Noctua has been on my radar for a while and WOW! Great build quality and the performance is even better. Perfect as a radiator fan for my Cooler Master ML120 AIO. Good static pressure and low noise - max RPM while gaming and I can't even hear it with my NR400 case. It's worth it spending extra for quality and performance. I moved from RGB fans and the black with red rubber corners look sexy. :)

In a final upgrade to my current PC replacing a case fan before said PC moves on to being just a Stream-PC, I wanted to make it quieter, and boy does Noctua deliver.I've had the fan installed about three weeks now and legit I can't hear it over my Wraith Spire at all, so it's impressively near-silent IMO.Also the lil' anti-vibration pads are great. I appreciate the colour selection to suit various builds. Easy install, and the build I'm doing in April is DEFINITELY gonna be using some more of these. Now I just wish I could get them in a set of three.

- Noctua listened to their customers and offered colored rubber pads, so many too pick from. - I purchased three of these fans to be used in my Hard-drive bay so that they can cool my five Hard-drives. - I ran into one issue where one of the cables wasn't long enough to reach a 4 Pin slot so I will be purchasing a 4 Pin extension. In the meantime, I plugged it into a 3 Slot which makes it run at 100% and for my case worked just as good. - Overall, I am super satisfied with the product and would strongly recommend! - The additional price vs any other brand fan is worth it because of the higher quality.
I put this in my PC case as a front intake because my case has sort of a thick mesh and it works great. Super silent, dropped my temps a few degrees C too! You might want to consider the Noctua A12x25, especially if you are planning to put this on an AIO but this is a stellar fan in it's own regard so you'll be happy. Something also to note is that this is a Chromax fan so it will not include the accessories from the non-Chromax fans like Y-splitters, low noise adapters, and an extension cable. The lack of a Y-splitter was almost a huge problem for me because I thought I didn't have another fan header until I found a chassis fan header under the M.2 shield on my motherboard.Pricing on the other hand is a little weird. I know Noctua fans cost a little more than other fans, but I was ready to pay that because they are great in quality. This wasn't the issue. Sadly, I think Microcenter's MSRP data on Noctua fans is a little dated because the price on this fan was about $10 higher than what the fan goes on sold by Noctua on Amazon ($35 in store vs $25 on Amazon). Looking at the other Noctua products on Microcenter's website, I think this is true across the board- not just on this product. Luckily, Microcenter is pretty awesome about price matching so all you really need to do is just double check Amazon and get an associate to price match the fan. Given that this really is just a minor hassle, only dinging a star.
The black fan is much nicer than the tan and brown colour scheme of the original Noctua fans. The coloured corner bumpers are nice, but there a 8 corners (front and back of fan), but only 4 of each colour: your dreams of an all black fan, or a black fan with bumpers won't be realised unless you also buy a bumper pack - which sucks due to the fact this fan is already 5 bucks more than the original. Also, the original NF-F12 comes with a low noise adapter, an extension cable, and a fan splitter: this version only comes with the bumpers, no LNA, no splitter.Still, at least it isn't brown and tan....
Would definitely recommend this colorful choice of Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans. I will be purchasing more when I have the need for future builds. I currently use two of these as replacement fans in my AIO liquid cooler and they're very quite and keep my new Core i7 8700k in the 35c temp range at idle, stock speed - not overclocked yet. But fully expect temps to not increase too much with a minor overclock. These Chromax fans are a little different than the original Noctua NF-F12s: 1) they do not come with speed limiting low noise adapter cables, but with being able to set fan speeds in the BIOS, not really necessary when they are already very quiet; 2) the cable from the Chromax fan that connects to the extension cable is really close to the fan housing (not so with the ... MoreWould definitely recommend this colorful choice of Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans. The choice of colors and same Noctua quality make these fans well worth the small additional cost, in my opinion. Thank you, Noctua, for giving us a color choice!
You get what you pay for. I'm somewhat of a Noctua snob/addict, having owned both the NH-D14/D15, NH-U12S/14S, NH-C14, NH-L9i... that's just CPU heatsink coolers. I am also the proud owner of various F12/A14/A15 fans as well as some "golden oldies" that are still in production: the P12 and P14 fans. Send a PM if you'd like a picture of my Noctua collection, just kidding. In all seriousness, I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on various Noctua products and I don't intend on stopping, ever. On one hand, they are pricey. And until recently, there was very limited selection in terms of colour, with no RGB support, if you care about that sort of thing. But the many reviews are correct, and I can attest to this. And until recently, there was very limited selection in terms of colour, with no RGB support, if you care about that sort of thing. But the many reviews are correct, and I can attest to this. These fans provide excellent cooling capabilities, even at low speeds. At these speeds, which is your typical "normal" operation, the fans are very quiet. I do want to point out, to me (and most "normal" people) the fans are *obviously* loud at high speed. It's a stretch to think that a fan running at max rpm wouldn't be audible, but I digress. These fans are meant to perform well at low speeds, and provide the extra cooling you need in "bursts" at high speed. A final note: one of my fans was dying (made a very noticeable clicking sound at any speed). This fan was over 5 years old, and the RMA process was smooth, painless and *quick*. I live in a major city and received the replacement fan in just over a week: 8 days. I can't say enough about their support and was already completely sold on their products. Thanks again, Noctua, please continue to make great products and take my money!!!
Noctua has long been lauded as the best makers of PC fans, but the ugly tan and brown colors that are their calling card kept me from using their fans for far too long. This line of fans comes in a standard black color that matches most PCs. In addition, they include a spectrum of colorful rubber bumpers that can be installed about the corners to better match color-coordinated builds. Cable extensions are also included in addition to packets of screws. I purchased a pair of these fans to replace some stock NZXT fans that came with a Kraken AIO that I purchased purely for cosmetic reasons. The difference was immediately apparent with a reduction in noise and temperatures. Active temps on my 3600x went from the mid 70s to the low 60s, airflow is noticeably better ... MoreNoctua has long been lauded as the best makers of PC fans, but the ugly tan and brown colors that are their calling card kept me from using their fans for far too long. There's a reason why I only buy Noctua fans. In all my years (and dozens of Noctua Fans) I've only had one fail and it was immediately replaced. This fan is no different - from the moment you set eyes on the packaging it oozes nothing but quality. I'm still using the original 3-pin version of these Noctua fans in a PC that's 15 years old and they're just as quiet as day 1.
