Nordic Ware Naturals 2 Piece Angel Food Cake Pan 24x11cm

I bought this to make my mom’s birthday Angel food cake every Christmas. It worked perfectly and she loved it. I have since made multiple angel food cakes by request for strawberry shortcake or other birthdays. They turn out tall and fluffy and remove from the pan perfectly.

I was expecting a nicer, heavier pan, one especially coming with the name Nordic Ware! The Nordic Ware pan I received is very light weight and not at all the quality I wanted. Thinking Nordic Ware is a USA company, I expected the pan to have been made in this country, but instead it was marked made in China. I have found most China-made products much inferior to USA ones, and this pan is a very inferior product.

Didn’t Disappoint

Baked a pound cake yesterday that required a 16C 2 piece tube pan. First time using a tube yet alone a 2 pc version. Had no clue how this would work. While baking searched websites on how to get the cake out the pan and everything I found was for angel food cake. The pronged feet stumped me because I didn’t want to invert and have the cake hit the plate and split in half or worse—have only half of it come out. Finally popped the cake out using a very awkward method, but it worked and the cake looked brilliant!! Made my glaze, drizzle poured it and the cake was simply spectacular. Fruitcake Success!

I purchased the last one on Saturday and baked the fruitcake for Christmas that night. I was worried because I had never made a fruitcake before in a two-piece tube pan. I kept checking for signs of leakage in the oven. No leakage and no worries! The cake looks fantastic and I had no problems removing it from the pan. As long as you grease the pan, line it with parchment or wax paper and then grease the paper, you're fine (of course, you wouldn't grease the pan for your angel food cake recipe). This was a great buy!

Great Value

As a home baker, this Nordic Ware 2-Piece Angel Food Pan has been a great purchase. It saves time on bulk orders, as it holds a lot more batter than my bundt cake pans. The springform design allows the cake to cool much faster.

Its the Old Fashioned kind

If you're looking for the old fashioned one your mama used, look no further! This AFP is just like Ma's with little legs. My Ma had three little wooden blocks she used to turn hers upside down on. This is the same metal though and it allows that angel cake to climb beautifully!

Perfect Chiffon Pan

This is the perfect pan for making a chiffon-style cake where you actually want the cake to stick slightly to the pan. That way it retains its height as it hangs upside down to cool. The fact that this pan has feet eliminates the need to balance your overturned cake on a bottle or funnel. It tried making a chiffon cake in a dark non-stick pan and Ive always been disappointed. Nothing beats a good aluminum pan for a chiffon cake. This Nordic Ware pan has never failed me.

love this cake angelfood pan. you can use it also for a pound cake. very durable easy to clean and seems sturdy. love tbe size and the fact that it separates easy from.the pan.

ahahahaa, the crumb on the side of cake, Horrible

I was interested in the footed angelfood pan w removable bottom. I thought I would crack up laughing at the horrific cake they show as advertising. No one would ever buy this pan if the splotchy crumb is what it renders! Me thinks it's something else.
