The noblechairs EPIC Gaming Chair in BlackRed is an archetypal luxury gaming chair featuring a 100% vegan PU leather cover of the highest quality. This royal model shines in elegant black with red accents. For optimal breathability, the material is finely perforated throughout the entire seating and contact area, and additionally, the lumbar area and seat surface are embroidered with a diamond pattern, whose delicate elevations create air pockets, contributing to optimal ventilation—even in the height of summer. The sides of the gaming chair are attractively framed by black stripes made of coarse artificial suede, whose texture is reminiscent of real suede. All seams at the edges and on the backrest of the gaming chair have been intricately woven by industrial embroidery machines with the utmost accuracy and precision. The attention to detail in the design of the EPIC series is also evident in the numerous fine features. A subtly embossed crown logo adorns the headrest, while an elliptical aluminum plaque with relief lettering is placed on the backrest. Finally, the right side of the seat surface is accentuated by a red leather cutout with golden logo embroidery. The gaming chair is made from excellent materials. Polyurethane (PU) leather offers characteristics comparable to genuine leather and is a synthetic resin that was first developed in the 1930s in Leverkusen and has since permeated all areas of human life. Due to its outstanding material properties, it is rightly standard in premium upperclass automobiles from all renowned manufacturers today. Similar to sports cars, the artificial leather used by noblechairs is 1.5 millimeters thick, in contrast to conventional gaming chairs.

A really nice good looking chair but with one exception

Starting the Post is a tricky one because i want to start off by saying that although the Chair is "Designed in Germany" a place renowned for building quality products this Noble chair is actually manufactured in China, having said that the quality of the chairs manufacturing seems very high. It Doesn't bother me but it is something to be aware of and something that I had overlooked thinking the chair was built in Germany. The packaging was of very high quality, really thick sturdy cardboard, so damage during shipping should be non-existent under normal delivery conditions. I was really quite impressed in this department.Putting the Chair together is pretty easy the tool for screwing the back of the chair to the base is although quirky as its part of the Alley key, pretty useless so you will definitely need a Phillips head screwdriver here. Apart from that Alan Key for other bolts is fine although a bit rough on your hands if you really want to crank the bolts down. The Instruction sheet is clear and precise. As for the seat its self it has an elegant design whilst keeping the gaming looking, a nice mix of fake leather and what looks like suede around the edges is a nice touch, couple that with smart stitching you have a chair that really does look the business! One strange thing i did notice is there are two pointless zips running down each side of the back of the chair that are presumably there for aesthetics doesn't bother me but still worth a mention for the sake of transparency. Now to comfort and ease of use.The Chair base cushion is firm to hard, its not uncomfortable but it does take a bit of getting used to. If you where looking for soft cushioning this chair probably isn't for you. Having said that i have sat in the chair for 5 plus hours without any discomfort. Also on the base cushion i have thick thighs so i find the underside of my knees hang over the corners of the base cushion again not a problem for me but worth a mention for the thick thigh'd amongst us. The back cushion is comfortable and shapes to your body nicely even if you have broad shoulders. The head rest cushion I must say is really really comfortable and find myself using it all the time. Love how soft it is!!!! The Arm rests are a Plastic but are good quality, they are stiff and steady and there is lots of adjust-ability here. The tilt of the chair base is very good and you get a nice tilted back position that you can lock to your own preference. The Reclining feature is great again you can tailor it to your own liking to simply lie right back and chill. The Chairs gas lift seems go up a good high and also lowers with a smooth action although I'm only 5' 8'' so don't have a problem in that department . The caster wheels are nice quality and roll nicely on a carpet protector, a bit harder on carpet but still not too bad.NOW TO MY ONE PROBLEM WITH THE CHAIR. The chair has a lumber support cushion! You can move the it up and down the back of the chair with elastic straps but you cannot change the thickness of the cushion so your upper body is forced away from the chair unless you are in a reclined position. Why for the hefty price of the chair isn't there the more elegant solution of an air bag inside the chair that can be pumped up and adjusted to suit the users needs, i guess it comes down to production cost. (this feature I use at work everyday on an operators chair in work and it does make a difference over 12hours!)For those of you who are blessed with a good back then you can simply take off this cushion and the chair would be spot on. ........................................IF you have read to the end well done, sorry it took a while but you (hopefully) have a fuller picture of what you will buying and some of my . All in All would i recommend this chair, very much so, even with the oversight of the Lumber Support cushion it's still a great chair and if it's your first really 'luxury' chair you will probably feel with like the bomb just looking at it!!

Absolutely amazing but needs a bit of tweaking.

