Most of my issues with this cooler are not really the cooler's fault. I didn't take the time to measure things out in my case, and it made things kind of tough. The photo of the cooler as presented ends up being a really large cooler. In my case, it made it so it was only an inch or so from the side panel. I didn't think this would cool very well, but you can also mount the fan under the heat sink instead. So, installing was not really hard or anything, but you have some decisions to make. You can orient the heat pipes in any direction you want, and that decision will determine how you can insert the fan if you want to put the fan on the bottom. Once I had everything installed and in my case, it is now really hard to get the fan out so I could fix the cable since I have to work it through sideways past the RAM. But, even though I've built several computers over the years, this was probably a more advanced cooler than I'm used to. I didn't take the time to think through the options. I would probably have been better off with a more traditional sideways fan arrangement.

Great CPU Cooler that comes with 15% of AIO capabilities. The 140mm fan doesn't fit in an NCase M1 with the PSU in the SFX position, but fits perfectly with a Noctua NF-A12x25 fan using the Noctua NH-SFC12 fan clips (you can request them from Support). Tight fit as you can see from the photo, but does work perfectly!! Keeps my 10900K cool at 1.35v and 5.0GHz all-core at 75C max! Except CInebench R20 or other heavy AVX workloads over 5+ minutes at 100% CPU... then you'll Thermal Throttle. To be fair, so did my Kraken X53. If you want an air CPU Cooler in an SFF case, go for this one! You won't be disappointed :)

Great CPU cooler, almost everything original included except for fan splitter. From what I can find online, the cooler does come with a splitter since this cooler supports two fans and includes fan brackets for 2 fans. Wouldve liked the splitter to be included.

-I had an h80i installed previously with an ML120 Pro fan in push only configuration. The idle temps were around 40c and the load temps were around 60c. This is only a point of reference, I also previously had 2x ML120 Pros in push/pull on the h80i which kept the idle around 30c and load never beyond low 50c. The h80i offered cooler temperatures in push/pull, but was much louder. The Noctua can also be configured in push pull, which I haven't done but may very well get me close to the h80i push/pull temps I had originally. -I have good silicon
The main advantages of Noctua NH-C14S are its high workmanship, ease of installation and high cooling efficiency with low noise. Of course, these advantages of the presented model from Noctua make us take a closer look at buying this model. Another important advantage of this cooling system is its small size, and, of course, the variability of the installation of the fan. As for the price, it is certainly high for an air cooling system. But Noctua solutions have always been worth the money, primarily because of the high quality of their products, and here Noctua NH-C14S is no exception.
I am using this to cool an overclocked i7-5820K CPU, at 4.5 GHZ and 1.28 Volts. It is stable running Intel Stress Test, (mid 70s C) and AIDA 64 Stress Test, (mid 70s C, with Graphics test). Prime95 26.6 Small FFT did not do as well, running mid 90s C, and thermal throttling, but I am not sure there are a great many real applications that mirror that level of CPU demand and heat. At this overclock, AIDA 64 reflects a power draw of 205 Watts for the CPU. In short, you have another great option to cool the Haswell E CPU without going to water cooling. I did run some tests at 4.6 GHZ, and while it was getting warm, I found the CPU needed in excess of 1.31 Volts, and I did not wish to use that much voltage beyond 1.3 Volts to avoid electromigration. As always with Noctua fans you get great cooling and super quiet. My Asus Rampage needed the fan sensor setting to ignore as when the pc booted it wasn't spinning at even the lowest 200rpm setting the bios monitor offered. Once up and running idling it sits about 600rpm (pwm). When gaming the fan is quiet (the fan in the gpu makes more noise so you cant actually hear this fan). My idle temp has dropped from 42-44 to 33-35 - impressive (previous fan was 120mm not 140mm). I had to go for this particular heatsink due to vengeance RAM so tall. Cooling a Xeon 3.5ghz 6 core chip that has a 130w tdp. I know the Noctua fan's are more expensive than others but to be honest all my pc's have them in now as I just love the low noise.
So my rig is sitting in a custom 4u server case with 3 140mm fans at the front with a high flow 120mm as exhaust. Pc is in a server rack at current time of testing was at 25 deg ambient temperature.Ryzen 3700x OC on all 8 cores @4.2GhzWith the stock Wraith cooler with 3 minutes of cinebench i was hitting 84/85 deg. With the noctua i was hitting 76 deg. the wraith would of been screaming as where can barley hear it (noise not an issue to me its in the garage)Idle temps stock 45 deg, Noctua 33 deg (this is with both fans set to max) Hope this helps with someone with a similar setup to me
Using this to cool a non-overclocked 12600k in an NR200 (with the mesh side panel). Confident this is the single best option for air cooling in the NR200 -- Even without adding a shroud to it, it seems to pull at least half of its air from outside the case through the side mesh. Overkill cooling for a 12600k at stock clocks. Can basically do anything short of video render or CPU benchmarking without producing perceptible noise.
Newer version to clear all slots and memory modules, it should fit inside a mid or mini sized ATX case and of course larger cases.. The Noctua website has a list of the many motherboards that are compatible. The included single upper fan setup is very efficient. Can be fitted with two fans (push-pull configuration). Not top of the line cooling for high end overclocking but pretty close and will handle any factory typical turbo core overclocking (see Noctua website for wattage/cooling ratings). Extremely quite with excellent cooling even at its normal low RPMs. Might be more of a hum than a whirr sound.if you ever reach high RPMs. Fan sits horizontal (flat) to the motherboard (heat sink does not stand upright).
