Having a digital read out for the battery charging is a great idea to give a more accurate idea of the progress. The disappointments that come in are that the battery does not fit securely in the tray. Any slight tap or nudge, and the battery moves away from the charging pins. This is a big deal because you could be moving it aside and accidentally knock the battery out of a charging state and then all that time would be lost, especially when you were relying on it to be fully charged and ready for use. Secondly, that USB cable that is attached is extremely short and hard to remove when you need to use it. It would have been nice to offer a female micro-usb or usb-c interface so that you can simply plug a cable into it like most other chargers. Because I cannot have that confidence in reliability mainly because of the fit of the battery, I won't be using this product unfortunately.

I like this charger over others I have. For critical moment when needing charge, the via USB is absolutely great. Can charge while literally on the go when plugged into power bank, laptop or even solar with Goal Zero panels. Reasonably priced+holds battery secure enough while charging (use silicone hair tie or rubber band to ensure bind in case of hard jostling), plus LCD display has lots of info: indicates health + progress of battery charging. Only con is the cable is very short easy remedied with USB extension adapter. essential for on location shooting. No power=No shots

On paper this looks excellent. Charges two batteries, works off any USB power source on the go, digital display. The reality is sadly not that good. There is a stupidly short captive power lead that is useless for anything except plugging into a power bank so you need an extension cable unless you want to balance it on top of the wall charger, and there is no way to plug in a standard USB-C or similar phone charger lead from a wall charger. Using a power bank it seems to 'fool' the power bank into turning off early so that doesn't work particularly well. The batteries don't clip in securely and you only need to give it a slight bump for the batteries to dislodge or fall out entirely, so forget using it in a car on a bumpy road (though you can put a sturdy elastic ... MoreOn paper this looks excellent. Was looking for a USB travel charger for Nikon EN-EL15 batteries and the Nitecore UNK2 fit the bill. Works well and the display shows the charging status for each battery.Build quality is fine, and based on prior experience with Nitecore products I'm confident this charger will provide years of good service. The only downside is the attached USB cable is very short, perhaps a couple of inches, necessitating the use of a not-always-available USB extension cord. Ideally, the charger should have had a USB-C port on it for use with standard cables. Hopefully a future redesign will incorporate this.
Absent mindedly ordered this not realizing I also need a powerful USB charger to use with, so I need two USB chargers (one for computer/phone) with this to travel. I prefer my cheaper plug in changer that's only slightly larger.Still this does two batteries at once so I should test it. Keeping it as a back up but probably wouldn't have bought it in the first place.
I have found this charger to be exactly what I need. It is very well made, shows battery level and health on an easy to read display, and, most notably, fits itself into a compact and minimalist form factor. It's 2021, so who doesn't already have a USB type A charging port within arms reach at all times? Without fuss and dragging out a spaghetti of cords I can charge up anywhere.I wish it would hold on to the batteries a bit stronger, as they can jostle themselves loose if I'm charging in the center console of my car while driving. This is the nature of my Nikon OE charger as well though, and I don't see it as a flaw. After trying other solutions, this is the only one I carry with my anymore. I recommend it highly.
I love the Nitecore UNK2! I don’t have to worry about charging my batteries at the house if need be. I have recently been doing photos and video in nature where I am not near an electrical source. This solves my problem. I use the USB adapter for my car and my problem is solved! This product keeps you up to date on the charging process on its easy to read digital display. Thank you nitecore for such a fantastic product!
Its small footprint makes it your camera bag's best friend. You also get 2 chargers for ½ the size of a MH25b.Additional benefits:- Its embedded USB connector keeps you away from searching for a f … cable that hides in your camera bag.- While traveling, it easily allows you to recharge batteries in-between sites using a car lighter USB adapter. Bonus, especially in this days of power hungry mirrorless models. My last hope is about its durability: I like things that last. From what I have seen so far about its construction, the device seems quite sturdy.Shall you enjoy the UNK2 and thanks to B&H for letting me voicing my viewpoints.
This thing is TINY. In a good way. It's also super light, but then it's also a little cheap feeling, but that matches the price. The displayed total charge will not go over 1999 ma, and just stops counting, but it will fully charge an en el15c. With two batteries into a samsung charging brick, hovers around 900 ma per battery. The cable is little awkward, but i bought a pearstone short usb c adapter which works perfect. Has some flaws, but it's tiny, lightweight, and does the job it's designed for.
Bought this Nitecore UNK2 Dual Charger to use with my Nikon Z7 II. The camera came with the MH-25A Nikon charger but only does one battery at a time, I wanted to get another Nikon MH-25A but they are super scarce and have not been available for a long period of time. This Nitecore will do two batteries at a time, has a LCD screen that lets you know about the charging process and battery condition. So far this unit has performed perfectly for me charging the Nikon EN-EL15C batteries at least as quickly as the Nikon charger does or perhaps just a tad bit quicker. Works great, compact, solidly built and I have not found the short USB cord attached to it to be any problem whatsoever. I would recommend this little charger and would purchase again.