Starting from the beginning. The packaging was spot on. Mostly easy to get to whilst also being well protected. Building was pretty easy, it's mostly like the usual desk chair with slight differences. The bolts for the chair are actually in the chair and I discovered this the hard way. Pretty straight forwardand I am shocked at how great this chair is with the minimal effort required to build apart from the bolts for the back, but that was my fault haha. Coming from an old styled desk chair, this is like upgrading from a P4 to an i7. The comfort is amazing! Not as great as those luxury executive desk chairs, but it's certainly amazing and the back support spot on for me. The wheels glide along with 0 resistance on carpet, and plastic mats and when going from the carpet to mat, usual desk chair gets stuck at times, this had no such issues. Rubber wheels are something off skateboards which I thought was clever! I'm a pretty big guy, and I can do the whole leaning back with ease. In fact, I did this whilst listening to music at my PC and almost fell asleep. My only issue and I'm not sure if it's probably my nitpicking. The arm rests are unable to be fixed properly and because of this, they're tad loose and wobble a bit. I've checked to see if I could remedy this or if I missed something, but this seems to be how they're meant to be? It soon goes when resting your arms, but when pulling/pushing the chair from the right arm rest the arm rest swivels 60 and this is using the normal strength. nothing extreme or over the top. It's easy to overlook and doesn't interfere with usual use. This has everything I wanted and also what I didn't think I wanted. I also understand this review is lengthy, but hoping this will help people with decision making and also learn from me about the back rest and it's bolts already in place.Seriously, a phenomenal product.

Awesome chair, but not quite perfect

I needed something to help me during long study sessions that didn't aggravate my lower back after 30 minutes of sitting. And after several months of use I'm glad to say this is the chair. The first couple of days were a bit rough, but after that I could sit for hours without realising (particularly great if you're gaming and lose track of the time!). The finish on this chair is fantastic, and after extensive use everyday I've yet to notice any sign of wear. I've had chairs in the past where something starts to fray or come loose after a couple of months but I'm glad to report this hasn't happened yet.The chair itself is fantastic, but there are a few comments worth noting as others have mentioned. The first being the instructions included; they aren't great. It's not too difficult to figure out how to assemble the chair, but there was an element of trial and error involved. The chair is also very heavy! Which is actually a good thing since it's a good sturdy chair. But as someone who didn't have an extra pair of hands to help it was pretty hard to get it together. There were a few niggly bits that would have been a lot easier to put together if there was someone there to assist. Overall it took about an hour to assemble and I was sweating after it. Definitely get someone to help if you're looking to get it up quick.I also get the impression this chair is designed with guys in mind, or the tall, at least. I'm 5'6 (female) and my feet hang a couple of inches off the ground. If I flex my feet my toes can touch the ground, and this is with the chair on the lowest height. This leads to issues with posture and having your legs dangle. Luckily for me I have a foot rest I can use, so it's not a problem for me, but it's important to consider before buying. The two pillows included are nice - very comfy and soft. I just wish they had a removable cover that was washable, especially the neck pillow. There are a few things that could be improved, but I don't regret spending 300 on this chair. Once you get it assembled it's a dream. It looks great and is super comfy to sit in. Would definitely recommend this chair, and would probably buy another one for work when I get the chance.

Excellent chair
8 September 2021

Right from when you get the box, you know this is a good quality chair. The cardboard already is firm and resistant. Then, you open it, and it is perfectly packaged and secure. As soon as you start taking the parts out of the box, you can tell the quality of this product. I work on my feet, and a lot of times I carry heavy stuff around, which you feel in your back, then, when I am home, I expend most of the time in the computer, so having a chair that would treat my back well was a need, and this chair covers it. The assembly was really easy, they recommend to do it with two people, but I did it on my own and was a breeze. The box with the screws and the allen key comes really well organised, so you don't have to dig through a bag full of screws to find the right ones. If you also have your own screwdriver set that has allen key heads, it will be even faster than it already is. The box is heavy (67 pounds), but most of all is HUGE, so even if you can easily lift that weight, you will probably have difficulty to get hold of it, so I would recommend to people to carry it, specially if you need to go upstairs. On the final note, I'm not sure if I would recommend this chair to someone that is specially short. I am 5'8''/175cm and my feet sit perfectly on the floor when I have the chair to the lowest, so if you are a short person, you will probably be in your tiptoes. In general, this is an excellent chair, and for the quality of it, I am most certain that it will last for a very long time, so it is totally worth the money.

Excellent chair, false info.
8 September 2021

First off I already love this chair but I want to start with my biggest, and thus far only, complaint. Overclockers claim on the product page that the max user weight is 180KG. The manufacturer says it's only 120KG on their website and more weirdly only 100KG on the card inside the box. :/This is one of the more important pieces of information that must be correct in order to prevent the chair failing on the first sitting potentially causing injury. Now, to the good. This is everything else about the chair. It looks very sleek, the black/red combo is very nice, so far it feels comfortable to sit on, the reclining function is excellent and goes very far back and forward. The wheels roll across my laminate floor very well, the armrests are actually very good and can be adjusted to suit the way you sit.The pillows for the head and back are welcome additions, although I am yet to use them both. Moving on to assembly there's not very much to say other than it is very easy to assemble. Took no longer than 20 minutes to assemble fully, if that.To summarise, the whole chair feels sturdy and like it is built to last, but given it is 300 at the time of purchase that's not surprising. I do recommend this chair but remember that it is rated at 120KG MAX weight not 180KG.

