Acetyl-L-carnitine levels decline with aging. Studies on PubMed have shown that supplementing may have a number of benefits including clearer thinking, less fatigue, better stamina, restore mitochondria to youthful levels etc. Therefore I decided to give it a go with just 500mg/day. The first thing I noticed that my heartbeat during exercise was lower. After I stopped with exercise my heartbeat dropped also much faster to normal level. I did not experience an improved performance yet. Restoring mitochondria will take time combined with the need for exercise and a lot of co-factors. Another thing I experienced is that it is bit more difficult to get to sleep. My thoughts are racing over my mind. So far so good I will continue with Acetyl-L-carnitine for the next ... I've been taking acetyl L-carnitine for many years. Previously, I take this supplement for slimming purpose as L carnitine is known to help burn fats in the body.But in 2015, I contracted a chronic neurological automimmune illness so basically most of my nerves in my body are impaired.My memory and congnitive function are impaired. I have bad dailty nerve pain too.Therefore, I began taking more dosage of this supplement. My cognitive function is not healed but has improved quite a bit. I also have lost a bit of weight. So yes, I will continue to take this Acetyl L-carnitine. Hope this helps :)

This ALC is pretty good. The composition and ingredients quality is good and I feel more energetic and calmer. That said, the pills size is big and it's a bit pricey. I take it in the morning on an empty stomach with some water. Even though the pills are big I find these capsules easy to swallow. They don't leave an after taste or cause acid reflux.The bottle is big and has a flip cap that is easy to open yet secure.The package delivery was fast as usual.In summary, I would buy this again.

It gives you some energy. It has a way of boosting mood as well. A decent average supplement I'd say. I have used like 100 herbal supplements, this one isn't the best-performing one among them and also price is higher than the value. So I find it a bit pricey as well for the value you get. But it's decent average supplement without any side effects. And it is said that l-carnitine helps neurological symptoms as well. To sum up, this gives you some energy, boosts mood and pricey for the value you get in return.

My elderly Mom took these A-L-C capsules - first alongside RALA,then stopped taking RALA & continued with A-L-C, for a few months.As these were supposed to help improve her Cognitive health.Indeed, PubMed has many researches on A-L-C.Sadly - both RALA & A-L-C proved to cause her HORRIBLE HEARTBURN {"like I've drunk Acid" is how she d3scribed it)-(Heartburn started as soon as she started taking them) -that went away as soon as she stopped.So be wary: If you suffer from GERD / Acid Reflux - you'd better stay clear of this product.
