Good non-stock cooling option, plenty of clearance for memory slots and instructions for installation supplied are very clear. Slightly awkward to mount but just need to gradually screw in each side or else the springs will cause the screw to pop out.

Just installed the cooler yesterday and it is way quieter than the one that came with my AMD Ryzen 2700x cpu. Also it does a much better job on the temperature levels too so I’m very happy with my purchase and with everything that’s going on in the works CCL got it sent in good time.

I bought an AMD Ryzen 3700X for my new PC, when all assembled te noise from the stock cooler was insane, it was not something I could live with. I did some research and it suggested this Noctua cooler was the best combination of price and performance, CCL had it at a great price and for a few quid more I could get delivery next day (Saturday). It is incredibly quiet, I don't know it on most of the time, I only ever hear it under considerable load, and then only just. Noctua do a bigger fan/cooler, but it wouldn't have fitted in my case, I'm glad, I didn't need it, this is perfect. I did add the extra fan, but I didn't need to, it knocked a couple of degrees off peak temps at best.

Installation was a cinch, and the mounting process is much less terrifying to tighten on than the stock cooler, since a screw is used to apply pressure instead of a lever. Side mounted fan really helps to send the hot air out of the case. I recommend double checking the height and location of the RAM modules when deciding the orientation of the cooler.
It's exactly what you'd expect for a noctua. It's expensive, but a better engineered product than most coolers. I know I'm only comparing it to the stock cooler, but that's all I've used for comparison on this build. Highly Recommended.
Overall, I'm happy. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a good air cooler and doesn't want something that's super big and heavy.
Classic Noctua, goes above and beyond with virtually no audible sounds.
- I would imagine the 140mm version of this cooler to be beyond excessive for any Ryzen CPU. Especially since as far as I'm aware, none of them support overclocking beyond 4.1 GHz right now anyways. Maybe future bios updates might change that a little, but I doubt it.
This is a solid heatsink. keeps things cool under load, but doesn't do much to mitigate the 3800s high idle temp.
Does the job. No complaints 30+ days in and I’ve been stressing the system with rendering.