Excellent style and quality
8 September 2021

The Germans have a certain reputation for engineering and quality and certainly this chair is no exception. From the moment you open the box its easy to see that it has been packed to perfection, the instructions are clear and the build process is simple. The quality of the chair is exceptional, from the metal base to the detailed stitching work its every bit as good to look at as it is to sit in. The many adjustments mean you can always find a comfortable position whether you are casual gaming or performing office work, and the chair mechanism reclines and adjusts silently, no horrible creaking or rubbing sounds.Despite the otherwise glowing review I do have two very minor complaints, the first of which is it's ability to move on carpeted flooring. Hard surfaces pose no problem, but the weight and shape of the wheels mean it takes quite a lot of force to move on carpet. My only other complaint is the lack of padding on the armrests. The armrests are fantastic in their adjustability, however having used this chair for long bouts of gaming my forearms got chaffed due to the hard nature of the padding material.Overall these are minor gripes and I would highly recommend this chair. My favorite aspect is the style, which is much more subtle and mature looking than most of the other gaming chairs on the market. This wouldnt look out of place in a high end Audi sports car.

Incredibly high quality chair
8 September 2021

I spent a lot of time researching the best chair and hopefully some of what I say here may be useful to someone. I'll try and cover everything I can here so this will probably be a long one.I'm a 3D games artist and therefore spend a lot of my time working at my PC. I needed a chair that would keep me comfortable and support my back whilst I work/game. I wanted a chair that was both high in quality and extremely comfortable. This chair meets both of those requirements. If I am splashing out 200-300 on a chair I want to make sure it's of the highest quality possible and that it will last. This chair meets both of those requirements. If I am splashing out 200-300 on a chair I want to make sure it's of the highest quality possible and that it will last. After doing some research on Noblechairs I found that quality is one of their primary goals.Noblechair's passion for quality was something that was missing from most of their competitors and this immediately drew me to them. The price of this chair was a little more than I was hoping to pay (I had originally planned to pay around 200) however I decided that I could justify paying a bit more as a chair isn't just about the aesthetic but it is also about your health. Plus I spend upwards of 10 hours a day at my PC working and sometimes gaming so I felt I could warrant spending the extra money and boy am I glad I did.I could tell as I was building this chair that it is of extreme quality. I was a little skeptical of building my own chair at first as I haven't built much furniture before but the process was very straightforward. I had a friend who helped me with it but you could quite easily build this chair by yourself. The build process took around 20 minutes.I'm exactly 6 foot, and quite thin (I weigh about 12 stone/76kg). This chair fits me perfectly. My neck comes right up against the head support cushion. The lumbar support cushion also fits perfectly in my lower back. After trying a few other brands of gaming chairs I can say that the lumbar and head support cushions of this chair are far softer and more comfortable than theirs. One thing to mention, this chair is a little firmer than I was expecting. However it softens up after a week or two of use. The firmness is also a sign of good quality padding and means that the chair will stay comfortable for much longer. Not that you should worry about the seat of this chair ever wearing down that much but if it did, there is a couple of tight elasticated straps under the seat instead of a plank of wood, meaning that even if the seat itself was to wear down over time the chair would still be incredibly comfortable. The arm rests of this chair are far more adjustable than most other armrests on other chairs (they can be moved up/down, in/out, forward/backwards). They may look like plastic but they are actually padded and comfortable to rest your arms/elbows on.The bucket style of the chair hugs you ever so slightly, giving that "cosy" feeling but because it is only a subtle "hug" it means that people with broader shoulders or a wider waist will still fit comfortably in this chair without fear of the chair's design imposing on them and causing discomfort. The base of the chair is made of metal and is very strong. You are able to recline extremely far back in this chair (not as far back as some other chairs, but I've never felt the need to lie completely horizontal, however, if you were to tilt back on the chair and recline the entire way you could get it to be basically horizontal if you need that). The height function of this chair surprised me, I usually use it on just above the lowest setting, but on the highest setting I can barely touch the floor! Could be useful to those with a foot stool under their desk or those who have very long legs or a tall desk.Overall the design of the chair is very luxurious and professional. It takes the typical gaming chair aesthetic and removes the garish bright colours in exchange for subtle trims of colour which look a lot more mature. This chair was one of the best upgrades I made to my PC setup and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new chair.

