Nintendo - Super Mario Party Jamboree - Switch

I am enjoying it so far but there seems to be a favour for motion controllers for mini games which isn't for me. All the bonus additions such as bowser take down and rally race are spoiled as you can't play them with people within your own household, only online and on your own. Which defeats the purpose of Mario Party, well for me anyway, as it is a party game for me to play with my friends. At best for my game play, its a few new boards and mini games (some are just reskins) in addition to my Mario Party Super Stars. Doesn't need the motion controller gimick and I would like to play the newer game play options with my friends and household at home. Fun but Hard with Broken Abilities

The content is good enough initially, but really you only have the option of playing the party boards or the bowser team mini game. There's some other mini game focused modes like the koopa race (20 players) and free play online. So yes online focused game for sure, which is where it gets hard. You need to do somewhat good to rank up and progress which means playing party mode. Unfortunately these maps say they are 120-100 minutes at least, which is true. On top of that some bonus mini games take 2 minutes, but aren't too bad. What is bad is that to progress and unlock stuff you need to rank up consistently. This is somewhat hard online and also due to the game mechanics itself. The jamboree buddies wrecked me last game and I lost all my stars to one person, and he bought 2 stars (1 bonus included from buddy) and completely destroyed us in literally the 2nd to last round. I wouldn't have cared if it was all good fun, but in the results menu I got 0 points towards rank progression, whereas everyone else got 1000 (4700 needed to C rank on pros mode). Pro mode or not you need those points to progress a battle pass type reward system, which has ranks throughout as well. So getting nothing after 2 hrs of getting gut punched is kind of a rip off honestly. That is such a harsh penalty especially how tricky the maps are. Depending on the players they can be merciless, but most of the items and best spaces involve stabbing someone in the back. So idk, it's kind of chaotic and you could lose a lot of time towards tiered unlockables, even if you're playing at your best. Anyways that's it pretty much.

Mario Party for the whole family

Got Mario Party for my family to enjoy while I was still working over the road. Things changed and I was able to enjoy the game too. Even my 4 yr and 5 yr old at the time enjoyed the game once everything was explained to them. The controls were easy to navigate as an adult; and once the kiddos understood which controls to use, they no longer needed help, except for reading. This game had so many family oriented games and other challenging activities too. You can someone play up to 4 players; and don’t worry if there’s only 1 or 2. The game will choose the remaining CPU characters.

Very enjoyable! Hours of fun for the whole family

We really love the interchangeable amount of time you can chose to play the main event game. Game is up to four players. It has an option to practice the side games and gather coins through side games if the kids just enjoy playing those. Fun for the whole family or just the adults if free time is ever available. Only negative would be that there is only five boards available indefinitely. Some of them get a little repetitive %26 we tend to just play our favorites. We would love to be able to unlock other boards for different gameplay just as you unlock stickers, music, etc. overall we really enjoy this game and will continue to play. I have already recommended to others

[Rewarded Review] Be patient, have fun -Koopa

I pre-ordered and the game was ready for in-store pickup on release day. The bag is being shipped and is due to arrive 8 days after release. Many of the mini-games are longer, I love the option to play as a pro. The graphics sure have come a long way and they made sure to keep the "Ha, you got Mario Partied!" element for those of us who are addicted to Mario Party. I haven't unlocked everything yet but my grown kids and I are having a great time discovering. Some of the boards allow many options for how to get to the star. Of course, there are a lot of new items, new shops and the ally steal is wild. We hoped to have team play options but haven't seen that yet, except in mini-games.

I was a bit cautious getting another installment of Mario Party. The last one felt by the numbers to much without that sense of charm the series tends to have with its best installments. I know the game is fun when my family wants to play another board after playing a 10 turn, 90 minute game. The graphics are charming and the boards are fantastic, new and returning ones alike. The gameplay goes faster it feels and the addition of the Jamboree partner brings some nice strategy and chaos in just the right amount. The music is your normal Mario series fair with a small hint of just the right newness that really feels right. Loads of fun. I personally have always enjoyed split screen games from the n64. Having freinds over and playing games together. Pizza chips and frosty beverages. Mario party is where it’s at. Hours and multiple nights of fun, laughing, joking, teasing each other as you play and battle through the maps. There are sooo ma y differently created mi o games you don’t hsrdly play the same one through and entire 4 person 15-20 round game. I can’t say enough about this Mario party. They hit it on the mark. The games tend to take a touch longer to get through from the original Mario party, although the events, games are balanced as well as interesting to play. [Rewarded Review] Mario Party Superstars

The mini game choices are great. I like all of the ones that are available to play. The boards are fun and different! Being able to customize your own party card is also a nice touch. You can switch the music for the boards with the original music or remix that was made for the game in the options once you’ve already played the board once. Really nice feature for those people that like the classic music from many years ago! Online play is a plus. Stickers are a fun way to communicate with people online and just in general are fun all together! Even my 5 and 7 year old have fun with with me and others. 9/10 rating for me. Would be 10/10 if the game had a couple more characters. That’s it!

Mario Party Jamboree has brought so much fun to our family nights! We all love the mix of classic Mario characters and new surprises there’s always something that gets us laughing or cheering each other on. The mini-games are super entertaining and just the right mix of skill and luck, so no one feels left out, no matter their gaming level. Even the board layouts keep us guessing and strategizing, and it’s impossible to predict who’s going to win until the very end. It’s so fun and engaging that we lose track of time every time we play. Highly recommend it if you want a game that keeps everyone excited and engaged!But we have not played online yet soon we try that out.

It also has a mode that lets you play every minigame. It has about 12 characters to choose from and 5 fun maps. it has a shop you can buy things from to customize your menu and it has a mode, unique to every character, where you can play and get rewards and such. (like a single player mode) Like the previous title, you can also play online with players around the world.
