Floss works really well! Low scent is great, moves between my teeth easily. Comes in cardboard box with a small plastic spool. It doesn't wind well so gets bunched up a lot in the box. I just take it out, cut out the cardboard with the little metal cutter and put it into a jar instead. Which I don't mind doing if it means avoiding plastic packaging like conventional floss. However, I am disappointed that it is not 100% coconut fiber, but instead polyester as well. That is not clear on the box, nor was it clear on Noosa Basics website until recently. All in all, I would not buy it again because it is still plastic and an expensive floss. I would only pay that much if it was 100% natural. I will be looking for an alternative compostable floss that won't kill wildlife.

This is my favourite floss that I've ever tried. I love the classic mint flavour and how thick it is because I really feel like it's cleaning properly between my teeth. The only thing that needs improvement is that often (especially when getting to the end of the floss) the floss gets stuck in the box and doesn't want to roll and come out. When this happens sometimes the floss splits into 2 strings (rather than being intertwined) and you have to open the entire box to fix the split. But to me it's not that big of an issue because I love this floss more than others.

Love love love love this! The only option on the Australian market without plastic packaging and made from plant fiber. The floss is very strong, durable, perfect width to get between my teeth, smells great and can be composted! The team at Noosa Basics are absolutely wonderful, I fully trust their decisions and ethics. I have previously emailed back and forth about the previous plastic packaging for their floss at the time, my concerns were met with honesty, transparency of their practices and genuine interest. They were very open to long discussions on what the options are to continually improve their products as more environmentally friendly options become available. They are clearly striving for a genuine, good quality, ethical, sustainable brand. It's a ... MoreLove love love love this! I am distressed by the discarded strands of dental floss that gather in the bathroom bin and in the search for an eco product came across this. It is excellent, it slides smoothly between teeth and does not snag on rough area, nor does it fray. I would love to buy this in a small tin with a cutter , like the lush tins for shampoo, and then to be able to buy refills. There’s a German company that does a small glass vial for theirs, something that will stand up to the bathroom environment that is not plastic. Otherwise looking forward to the price dropping as this product takes off!
This floss is like a cotton thread so I was a bit skeptical when I first used it. It works just as well as the colgate waxed floss I was using and in some ways it is better. Flossing with black string made me realise that there actually was some sort of sticky gunk between ALL of my teeth that you can't see on white floss. You have to re-do some teeth more than once until the black floss comes out clean. I would have never figured this out with white floss. Took one star off as it is supposed to be oiled but the oil is hard and scrapes off the floss as you pull it out. Doesn't affect the use though and I will keep buying this one.
I thought I'd found a natural floss that was effective and compostable.. until I read the back of the box to discover it's strengthened with polyester.. so plastic. Which was disappointing as it wasn't mentioned in the description and the back of the box wasn't photographed. So if you're not after an environmentally friendly/natural product without plastic I'd recommend, however my hunt for a good compostable floss continues.
Very strong floss, never breaks. However, it might be too strong if you have sensitive gums and you are not careful. Has no give in it. Slides between my tight teeth really well, and cleans thoroughly. The only thing I am not sure about is the polyester in the floss. That is plastic, so doesn't that contribute to the microplastics problem? I would like to see it made without the polyester.
