Nixon Sentry Leather Watch - Black

I would leave 0 stars if it were possible due to the poor customer service Nixon provides and the lack of value they place on loyal customers. I bought a Sentry Leather watch as a gift for my father a few years ago, and he has loved it. Unfortunately shortly after sending the watch in for a band repair this year where they said it needed a battery service as well the watch quit keeping accurate time even though it worked fine before sending for the band repair. When I tried to have the movement fixed I was told the watch could not be fixed and since it was no longer offered was not able to be replaced. This was disappointing but I was ok with it because they gave me $100 off a replacement watch from the site. What they didn't say was that I couldn't use my discount for a custom watch even though I would still be paying the difference out of pocket. That was only found out after trying to use my code and inquiring to customer care as to why it wasn't working. This was upsetting because none of the current watch offerings were in a color scheme that my father would like and be able to read well. Since I was not told the limitations on the discount when it was offered nor was it included in the e-mail with the code I felt quite cheated not being able to get as close a replacement as possible even though the options through custom make it available. When I expressed to customer care my concern that the only way for me to truly replace the watch my father loved was to make it custom, their response was to deny me any assistance and suggest I wait for the next release even though that would leave him without his watch indefinitely. I am truly disappointed that a this company has such poor customer service as to not allow a loyal customer to replace a gift for their father with something he would actually enjoy wearing. It's sad that a brand I had confidence in and planned to stay loyal to cared so little. Due to this I can no longer confidently recommend this brand to anyone who expects real customer service rather than policy parroted to them after the fact.

Thank you so much! My dad loves the watch. He is 68 this summer and wanted a dress watch that included the date on it and the hours are easily visible. It’s a good size too, not too big but definitely easy for him to read. He lit up when he opened it on Father’s Day! It also came in the mail sooner than the quoted date. Will definitely go to Nixon for future gifts. Thank You!

I purchased the copper and brown leather sentry watch and I keep getting compliments on it. It fits quite nicely, and looks great. I have skinnier wrists so I was worried the watch would look too large proportionately but it looks great. It keeps its time as well, which is needed from a watch. The clasp is also off-set from the center of the watch so it doesn’t scratch anything when you rest your wrist on a table. Great design, looks great, functions perfectly.
