I currently have all of the amiibo and they are great! They have great functionality with Super Smash Bros, and other games, and they are excellent quality. Really well constructed and great paint job. They look great sitting out even when they're not being used.

They feel solid, probably won't break with an accidental drop. Really nice to look at. You could display these and never use them in a game and it would be a nice looking collection.In game use:First thing you need to understand is that you don't need to buy any amiibos for any games. There are several Games like Smas Bros Wii U, Hyrule Warrios, Mario Kart 8, etc.

This is a great figurine of Donkey Kong. The quality is really good and the construction is solid. I do wish it did a bit more with game-interactivity, but the trainable fighter in Smash Bros. and the unlockable racing suit in Mario Kart 8 are nice.
This figure is well made for the price, and is a good opponent if you like to play but don't get to play against other people that often. Combine with other amiibo for great fun! (Be careful if you're into collecting figures in box- Best Buy shipping can damage the box, the figure itself is great though)
We purchased the available Amiibo's at Best Buy for my son for Christmas. He loves having them all lined up when he plays his Wii. We all use them for Super Smash Brothers which is our favorite game to play as a family. The more you use them, the stronger the get! We really hope these catch on and they don't stop making them. Once we start collecting something, we don't stop until we have them all! It would be a shame if they get discontinued!
Donkey Kong's amiibo is one of the sturdier built amiibos, you can feel some heft in it. The fur's design also gives it a more complex look. I can't help comparing with Sully from Disney Infinity and thinking this is how Sully's fur should have been designed.

Amiibo's are a excellent new toy line up from Nintendo which allows you to unlock features in many Nintendo games. Similar to Disney's Infinity or Skylanders, Amiibo's are a great for all ages whether it's for collecting or just playing. Amiibo's are compatible with all kinds of Nintendo games each with unique features to unlock, such as being able to train your own Amiibo character to raise in Super Smash Bros., or special Mii costumes for Mario Kart 8, as well as getting special items for Hyrule Warriors. Many upcoming Nintendo games will be compatible with Amiibos so the fun will never end.
I had been looking for this amiibo everywhere and could not find one. Target said that my store had one, which was odd, considering that I had been there that day, and they did not have one. I went in to pick up my item, and I am a new in box collector, the box has creases and is not in perfect condition. However, to just find one of this item did seem worth it.
