The famous “Nivea Cream in the Blue Jar” is a product I purchased at the recommendation of a friend after much research. This is the one the whole internet compares to La Mer and calls a $4 dupe for an $800 face cream. Don’t be fooled - it is not. The ingredients are nowhere close to the same, and after actually using the real La Mer on my face, the results were not similar for me. I have owned this product for a year. I used it on my face and hated the consistency, weird minty sensation, and odd moist feeling it had on my skin. It also gave my combination-oily skin fungal acne when used over serum. On my body, it also felt odd and did not penetrate in a way that made me want to wash my skin almost immediately. I purchased this product for less than $5 at my local ... It is one I attempted to use several times. I didn’t make a dent it. It is a great value for the money IF this is a product that works well for you. However, for the marketing claims and my experience with the product based on my skin type, this is not a product I can encourage anyone to buy.

I was picked from topbox to #trywithtopbox this #freeproduct in exchange for my honest review. I've seen and heard about Nivea products in the past but never got a chance to try it myself. I was really impressed with how long the moisture was locked in for and how it wasn't still greasy afterwards like other body butters/lotions/creams. I used this thick type of cream product for my sunburnt shoulders overnight; and it was amazingly smooth, great for sensitive skin, easy to rub in, a light scent (baby powder/floral?), and best of all locked in the moisture all night and didn't rub off on my sheets/pillow case! Will definitely be adding this to my routine in the future as its suitable for your face, (head) shoulders, knees and toes! Would recommend this product if ... And first glance, this is a thick paste that smells like my grandma. The texture is thick but when put onto wet skin it turns very liquidy and doesn’t absorb well. After trying different methods, I found that in order to use this product well you need to wash your face and then pay dry until your skin is only slightly damp. Then take a small amount and warm it up on your fingers. This will soften the formula and make the solution a bit thinner and easier to apply. If you do this, then it absorbs beautifully into the skin and gives great hydration. I use this before bed as it takes a bit to fully absorb into the skin, and I wake up with glowy hydrated skin! It’s great if you know how to use it and don’t mind the scent.
I was searching for a dupe for La Mer Moisturizing Soft Creme and bought this German market version of the Nivea Soft Creme under the advisement of many internet sites (it has different ingredients than the US version). The smell of this product is incredibly strong, stronger than the admittedly potpourri-in-a-funeral-home scent of the La Mer Moisturizing Soft Creme. A strongly scented formula is the only thing I found these two products to have in common. The Nivea creme smells like bergamot crossed with fresh laundry scent amd a slight bit of limonene. I tried using it on my face a couple of times but it made my eyes water terribly and I had to stop. I switched to using this on my hands to give it a fair trial. The smell is noticible an hour into wear. I did not ... I did not feel any noticeable moisturizing effects after a week of daily use, in fact, I noticed that my hands feel slightly drier than before when I was not using any hand moisturizer at all. 1 star given for cute tin packaging.
Bought this product for my husband, his job often times makes his hand especially his finger tips dry and crack open. He has tried a multitude of products, with very little true relief. Often times the products had a heavy fragrance that would cause his hands to burn and a few actually caused his hands to dry out even worse. However Nivea has a light clean smell, does not burn when applied and has made a huge difference in his hands and fingers. The only reason i gave this 4 stars instead of 5, is because this being a cream it takes longer to fully absorb, and a few times he has said it almost feels sticky. Perhapse it could be that in those instances he used a little too much, or it could simply be due to the nature of this formula. Over all very pleased and would ... Was able to purchase the European version of this cult favorite at a discount store. It is often hyped as comparable to La Mer without the exorbitant price tag. The ingredients differ slightly between the European (made in Germany) and North American (Made in Mexico) versions though. It's a thick, occlusive cream, good for really locking in moisture at night. I have oily, acne-prone skin and had no breakouts from it. It is definitely scented, but I didn't find it overwhelming or unpleasant. Performance wise, I found it very similar to offerings from Eucerin. It works well enough as a night cream, but no miracles. If you want an extra barrier layer over your serums or light moisturizers, it might be worth a try. I've never used the storied LaMer, so I can't make an ... Nivea cream is a popular skincare product that has been around for over a century. Overall, I think it's a great product that delivers on its promises. One of the things I like about Nivea cream is its versatility. It can be used on the face, body, and hands, making it a great all-purpose moisturizer. It also works well for all skin types, from dry to oily. The cream itself has a thick and creamy consistency, which feels luxurious on the skin. It's also very hydrating and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. Another benefit of Nivea cream is that it absorbs quickly, without leaving any greasy residue. I have tried other night creams and with many I break out if it’s too heavy. I would get small bumps but from this I never do. It’s perfectly moisturizing and not heavy. This does have a fragrance which for some people with allergies or sensitive skin that’s not good but for me it is never an issue. I don’t use much in my skincare routine and I keep it simple so that’s why my skin isn’t sensitive. If you are using actives, then fragrance-free could be a better choice, depends on your needs. I probably could find something better, but I keep going back to this because it’s so easy to find and it gets the job done. It’s also cheap. I have tried many expensive products and this is better. This does not irritate my skin or do anything special, but it moisturizes.