Quality product
8 September 2021

Just finished putting my new Epic chair together. Construction was fairly straightforward and took me half an hour by myself. I did struggle for five minutes to get the first bolt hole lined up while wrestling with the weight of the backrest. Once that was done the other holes were no problem. To be fair Noble do recommend having two people to build the chair and this would have been helpful in this instance. The finished chair is a quality product, sturdy with virtually no slop in any of the components. The bolts all have locking washers so its not likely they will loosen over time. The fabric is thick and well stitched, is fitted square, has no marks or blemishes and doesn't look like it will wear out quickly, but time will tell. Even the bolt and handle covers are well made injection mouldings. At no point during the build did I find myself saying: "That looks cheap, they could have spent a few quid more there." I'm 5 foot 7 inches and 170 pounds and was worried this chair might be too big for me. First impressions are that its just about OK size-wise, although I think anyone much smaller might need to use the lumbar cushion to prevent the front of the seat digging into their calves. I'm not using that but am using the neck cushion which is very soft and comfortable, anyone smaller than me might find it sitting a little too high though. The seat padding itself is firm, but then that's how I like it.The adjustments all work well. As well as up and down the seat bottom can be easily locked at any angle of tilt or just allowed to rock fore and aft, while the backrest can be angled and locked independently. Both armrests can be adjusted in all three axis by pressing and releasing buttons. I'd have liked a little more inward travel for them though as they are slightly too far apart to be ideal for me.I'd definitely recommend this chair, unless you are shorter than 5 foot 6 or prefer softly padded chairs.

Still Very Happy

As usual Overclockers customer services was brilliant. This chair was to replace another brand that seemed to suffer from discoloration on the back of the seat. They changed it without any fuss and my Noble chair arrived within a day or two. After opening the box all the components were very well wrapped and a quick check didnt show any faulty parts. Putting the chair together was fairly simple, although I did struggle a little trying to bolt the chair back onto the seat by myself. You would probably need a second pair of hands to help with that bit, in fact Noble recommend two people assemble the char. All the components fitted together without any issues, there were no misaligned bolts or anything so all good so far.The finished chair is very sturdy, the fabric itself looks very well stitched together and the blue stitching and logo give it a nice clean look. All of the handles are well placed to adjust the chair. The bolts holding the chair together all have locking washers so I dont think they will come loose too quickly. All in all, the components are well made and look like they should be part of an expensive chair. The chair also comes with a lumbar cushion and a head cushion. The head cushion is made of a very soft material and is very soft and the lumbar cushion is made of some sort of dense foam material. Again the quality of the cushions matched the chair, both having the noble logo stitched in blue to match the chair. The head cushion has a band of elastic which just loops around the chairs head rest, the lumbar cushion is attached to the chair using some elastic loops that fit through the chair and are clipped together, this is adjustable depending on how you want the lumbar cushion to sit. So very impressed so far.So I have now been using the chair for five months now. I work from home most of the time so have spent a lot of time sat in this chair. I can say I am still very happy with it. The material on the chair hasnt suffered from any discoloration or seems to be coming apart all the stitching seems to be excellent condition. I have however noticed some minor niggles.Firstly, the head cushion seems to leak the material from inside, every so often you can see the stands of fiber peeping through so its just a case of pulling them through very carefully. The chair seat also hasnt given yet, its still pretty firm as was the day I put it together, this may be a good thing as Ive sat in some chairs that have got too soft after usage. Thirdly the lumbar cushion is just too uncomfortable for me, Ive tried it several times but I just cant get on with it, I end up sitting too far forward in the chair. My last and most worrying observation that the hydraulic piston has a bit of lateral movement in it, it sometimes feels like it is rocking slightly. The piston is securely seated in both the chair stand and the chair base but seems to be moving somewhere in the middle. I turned the chair upside down and could see it moving in the join between the two sections of the piston. The chair is pretty much as low as it can go so I not sure why this has happened. Hopefully this can be sorted out under the chairs warranty.Anyway this is still a very good chair, I would recommend it to anyone.

You get what you pay for here!

I put off buying a chair for ages as I had an old crappy office chair which was fine and I couldnt justify spending money on a new one.My wife suggested to get one for my birthday so I started looking in the mid range around ~150. I found some nice looking chairs on OCUK for that price. Then this chair caught my eye! My rig colour is black and red, and this chair matexh my colour for starters. Something about the design also jumped out at me. Sporty, yet comfortable looking but it was twice the price! I checked it specs and it screamed buy me! The seating is soft as well which aid in seating longevity. The chair is quite big and stands tall , with my head sitting near the top (Im 6ft) the two cushions are fantastic. Ie for lumbar support where my back is prone to aching, and another to rest my head when I sit back and relax into the chair. That do a fantastic job in aiding comfortability. This chair really was worth spending that little bit of extra money. It really does make you feel like a king on your throne whilst you game.
