I have never owned a Nintendo Switch before, but have played games on and off for some years on PC, Xbox, Apple TV 4K, and on mobile phones. I sold my OG Switch to get the Animal Crossing Edition, and a little over a year later I pick this one up and sell the Animal Crossing Edition. This is one beautifully designed console. The graffiti on the back of the machine is super fun to look at, whereas the back of the Animal Crossing one was just a bunch of glossy black shapes.The dock on this Scarlet/Violet console is super nice, with the new legendaries and a glossy finish, and it just looks great on the entertainment center. Although, it is not a fully ergonomically designed device, specifically the joy cons on both sides feel like there going to bend and crack the screen or just get loosened up with time/use and start to loose their overall, quality, feel. The small gaps or slots; where the cartridge goes in is poorly designed and also the gap on the rear to pull the built in stand is rather tiny, for my big fingers at least... . Otherwise, a great console that runs games at a high resolution, starts them amazingly fast and for a device as compact and light as this one it is incredibly powerful!
