I bought this for my son for Christmas. He loves it, works great. However, the memory on it isn't the best. When and if you purchase it, you will want to consider putchasing a microsd card also. We only had the Mario game downloaded, and we tried to download Fortnite, and it would not work due to memory. It wasn't only Fortnite that wouldn't download. They cartridge games we have had no issues with as far as memory. Otherwise, it is a good purchase. Just be advised that you will probably need a microsd card.

Got this system as a Christmas present for the kids. The versatility of the system and controller size is perfect for kids. You may want to look into a larger controller for adult hands. An online subscription is recommended but is much less than the competition's yearly price.A micro SD card (at least 256 GB) is also recommended if you plan on buying games online.

Dead screen/ hard reset doesn't work.

I bought this for Christmas for kiddos. I plugged it up on dock to charge, and nothing. The dock light blinks green light fast. 3 different original chargers do not work. Tried the 20 sec power hold and tap power once suggestion. Nintendo logo shows up and goes black again. No damage, no falls, no excessive wear. This happened with 2 switch lites as well. I am very disappointed because these aren’t the cheapest things to replace for your average person. If I didn’t spend so much on accessories and games, I would just stop buying them all together. Do better Nintendo.

Good value/graphics for not so serious gamers
14 January 2023

4 stars only because:1) "Joy-Con" instructions are vague and always seem to have trouble pairing. Also, the attachment slide for handheld use is not designed very well (difficult to attach/remove).2) Docking station not a "solid" feel when properly docked with the switch. Don't know if charging properly if not seated securely.Otherwise, good value for quality of graphics and variety of games to play, just wish there were MORE interactive games like "Switch Sports" for team play :)

Lot's of Charging Issues
19 February 2023

Very unhappy with Nintendo Switch overall. It has lots of charging issues. I've fixed it twice and still the same issues with the console not charging. I purchased the waranty through Target, and they wont honor it. Target was not very helpful at all. They obvesly only want to make money selling the extended warenty but not actually want to enforce it. Overall, I was left disappointed with Nentedo and Target (Vauxhall, NJ).

Mar10 Day!
12 March 2023

This is awesome! Love that it comes with two red Joy-Cons (it’s my kid’s favorite color, so major bonus points here). I also love that it comes with a game code for one of three game downloads. If you love Mario Kart, it’s there, but if you’re more of a Super Mario 64 type person, Odyssey is there (that’s what I chose). Or maybe you like the scroll-across style games. Then you’ve got Super Mario Bros U. Really nice to be able to choose from a small list. The package comes with everything you need to get started on your Nintendo Switch adventure. Happy Mar10 day!

Critics may say that the major problem about the nintendo switch joy drifts is that whenever it comes to fighting games like Super Smash Bros sometimes the character either moves by itself or moves the Camera, However, Some people calibrate the controllers, and sometimes it works.

Pretty gimmicky but the games are good
11 February 2023

So far, so good. It seems a lot better than the Wii U. I’m not good at describing electronics but the way I would describe it is that the home menu and all that seem to run smoother. However, I think the whole “switch” part of it is so gimmicky. The components don’t seem to slide on and off easily and it seems like those little parts could wear out over time.At the end of the day it’s just a computer that runs games. I’d honestly just rather the controllers be stuck to the console and the thing come with an extra controller for when it’s docked

USE MANUFACTURER WATRANTY!!!
30 January 2020

The switch is still not up to par with its main competitors (PlayStation and Xbox) when it comes to certain areas like online play and I’m on my 3rd generation of nba2k for Nintendo switch and still not getting the “full experience” as many features do not work like they are supposed to but it has gotten much better. I expected problems like this as this as it’s a new system that has yet to be perfected. Nintendo recently released the new model switch with longer battery life along side the switch light (portable only version) so hopefully they fixed some other issues as well. The joycon controllers break very easily and are very expensive to replace. My advice to anyone buying this system is to USE THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY!!! It lasts 1 year from time of purchase when you buy the system and anything that’s not your fault Nintendo will fix for free. I have heard many reports that Nintendo will fix your joycon controllers for free as well if you contact them and complain. In many cases even after the 3 month manufacturers warranty expires on the games and controllers bought separately from the console. However I have heard people complain that the joycons were not covered by the extended warranty that they paid extra for so I would recommend going to the manufacturer first if you have any issues even if you purchased an extended warranty from Target or any other store.

Worth the buy
17 March 2023

I’ve been thinking about buying a Switch for a while, and this bundle made the decision easier. When you factor in the included $40-$60 game, even used Switches aren’t much cheaper. I was wondering if I would regret not going with the OLED, but so far that’s not the case. The screen is bright and vibrant, and works great in handheld. I will say that the stand seems somewhat precarious, but I don’t plan on using it often. I also like the color of the Joy-cons more than those of the standard switch. It’s slightly more muted than my picture would indicate, but pleasant to look at. Overall, happy with my purchase.
