- It probably isn't worth the price at all. It is just a stamped piece of metal that was sprayed black, with two molded plastic inserts to keep it stuck to the heatsink. But it does improve the aesthetics of the large NH-D15 quite a bit.

Given that aesthetics took precedence over savings for my most recent build, this is an excellent product for people looking to add a little flair to the NH-D15 cooler. 10/10 would buy again for a Black/White themed build.

Great heatsink cover!!!!
I would of designed a molded black plastic cover with a cutout with the word Noctua that had color coordinating LEDs and it would not slide down and cover the sides of both cooling towers (that may cause some loss of heat dissipation) (have not tested heat dissipation yet) and would of covered the center fan as well. What do I want Cromax on my Noctua cooler for.
Does the job.
Overall, these are a nice, superfluous addition to my build. I was spending my money foolishly this time around and I figured I'd throw these in for the helluvit. I'll never lug my PC around for other eyes to witness but I imagine other PC-heads would look at these and say, "Huh, pretty cool, man." To which I'd reply, "Oh, yeah. Thanks."
It's kinda expensive for something purely cosmetic, but if you're OK with that, then you'll be very happy with it
So I ran some tests. These cover the fins on the top and bottom of your D15/D15s. With the fan in the middle it created a kind of wind tunnel which was a good thing. They look good, and they help to direct cooling straight through the D15.
