Nioxin Perfume Gift Set for Unisex

I have been using Nioxin for a number of years on and off, first put on to it by a hairdresser following cancer treatment, which resulted in significant hair loss.My hair always feels cleaner and fresher, with noticeable requirements for a haircut every couple of months now. I used only get a trim once a year.Nioxin is a great product, which I highly recommend. I too got the red rash, but speaking to my hairdresser, she advised me that a decrease in blood flow to the scalp is linked to causing hair thinning, therefore; the NIOXIN Scalp Hair Treatment has a vasodilator in it to increase blood flow to the scalp. This redness is temporary and completely normal.

I use this Nioxin line when my scalp is dry or when I’ve used a lot of product in my hair ex: a wedding and my scalp needs some tender, love, and care. In the fall/winter months my scalp becomes very dry if I use any heat tools. I use this bi-weekly and it helps prevent embarrassing flakes from creeping up. (I have jet black hair so it shows x5 for me). It has a very nice mint smell and I find it very effective in calming my scalp issues. You leave the product on your scalp for no more than 1min and then follow with regular hair care regimen. The bottle is large so good bang for your buck Plus you don’t need very much product [dime sized amount in the palm of your hand] and not much more as these guys are potent!

Definitely recommend if you have straight thinning hair

I've only used the whole system 3x, but I'm impressed. I double cleanse with the shampoo, which cleans very well. If you have a dry scalp this product might not be for you. I have to use a good amount of conditioner (same amount of shampoo) because it is so light. If you have curly hair that needs a lot of moisture then the conditioner might not suit you. Lastly, I apply step 3 on damp hair. I use like 3-4 pumps which im not sure how long will last me because the bottle is small. OVERALL I recommend this if youre losing hair/noticed your hair is thinning. I've noticed that the amount if hair I shed has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY. I cant say if it helps regrow lost hair or if it increases how quickly you grow hair in general. Fantastic hair restore kit

I absolutely love this product! It smells wonderful and the mint gives my scalp a delightful tingle. After having cancer and then covid 19 twice, I had lost so much hair I barely had enough to brush into a pony tail. This shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment kit has been a miracle for me. After a month of use, I began to see new hair coming in. Now after a few months I have hair an inch long in previous thinning and bald areas. My scalp is also improving as well and I have less psoriasis breakouts on my scalp. My hair is soft and feels thicker after using the conditioner. I highly recommend this product for hair regrowth.

Before using this product, I was experiencing excessive hair loss - my hair was coming out in clumps and started to look like a strange greasy, stringy mess no matter what I did with it - I felt so embarrassed and self-conscious of my hair the whole time and was really disheartened that nothing seemed to be working. I have now been using Nioxin System 2 for just under a year and have had great results. I did almost give up a few months in as I didn’t think it was doing anything but I eventually decided to persevere and I’m so glad I did! My parting has almost entirely regrown and no longer looks like a Christmas tree is forming. Overall, I am very pleased with Nioxin and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future. The only negative is the step 3 scalp treatment foam - no matter how much or how little I use, it leaves my hair feeling weighed down, sticky and unmanageable. It is nearly impossible to brush my hair with the scalp treatment applied and the advice on the packaging is to not wash it off after application which then leaves my hair stiff and emphasises the sparse areas of my lengths due to how the foam makes my hair stick together at the root. I have now taken to applying the scalp treatment at night before bed and wash my hair as usual (step 1 shampoo and step 2 conditioner) for the daytime so that I am still using all three steps at some point but without leaving my hair a dirty feeling, sticky mess with little movement during the day.

This was something I am not used to – having an oily scalp I usually confine conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends. So I was a bit nervous about applying it to my scalp. My hair did feel clean and fuller, but after 2 days my scalp felt a bit itchy and slightly oily. Not sure if this is a reaction to a new product, or will continue.The treatment is the third step that really focuses on thickening hair apparently – a few pumps after washing and conditioning hair, and the hair strands are coated and thickened, as well as protected from UV rays – so the hair looks fuller because it is treated right from the roots. I love the fact that the treatment is applied after washing, and is no-rinse – I am not a fan of products that have you waiting around with a treatment and then having to jump back in the shower. Who has the time for this these days?Even though I had never heard of Nioxin my hairdressers had, and actually gave it their seal of approval – considering it is not one of the products they stock, that is quite a recommendation! Like the packaging said, they told me Nioxin is great for thickening hair and making it fuller right from the scalp.After a few weeks I have been very happy with the results from this hair trio – I can’t actually measure my hair’s diameter but it does feel thicker and bouncier, without feeling dry on the ends – tick, and double tick. However, it may not suit people with oily roots to condition the scalp – after a few uses I decided to skip that step.The only criticism I would make is the minimal and virtually hidden instructions. While I don’t need to be told how to use shampoo, it took me a while to find leave-in information for the conditioner – I finally saw the arrow telling you to peel back the label, and there it was. Leave-in times can vary wildly so this is important. There was also limited information for the treatment – I had no idea how many pumps to use, only to do it “evenly” so I really had to guess how much.For this reason I gave the pack 4 stars.

It’s the treatment you want!

When I first started to use it I saw major improvement in the amount of hair that fell out in between washes. After a while I think my scalp became a little immune to it and my hair began falling out again but less than when I originally began using this. However, the star product here is the scalp & hair treatment which you apply all over your scalp and leave in. I noticed when this ran out and I was using the shampoo and conditioner on its own my hair loss increased significantly. When using this, not only does your hair stop falling out but it also gives life and volume to your hair. If you don’t want to break the bank try using the treatment on its own with your current shampoo and conditioner- you will not be disappointed!

I recently had some hair loss due to thyroid and an IUD inserted. I had the IUD removed because my hair was coming out in handfuls, that never happened to me before so I knew it was the IUD. Far as my thyroid it’s hypothyroidism now, I was hyperthyroidism when I found out, and my hair did come out when I took a radiation pill. But over the years I’ve noticed thinning in the top of my head, and my scalp was visible. I’m only in my early 40’s and I wasn’t okay with my hair being noticeably thin. So I decided to try Nioxin to see what it will do for me since it has helped so many others. So that party is what scares me, because I like to change things up. It did define my curls, my hair was soft, and I believe if I was to be consistent I will see the results I want to see. I am an African American woman and I never use heat or chemicals in my hair, my hair has been the same since I was born, just a natural curly curl. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars because I don’t like that I will have to use lifetime or my hair will get thin again.

Smells good/hair feels clean and fresh

Product is as described. Three bottles, 2 for use in shower, 1 for after shower. Just started using so can't say that I have seen any improvement yet. Will continue to use for the next 30 days. Shampoo has a clean, slightly citrus scent. Conditioner is minty and gives a tingly sensation to scalp. The leave-in foam at first makes your hair feel a bit stiff/oily but it dries fine and I do notice a slight lift in volume near my scalp. Hoping to see some new growth.
