior on the fly and resulting in a different payoff every single time.

I’m sure there’s a good game here, but I can’t recommend it on this platform as the PC optimisation is dreadful. There are only a few in-game options, the saving and checkpoints are weak, the menus are flat and have weird button choices and in the game proper, there are bugs and glitches galore, like falling through the floor and suddenly appearing enemies. The music may be the classic Star Wars themes, but they are of poor quality and are lazily added in (if they even play at all). The lightsabre combat is awful, with you constantly getting stun locked between the enemy and the scenery and the block function, like most of the controls, is frequently unresponsive. Trying to select targets or even aim your force powers in the right direction is far harder than it ... MoreI’m sure there’s a good game here, but I can’t recommend it on this platform as the PC optimisation is dreadful. Trying to select targets or even aim your force powers in the right direction is far harder than it should be.But it does give you the Star Wars power fantasy with over the top force powers, crazy ragdoll physics and frantic battles against recognisable Star Wars foes in iconic Star Wars settings. It’s pretty basic, with repetitive mobs of similar enemies and simple platforming segments over large empty monochrome levels which are graphically quite dull to look at and not that exciting to play. The enemy AI is dumb which means it’s never too hard to progress, but the bosses are harder than they should be simply due to the cheap tactics they use rather than any real challenge. There’s some skill progression and character customisation and although the story’s quite predictable, it does its job. The custcenes are well animated with likeable characters and even have a few bits of humour. There’s a good amount of content which is sometimes fun to play and I can see how it could have been something special but currently, it’s a mess. The bonus missions are a lot better made and were quite fun, if a bit short, so I do recommend them.

As much as I love the Star Wars franchise across all forms of media it pained me to only give this title 3 out of 5 stars. The PS2 version of this game was good (yes, I played it thru to completion), but it did not strike me as much as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions did. The story is a little different, some of the combat mechanics were changed completely and one of the most powerful moments in the game (which I will not spoil) was changed to a mere cut scene in this version. Aside from these issues, I did have a good time playing this one. The iconic Star Wars soundtrack was featured throughout, many popular Star Wars characters were featured during the story and this game included a decent amount of unlockables for a PS2 game. I would definitely suggest this game ... MoreAs much as I love the Star Wars franchise across all forms of media it pained me to only give this title 3 out of 5 stars. All in all, I'm thankful to DKOldies as I am able to proudly display this in my both my Star Wars and PS2 collections.

I’ll start out by saying the intro is super long (like the movie) and you can’t skip it which is super annoying. I just want to jump to game play. The graphics are typical Nintendo graphics, but that is to be expected. Even though the game is refurbished it appears to work like new and I didn’t notice a difference. The game itself is fun to play and its helpful that it gives pointers during game play. This game uses the nunchucks which is cool. It’s pretty easy to play, I’m not the best at it but still do ok with it. If you’re a Star Wars fan, I’d say you’d probably really enjoy this! It actually is a pretty cool game. I’m used to PS4 games but I’m sure this game was awesome in its time.

This really is an Excellent game. It is very addictive. In fact, a few minutes after I started playing this game I knew instinctively that it was Excellent. I should know, I have been playing videogames for well over twenty years. Even if you are not a star wars fan (as I am not) the game is Excellent. Very highly recommended.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Nintendo Wii refurbished was in almost new condition. No scratches or anything. It wasn't shrink wrapped but even the case was pristine. As a game it's a blast. Star Wars fun as soon as you pop it in. The graphics of course are a little older but fantastic considering everything. It runs smoothly and has no bugs. Great story and fun action!
I picked up this game after not playing it for over 10 years and it plays like new. The load times are low, no scratches, no errors, and smooth gameplay. The only issue i have with this UMD is that i believe there are a few voice lines missing in game but that's not a seller caused problem
Right when you open the refurbished game it has a note/flyer that gives you an 800 number and a website just in case you’re refurbished game is not working properly. In this case, Star Wars the force unleashed, works perfectly. Just like most Wii games, it comes with a tutorial and explains exactly what you’re supposed to do and how you can do it. It is a lot of fun and being a mother of two I like the Wii games because it makes my kids stand and move around while playing.
I love love love that I was able to get this game with a case and a manual booklet. This was part of first ever purchase from DK Oldies and I have yet to start the game since I’ve been playing the other ones. The items shipped fast, arrived in very careful packaging, and have (so far) played beautifully. Thank you!
Never got the chance to play this game, so when I came across it on the website, I immediately added it to kart to purchase. When it came, I was surprised by the condition of how well they packaged the game and how the disc had no noticeable scratches on it. This game was awesome great storyline. I am going to pick up the sequel!
Been going through the Star Wars movies with my Boy and playing with lightsabers so I had to grab a copy of this game! My son is only just beginning to be interested in games and he took this one real serious and completed ALL the training tutorials first. I was surprised at the depth of the game and later discovered they even made a lightsaber accessory for the controller and snatched up a Darth Vader Red. ZZZSHOM!!!
