Nintendo Super Mario All-Stars Selects - Wii

I still have my Super Nintendo and all of my Super Nintendo games in their original boxes. While I do have Super Mario All*Stars, the edition I have is the original from 1993 without Super Mario World included. I recently purchased a used Super Mario All*Stars + Super Mario World cartridge from 1994, but it didn't include the box. Now, thankfully, I have a perfect replacement box for my game. Thank you so much.

A tricky game to get in good condition

Currently CEX only sell two versions of the game, one with the DVD/CD and one with just the game. The DVD/CD version comes boxed but from my experience the condition of the boxes were all really poor, with holes in box or big rips/sticker marks. I think this is a hard game to get in good condition. The stores were all great and refunded the game for me. I think this is just a hard game to find in a good condition. I think it could help if CEX did a boxed/mint version so you could get a better quality version if you were looking for it.

All Stars on Wii

Just like the original version, but now you can play with a variety of controllers. You can use the wii mote turned sideways, wii classic controllers, nes classic mini controllers, if you're playing on a gamecube compatible wii you can play with a gamecube controller, but the D-pad on the gamecube controller just doesn't feel good for Mario's side scrolling action. Comes with instructions to view a digital manual, health and safety warnings and that's it, no manual. It has 4 full games: Super Mario bros 1, 2, 3 and Lost levels. Great remastered compilation of the original Mario trilogy

Super Mario All Stars is a mix of classic Mario games, remastered for the SNES. The graphics and sound are nicely updated to reflect the capabilities of the 16 bit SNES. As the game was originally released in the mid 90s, the updates are consistent with the aesthetics of the time, looking much more like Super Mario World and foregoing much of the original looks and sounds. This is mostly noticeable in Super Mario Bros. where some of the characteristics that are the most unique to that game (such as textures of the over world blocks, arrangement of the music, sprite design) are completely changed in favor of an updated aesthetic, whereas Mario games released in more recent years have included more nostalgic elements. I decided to buy this because I love Super Mario All-Stars and I was interested to find out that it had been released for the Wii. I bought the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition boxset because it wasn't a whole lot more money and I would get a few extras with it (CD and history booklet) as opposed to just buying the standalone game. The game itself goes for quite a bit of money online. The game works well with the Wii-mote and can also be used with a Wii Classic controller as well as a GameCube controller and maybe the SNES Classic controller. Overall, if you liked this game on the SNES, then you'll like it on the Wii. Super Mario All Stars

Great game, good quality. Better than my local retro game store. I appreciate DKoldies for all its hard work. Originality is important to me and I'm just glad you guys deliver everytime to the best of your capabilities. Thank you.

This may disappoint those who want the true retro experience on their CRT television. Thankfully, the game is playable in 480p for those using a YPbPr component cable to connect their Wii to their HD television, and the upscaling to 480p looks absolutely crisp. As for the game itself, this is ultimately what you would expect from Super Mario All-Stars, originally released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. This is one of the best games you can buy for the SNES because it includes most of the Mario games up until its release. Basically you can jump from the NES Super Mario III to Super Mario World without having to turn the system off. It seems like unlimited hours of entertainment in a single cartridge.

ZERO STARS!!

See the other reviews. Walmart should know better and cancel their contract. They advertise one game at a decent to lose price and then ship you something entirely different and send you a packing slip to try and trick you into showing that’s what you bought all along. Garbage company and garbage people. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!
