And first glance, this is a thick paste that smells like my grandma. The texture is thick but when put onto wet skin it turns very liquidy and doesn’t absorb well. After trying different methods, I found that in order to use this product well you need to wash your face and then pay dry until your skin is only slightly damp. Then take a small amount and warm it up on your fingers. This will soften the formula and make the solution a bit thinner and easier to apply. If you do this, then it absorbs beautifully into the skin and gives great hydration. I use this before bed as it takes a bit to fully absorb into the skin, and I wake up with glowy hydrated skin! It’s great if you know how to use it and don’t mind the scent.

I like to use this cream at night. It’s just a basic moisturizer that gets the job done. It’s not too greasy and it’s not too matte, it’s in between more toward the greasier side, that’s why I use it at night only. I really like it because it doesn’t just sit on top of my skin. It has absorbent ingredients which I look for all the time. Some don’t like this because it has alcohol but that just helps the product not be so greasy and absorb well. It’s actually moisturizing and does not break me out. I have tried other night creams and with many I break out if it’s too heavy. I would get small bumps but from this I never do. It's a thick, occlusive cream, good for really locking in moisture at night. I have oily, acne-prone skin and had no breakouts from it. It is definitely scented, but I didn't find it overwhelming or unpleasant. Performance wise, I found it very similar to offerings from Eucerin. It works well enough as a night cream, but no miracles. If you want an extra barrier layer over your serums or light moisturizers, it might be worth a try. She THICC

This stuff is no joke. I have dry, cracked skin during the winter and thought I’d give this a try. It is VERY thick and takes a while to be absorbed into your skin. If you have an aversion to thick creams and feeling slightly sticky for a couple hours, this is not for you. It is a little too thick and heavy for my liking, but it seems to do a good job moisturizing so far and people swear by this product. It takes some time to really rub it into your skin, but I do find that if you warm the creme in your hand, application will be much easier. The scent is subtle, clean and neutral. A little goes a long way. This tub is probably going to last me a year. If you’re thinking about trying this product, I suggest getting the small tin first.

Timeless multipurpose cream we all grew up with. Unfortunately, be aware my dear Canadians that this wonderful cream with 100 years of history making on its back, is about to change to a 'vegan' formula...Sadly, Nivea in Germany has already started 'experimenting' in 3 countries (Greece, Belgium and Netherlands) with its new plant formula. A friend brought with her from visiting Europe and the new cream is nothing like the classic one. It smells like an imitation of the original and has a watery but sticky consistence that does not apply well on the skin. After 10 minutes or so, the skin smells like corn oil.. It's so ridiculous that Nivea did this. The company's intention is to launch its new cream without people realizing it's not the same anymore... Both formulas could still be available and allow the consumers to choose their favorite.
