Purchased a spool of 20# test about a year ago. Was great at first. Took my reel to be respooled about 3 months ago and had still been good, until today. Every time I cast, my line snapped. All I had on it was 1# weight and it snapped 3 times in a row. Rod has been stored indoors so not sure how, but it is like it dry rotted. I will not be using this line anymore and do not recommend.

Bright color lines like this are usually meant to have a top shot of mono so if the pink is too bright for you this isn’t the right stuff. The colors on this line are measured lengths for those trolling without line counter. It’s handy to have that to check against your “pulls” for accuracy. The bright colors can be good for night too helping to keep eyes on where the line enters the water when gaffing and swiveling, but usually you’d use even brighter stuff for that.The comments and photos about the frays in lines out of the package concern me but I haven’t had this experience with this line myself. Ran my fingers through all of each spool and didn’t run into any frays. Noticed there was a rough spot on the outside edge of the plastic on one spool though. That could cause frays if rubbed against. I’ve gotten a solid amount of both salmon and halibut on this line and haven’t had an issue yet. My setups have consistently outperformed the others on the same boats but different rod and reel too obviously.
