I got this the first time it came out in Aug 2016. When it first came out there wasn’t a lot to do except to fly around and scanned different animals, plants and materials (ie rocks). It wasn’t that fun but now after several updates, I would definitely tell people if they like an adventure game to get this game. It is a bit difficult at the beginning but after about 50 to 75 game hours this game gets really fun with the different types of basses and different type of game plays. I suggest if anybody is bored to look into this game and get it. Very amazing now

This is one of my favourite games. There is so much to do in this game and it can be as big as you make it. The graphics are amazing and the game is constantly being updated so it’s always getting better. It’s a free roaming game where you explore the universe by exploring planets that have different atmosphere from tropical planets to fire planets to ice planets. You have to explore different alien species and learn their languages. You get to build your base where and however you want. The most important part, i believe is the fact you have different game modes. Creative, survival, permi-death. Would totally recommend. 10/10

Wish I could speak on how the port compares to the other console ones but so far this game is great. Really good time waster for anyone who is into resource management games with a huge emphasis on exploration. Runs well enough on Switch. Have only had one instance where there was a substantial frame rate drop but that was resolved fairly quickly

I absolutely love this game with the new updates they released recently (October, I think of 2022). There’s so much to explore and it runs really well on the Nintendo Switch considering how massive the game is. When mining ores though there is a bit of lag making it kind of annoying. But you have to give your mining beam a break anyways so it’s not too bad. There’s so much to do on this game and so many different ways to play that it’s totally worth the price of the game because of the endless worlds to explore. It also goes on sale in the e-shop so if you want this game but want to get it for a deal just keep an eye on sales in the eshop or through best buy or other places. You can find this game on all other platforms too and no matter which you choose, you won’t ... MoreI absolutely love this game with the new updates they released recently (October, I think of 2022). There is very little guidance on what to do. There doesn't seem to be much of a storyline. The graphics are nice but kinda sloppy, my daughter asked me if it was a demo version. There is a lot of reading, I don't play games to read. It is a very cerebral game, good for some but not what I thought it was going to be. Good for someone who enjoys constant grinding for materials. The controls are optimized for a computer use not for game controllers. Probably a more enjoyable game on the PC.I played it for about 4 hours and I just stopped because I realized I wasn't having any fun. I will definitely do more research on games before purchasing.
I hadn’t played tbis game because we only use a Switch in our home. So far the experience is awesome to have in portable form. You can tell the game isnt rendering at the screen’s native resolution, and all graphical complaints in reviews are accurate. It doesnt necessarily take away from the experience. I felt like i was alone on a planet trying to survive. The guidance early on is great to get you started. If you can get this at a teduced price, i recommend it to anyone who likes a survival or space-themed adventure .
I have been waiting for this and so shocked this massive game plays so well on Switch. Honesty-time: framerate is choppy. Oh is it choppy! But for some reason I forgive it because it’s soooo massive in scope that I am grateful to even get it on-the-go. And for me, it doesn’t stutter too much to make me not wanna play at all. Lowest I’ve seen this is 30 bucks on Switch and I totally think it’s worth it at that price!!
The game is amazing and this port brings almost everything that's been added in updates. The only things that are missing are the settlements and multiplayer. The game runs really well considering the lower power of the hardware. Pop in is an issue with elements such as ground cover as you walk. Blasting holes in the ground is unresponsive at times and you have to keep blasting until the engine registers it but I believe that this can be improved in updates. Graphics and textures aren't what you get on the other platforms either but the game is really solid and fun as is. I would recommend this to any fan of no man's sky!
No Man’s Sky is an AMAZING port for the switch. I was playing for 6 hours straight and didn’t notice any lag…I was consistently hitting 30 FPS while docked. It’s a little overwhelming in the beginning because you have to learn how to a variety of tools to help you along your journey, but they have a creative option (somewhat like Ark and Minecraft) where you can still progress through the story with little to no consequences against your character or cratfable items.
excellent game for it does/ has everything. crafting, base building, space / planet exploring, trading, space combat with ships. land combat with weapons. very richly layered experience.negative is the game crashes regularly. but continues where last saved which is very often. so no progress is really lost. just time to restart.
