Nordic Naturals Children's DHA Xtra Ages 1-6 Berry 880 MG 2 fl oz (60 ml)

Huge fan of Nordic Naturals right here. My kids used this product for a few years before we move on to Omega 3 lemon flavor, also from NN. Nothing against this product, except we found one from the same brand (lemon flavor) with a less strong flavor to it. We use to add this to our kids apple sauce/yogurt and were able to hide the strong flavor from it. This is convenient because of the dropper, but it is pricey compared to the big bottles from Nordic Naturals that will benefit you the same way. I tend to pay the ones with more mg, because I can give less quantity to my kids based on their age/weight. Be sure you read the instructions.

Liquid omega, with a fruity flavor and a fishy aftertaste. I was very worried that the child would refuse to drink, He reminds me every morning, drinks with pleasure. This omega is the best in composition, in the amount of essential acids. my son 4 years became calmer and more focus. i will order more for my child's improvement & development.

Excellent!

1 bottle is good for 2 months and my son just finished 2 bottles. He has ASD and I can say that his speech, focus and behavior has significant improvement. The quality is excellent, though the ingredient has so fishy smell that affects the taste, the overall benefit will outweigh that. It was packaged well and the size of the bottles is just handy. I am planning to use the same brand with higher dosage of Omega 3, EPA and DHA 😊

Fishy flavor, my 20 month old refused it

I was hopeful given great reviews. My son happily let me administer the first dropper, but then seemed surprised by what I gave him, sounded like he semi-choked/coughed once it was all in his mouth, and then refused any subsequent doses. I tasted it and there was no "great taste" as written on the bottle. This tastes awful. Super fishy. No apparent berry flavor. Can't blame my son for refusing. I'd never be able to stomach this. Disappointed. Expensive bottle to waste the rest, but it's really gross.

Fishy taste

We bought the strawberry flavor but it unfortunately tastes like fish with strawberries. My kids do not like taking this product. I have to mix it into flavored applesauce and even then my 7 year old does not want to take it. I haven't noticed a difference for them either but I'm still having my kids take it because it was recommended by their pediatrician. Going to try a different form for them soon, hoping the gummies work out better even though the Omega-3 concentration is smaller

I recently learned, in a brain health coach certification program, that EPA and DHA have quite different functions in the brain! Most fish oil supplements contain 2-3 times more EPA than DHA, which is not ideal if you have an over-active mind. EPA is great for stimulating an under-active brain, and can be very helpful for the types of ADD that respond well to stimulants. However, those of us with PTSD, bipolar disorder or otherwise over-stimulated brains need much more DHA, which is calming and can slow down the over-firing of neurons. This blend contains 960 mg DHA and 410 mg EPA, so it's more calming--better to take before bed, and better for folks who have racing minds, too many thoughts at once, and insomnia.

They don’t mind the taste. I’ve read comments that some dislike the flavor or fishy aftertaste. In that case, you may want to consider trying Nordic Omega-3 Fishies instead which is a natural fruit flavored gummy.

Good inositol. Helps to normalize the level of insulin in the blood. During the reception and observance of proper nutrition, weight began to decrease. Capsules are easy to swallow. Tasteless. The only negative in the price. The capsules in the jar are not enough for me. I need to take 4 a day. Click like, please.
