Nioxin System 4 Scalp & Hair Treatment 100ml

As a female who only washes my hair once a week it’s hard for me to say as of now if this is making significant changes to my hair. This is something that I would need to try for months to really know, but I’m out of time for this review. The shampoo has the cooling/minty feeling which I like but does make the hair feel pretty dry. The conditioner says “scalp treatment†so I concentrate in on my scalp area and apply a different condition to my ends. Even when I’ve applied the conditioner all over my hair it still felt dry so I have always used a more moisturizing conditioner on my ends. The leave in spray does make my hair feel thicker after I blow dry it but if you apply too much you hair will feel dirty so use sparingly. I received this product for free from Nixon and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. So I will say I do not know how I ended up trying the kit for thinning hair because I do have extra thick hair but I did go ahead and try out the kit so here are my thoughts on the leave in treatment. I believe this did give some volume to my hair which would be great for thinning hair. However I felt like it left my hair very brittle and it was very drying to my hair. It created tangles where there was not any. I ended up using part of my normal after shower products to make it through just to help it feel not so damaged. I also let my hair air dry afterwards as well. I will not be using this again on my hair. smells wonderful there is no medicated smell to it but once you use it you can feel medication treating not only your hair but your scalp. I had gastric bypass and I have lost a serious amount of hair. I was advised by my dermatologist to try Nioxin, and was excited to try it. I have to say that I noticed within a couple days that I stopped losing so much hair and now I am only losing a normal amount due to showering and styling. I enjoy the light minty sent and it leaves my hair soft and healthy looking. I have loved this product! I must say, I have only used this conditioner along with the whole system (shampoo, conditioner, treatment), but I LOVE it as a system. I really feel like the scalp and hair treatment is really the secret sauce of the system. I enjoyed the fresh, menthol minty smell and refreshing cooling feeling on my scalp! I did notice some scalp redness after using the treatment, but it sounds like that can be normal as it increases blood flow to the scalp. I did notice some hair regrowth, especially around my hairline! Please note that I did color my hair, which is why it is lighter in the after. But overall, I am very happy with this product! I do not shampoo my hair daily and I try to go as many days as possible in between washes. That being said, I still saw some results in the short amount of time I used this product. My scalp can be on the dry side sometimes and it’s been looking clear with no irritation. The conditioner is nice and a little goes a long way. I massage the shampoo and conditioner into my scalp and I try to keep both products on for a few minutes in the shower so they can “sink in and work their magic†. After the shower I wrap my hair in a hair towel to absorb most of the moisture. Using a wide tooth comb, I detangle my hair, make a part on my scalp and spray the scalp treatment. I continue this all over my head. Comb-part-spray. I massage this product into my head and then style as usual. Ever since having kids (7 years ago) my hair has gone from crazy thick to thinning. It’s depressing and scary. I’ve collagen and biotin but I didn’t notice much of a difference. After using Nioxin for this short amount of time, I’m already seeing baby hairs!!! I’m hoping it’s new growth and not breakage. It looks like new to me. I wish this campaign was longer so I could have more time to know for sure. I’m happy with the results. When I finish this set, I may bump up to system 2.

The container has a user friendly tip/nozzle on the end making it easier for the product to be applied on the scalp and not all over the hair itself. This treatment is watery and not thick at all. I can get the product distributed evenly over my scalp when the hair is towel dried and not dripping wet. I did notice a difference within 2 months of not this hair treatment my hair felt less healthy. When I got out of the shower there was more hair around the drain my brush was full of hair again and just looked awful. With all the money I spend on having my hair cut and colored, or buying products that promise voluminous hair with one use. I wasn't going to have any hair left. I started using the thinning hair line treatments immediately. I only use this product 3 or 4 times a week now its mostly for maintenance. The Nioxin hair line really works!! You just have to use the products consistently and stick with them. I wish I would have found this sooner.

I have never heard of this brand and was a little worried about using it. I was alittle confused because on the post card that came in the voxbox says it’s for thick hair. But on the bottles it says light thinning. Also when I used it I didn’t like how it made my hair feel while and after use. I’m not sure how to even describe it. But it gave my hair like synthetic feel to it. My husband made a joke saying it smelled like toothpaste lol. My hair is thick and curly and I didn’t feel like this brand suited my hair texture. I definitely will not be buying this. But this is my opinion. What doesn’t work for me may work for others. It’s definitely a big no for me.

I received this Nioxin Kit in my VoxBox and although I feel like I didn't get to use it long enough before reviewing, I am still impressed with the results. When it comes to the Scalp and Hair Treatment spray specifically, I'm not sure that it added to the effectiveness of the system. The shampoo and conditioner work wonderfully and give immediate results. I have used it both with and without the treatment spray and all I noticed from the added step was a crunchiness to the area of hair where it was applied. That could be my fault for applying too much at once though. It's possible that it needs to be used for a longer period of time before giving any noticable results. Overall this system is great and I would use it in the future for hair thinning/loss.
