It is hard to judge something from a photo, so it did look a little bit different to my eyes in situ. In fact the hummingbirds on the smaller plates are more colourful than on the bowls and big plates. However there was extra attractive moulding round the plate edges that doesn't show up in the pictures. Anyway I'm enjoying this set brightening my days..

This items was delivered on time and unbroken, however, the set was not as fine and delicate as I imagined. the gold rim is not gold put yellow paint. It is much heavier and bulkier than I thought and it is not white but cream. Not the fine crockery I remembered Noritake to be.

Misrepresented. Not norotake from Japan but Epoch from Indonesia .Second rate noritake. Wish I had retuirned it. No one likes it in the family. Be wary of mislabelling.

I love this dinner set, mine just arrived today and it's absolutely stunning! Bowls are a bit smaller than I expected but that's no problem. 100% satisfied with my purchase this set will look beautiful at Christmas lunch or any other special occasion lunch/dinner.
This is a lovely dinner set, and pleased with the quality. It's made in Indonesia and good quality. Washes well in dishwasher and microwaves as well. The pattern and hummingbird theme is very nice. Not too bright, more muted in colour.
I always wanted a Noritake dinner set but they were out of my budget range. Then I saw the modern Hummingbird collection and couldnt resist it. So I bought two sets giving me an 8 person setting. Commented on at dinner parties, it holds pride of place in my cabinet. A very good investment......( Ive still got my eye on my mother-in-laws antique collection.
For ages I have put up with mis-matched and frankly, UGLY tableware. I recently decided enough is enough and I wanted something that blended my home decor and that I really liked to go on my table. The Noritake Hummingbird design dinner set fits the bill perfectly. It looks great and is very, very well manufactured. There is nothing flimsy about the tableware but it is not clunky or ugly in any way. I am now waiting for the matching cups to become available again to complete my table settings. Love my tableware!
Really disappointed. This dinner set is thick and chunky, nothing like Noritake. The design is dull and crudely painted on. I dislike it too much to use it.
I bought 2 sets to make an eight piece setting. I have another Noritake dinner set made in Japan and the quality is excellent so I was motivated to purchase another. The Hummingbird sets are made in Indonesia under license to Noritake rather than in Japan and this is indicated on the hall marking. The quality is good, transfers and rim painting all align on the scalloped edge. The porcelain quality is robust but not too heavy. I have wanted a tropical looking set with a bird motif for quite some time and I'm very happy with this purchase especially as I got the sets on sale which was excellent value for money.
Exceeded our expectations. Absolutely beautiful artwork.quality and style. We would recommend this quality item to all our friends and family.it. Will be out showpiece this Christmas score rating is 10 out of 10superb
