Bought this during SC Boxing Day Sale, was initially looking at the 5 amp version but the 10 amp was a no brainer at the sale price. This has repaired and fully restored two lead acid batteries; one from a old BMW and the other from my daughter's vehicle.I was a little concerned at first as it seemed to take a while to diagnose the status of the batteries but after that, it charged them both in less than 24 hours. Its fully automatic and will continuously monitor the charging process even if left connected at full charge. It's fast and can also be used as a trickle charger and also 12v power supply. Anything more powerful than this will basically just do the job faster hence the NOCO 10 is the sweet spot in the range. It'll charge 6-12V batteries and is very easy ... This product needs a major re-design. I bought it to charge back up a 2021 Mazda CX-5 battery. This is a 10 amp and it is supposed to charge in 3-6 hours. After approximately 5 hours, the battery wouldn't go past 20%. There is nothing in the instructions that tell you what to do if the charge seems to be "stuck". The connection instructions are lacking as well. It wouldn't even charge enough where you could use the automatic locks.I called a neighbor who had a 20-year old 4 amp SEARS device (yeah, older than dirt)...it charged it up in 4 hours to a FULL charge. To be fair, this device appeared to be open, but the components didn't appear to be used, but I will be returning this week for a refund. Will not buy this brand again because I have no evidence it even works.

This was an emergency buy, as my Projecta 8 amp charger died. I had limited options and ended up buying the the Noco 10 genius from Supercheap auto, after doing extensive research on the brand. I am pleased l did. My AGM batteries had totally discharged and I was sceptical about recovering them. It took about 8 hours to slowly bring the batteries back to 10.6v and then another 24 hours to get the batteries to 100%. The controls are very easy to follow, I connected my battery selected the profile required it does everything else, so nothing to worry about really. So far, it's running the AGM batteries very well, with power to spare so I highly recommend it. I purchased this charger to replace a c-tek. The charger seems to be a good unit but its a lot more difficult to use unfortunately. Rather than having 1 button to cycle through options it requires a series of button holding to enter different modes. It could be made a lot easier to use. You would have to keep the manual to guide you if you are not using it daily. It also lacks the fixed charging attachment. This is a separate purchase unlike C-tek which supplies this with the charger. It performs well but its more difficult to use.
Welp, I got this to replace my old trickle charger (that I damaged by putting it on a hot exhaust manifold for too long, lol). I have an old beater car that I don't drive much, and it has a parasite drain that has killed more than one battery. I figured I'd spend a bit extra on a "smart" charger with lots of modes (I have a couple of AGM batteries in other applications) and this one seemed to fit the bill. Well, it seems like this charger brought back my beater car's battery using repair mode (does some desulfation thing and I guess one or two other electrical tricks). Two weeks ago I ran it on the full repair cycle and then drove the car for a grocery run. Been out of the house until today and decided to try the beater, she fired right up. Same battery six months ago, if I'd let it sit for two weeks like that then it would have just enough juice to run the radio and the door ajar ding ding alarm, but turning the key to start would only give the solenoid click-click-click (if you're a gearhead then you know...).
Item looks professionally packaged and looks astonishing. However no manual instructions to operate. Had to google YouTube for 5 videos to learn how to use it. This item didn’t work like it showed on the videos and did not operate to even initiate a charge. The Mode function is not a great feature by holding several seconds to search for the right function and the bottom line it couldn’t find the repair function which was the main reason why I purchased this charger! This item is a No-Go!
Useless in my case, didn't charge my Optima AGM Prius 12V battery. It took me a solid 3 days, but the battery didn't charge. If Noco is genuinely concerned about checking the voltage, then they should build an integrated voltage detector and a Bluetooth feature. I'm an average guy, just like 95% of us who want to revive our 12V battery. Charging for 72 hours is not an effective way to achieve a 100% charge. Furthermore, their user manual provides no guidance on whether to charge the battery first and then repair it, or vice versa.Maybe, this charger works the best on the conventional car batteries, mine was a optima yellow top 46B24R group battery, I had no luck.Charger built quality was high, super sturdy and super convenient in terms of size to carry.

Why attempt to revive a battery that can't be revived? So now, if the battery is old enough, and the battery tester says REPLACE, it's probably best to just replace.Instructions are also unclear whether 12V repair mode can be used on AGM batteries. An answer to a question on their website says: "AGM batteries are a type of lead-acid battery, and Repair Mode can be used on them. Other compatible lead-acid battery types include wet-cell, gel-cell, AGM+, maintenance free, and EFB batteries. It can also help desulfate calcium-lead and calcium-calcium batteries. Please note that the battery should be disconnected from the vehicle or application before Repair Mode is used on it."Also unclear how many times you can use repair mode on a battery, or where you're at after each repair mode cycle. When do you call it quits? I've attached some charts, but forgot how to label the axes. Bottom axis is time in hours.
Tested this on truck batteries and motorcycle batteries works fine with some minor annoyances. The truck AGM battery I left it running for 45 minutes, at the end of it the charger was so hot I almost burnt my hands when I picked it up. The quick disconnect that various accessories connect to was incredibly hot, I had to wear gloves to touch either one without injury to myself. The clamps were cold to the touch, the wires themselves were warm.No heat problems on smaller batteries like the motorcycle or atv stuff. There is a serious design problem in this unit! When you see conductors heating up they are pulling more amperage than the wires and conductors are designed for (also poor continuity can cause this too).
