Travel a lot, this is perfect. There are some drawbacks if you are a serious gamer I'm my opinion. Whether docked on a tv or in handheld mode effects how the games perform. Also the screen is very small, only a little larger than a normal smart phone. Some games are hard to play in heldheld mode, text is small details are hard to see. Personally I like tv mode. Also the switch is very underpowered. It cannot hold up to ps4 or xbox one let alone the current Gen. Games on the switch take a heavy heavy hit in the graphics and performance department. They have lower resolution 1080p tv mode, 720p in handheld. The frame rates are lower and the graphical details are reduced when compared to say ps4 or ps5. So it falls somewhere in the better than ps3 or xbox 360 but not as good as ps4/5 or xbox one/series. But one thing that is clear is the switch is a great destination for indie games. Indie games are less graphically demanding and plentiful. That and the always charming Nintendo exclusives makes this a good console for casual gamers, young children and gamers on the go. There is also fragility. This is a fragile price of equipment. I doubt it will survive too many falls so supervision on young kids is needed. I would live to show a picture of the joycon controller but mi e broke with minimal use (I use a controller usually). Last the kick stand on the back is very flimsy. I would recommend you get a third party stand. They are way better. It's a nice compliment to a traditional home console like a ps5 or xbox, but current game games should probably be avoided if you want modern graphics looking their best.

I've had many handheld gaming devices and in my opinion this is the best one out there so far. It's convenient, holds a good charge while also having a massive screen, the fact you can slide off the joycons and use them as a controller while viewing the game on your TV screen, or the multi-player option... the fact that so much is possible with just one tiny device is pretty impressive. I've purchased two games so far, Zelda Breath of the Wild and Mario Cart. Both are fantastic on this thing. The controls are decent and the graphics are fantastic. I LOVE that I can hook this up to my 75 inch TV and still have AMAZING graphics on a large screen. When I want to take it with me, it fits in my purse or backpack. Absolutely love. Worth every penny. Screen scratched and parents lock!

OK so I got the oled switch pretty quick, but when I opened it, I could immediately see multiple scratches on the glass oled screen. Some were not terrible but a couple had gouged right in to the glass leaving a white scratch. In my opinion, this should have been sold as discounted, not unboxed because of this alone! The rear of the unit was also quite scuffed and scratched and the joy cons were in equally bad condition in my opinion. All this could perhaps be acceptable as discounted, but as unboxed, I was not happy. All of the above is quite irrelevant though, as my 1 star rating is due to the fact that there was still somebodies games and account, WITH PARENTAL LOCK, active on the system, so I couldn't even restore to factory settings without that code! Definitely recommend.One of my/our small complaint is that this bundle for the OLED only has the white Joy Cons/Dock (mine is white and we originally had planned to get him the Red/Blue Joy Cons to distinguish our docks easier, even though they're fully compatible lol). Other than that, it's perfect! Battery lives are amazing on both of our Switches and I'd happily buy this bundle again for a loved one/myself, if I ever needed to.A bit of a larger complaint is that we immediately had to buy an SD card (we went with a 512gb option) to go along with it because within 3 digital downloads, the storage capacity was essentially out (though, granted, two of the games he chose to download are chunkier games in terms of storage requirements). But truthfully, as PC gamers, we knew we'd have to get him an upgraded SD card, so we really aren't that upset about it. With the game selection, portability, charge capacity, performance, and comfort, we would buy again if we ever needed to, and we'd buy the SD cards again.

Not sure how this is getting such high ratings I had watched for about 2 months for a sale and got it on a Black Friday deal yesterday and this thing is a total piece of crap. The graphics are so bad it's not even something that seems like it should have been made in the last 15 years.. I had no idea this is really not to be played on a big screen 4K TV until I got home with it. The lines are so blurry the three games I have are basically the games I have on the Wii from 15 years ago with the ability to hook up through to HDMI is about the only difference. The free Mario kart you get with the bundle isn't even the full game and the free subscription you get you can only do very little with without upgrading to the $60 your subscription. How is it stayed on the market and sold anything I have no idea and by the way if you want to look good on a 4K TV you're supposed to buy an HDMI 4K upscaler for around $100 just to make it look like something made in the 2015 time frame. I am stuck with accessories I bought since I bought them piece by piece but hopefully the new switch to the supposedly coming out in March will be better than this but who knows and it only comes with one controller for a family game player?
