Nitecore FX3 USB-C Battery Charger

Did not want to pay $70 for a charger and disliked using the built in camera charging, so I wanted to look for a dedicated charger.Most third party chargers in the market are the basic chargers that only charger + and - pins and all look the same. Can charge two batteries at one. One battery charges much faster.2. Type C connection.3. Has a feature that can rate how good the batteries are. This is basically the Battery Age feature the Fuji bodies have in the user settings. Nice that you can see it here for reference.4. Price compared to Fuji's charger.5. Battery slots hold batteries securely.And with the negatives1. The strange design of this charger. It is weird that the second slot is behind the first, I really do not get that. Charging one battery is fine, since there is rubber feet that prevent it from slipping. Perhaps they prioritized compactness over appearances.2. In my unit, the second slot is very stiff when removing the battery. This does not happen on the first slot. This charger uses the slot mechanism similar to Canon DSLR batteries that you place and slide. Those charger in my experience work much better compared to this. Could be due to limited use perhaps.3. This charger lacks the safety ratings the Fuji charger has, which is UL certified. It probably is good, but certification would put give me peace of mind.* Not a negative, but in my unit the screen's Remove before use protection film cannot be remove for some reason? I guess it stays on for now.In conclusion, it is very close in being a total replacement to the Fuji charger. Perhaps they can redesign to have both slots facing up and provide fast charging to both slots. Maybe adding certification like UL, but that is a stretch.I recommend this charger for those wanting a dedicated charger for their Fuji cameras. I do not like how camera companies are removing dedicated chargers in their bodies.

It is supposed to charge the newest Fuji batteries, and it does. I don't have anything to compare against for speed, so I can't make a useful comment. The readout is easy to read and clear. It doesn't seem to overheat, though I am using it in a house environment.

I was not familiar with the Nitecore brand but thought if B&H sells it, quality must be good... and, it is. I'm impressed with this small unit that can charge up to two Fuji NP-W235 batteries at one time. Lightweight, small. I recommend.
