I only recently started taking vitamin B-1 which has definitely improved my cognative abilities. But the brand I was using had a horrible taste. I tried adding those pills to my morning breakfast but couldn't hide the taste. Those B-1 pills would only have to just touch my tongue to expose me to that horrible taste.I'm sure there can't be much difference between one major brand of B-1 vs another. All they have to do is just pay attention to the taste.I recommend this brand of B-1

Thiamine hydrochloride has a very poor absorbtion rate at 5 %. Nevertheless, scientific research says clearly that Thiamine hydrochloride is effective as long as you take a large enough dose. Normaly I buy only natural supplements, and being that this product has poor bioavailibility I think it should come in a larger dose per tablet. I take from 500 mg to 800 mg of this product and I must be honest and say that it does have a positive effect on me.

Vitamin B1, or thiamine, is an essential B vitamin that supports the conversion of food into energy and aids in the metabolism of fats and proteins. This B-complex vitamin has garnered positive feedback from users, and I have personally experienced its benefits over the past month. One of the aspects I was hoping to improve was my mood and memory, and I have been pleasantly surprised by the positive effects I've noticed since incorporating this product into my routine. It seems to be working in a way that aligns with my expectations, contributing to an overall positive experience. While it's difficult to determine the precise impact of this specific supplement, I can confidently say that I feel better overall since incorporating it into my routine. I take 1/4 to 1/2 a pill when I have a lot of carb food, if I remember. I don't notice any ill effects. I also take a B-12 and a little bit of unfortified nutritional yeast because taking certain B's can deplete other Bs. I ate a lot of sweets (still do sometimes) and those can deplete B's, so this is good insurance. I also thought B1 keeps mosquitos away? Maybe I'm not taking enough but they still like to bite me over my hubby.
High quality and potent. I used to have trouble breathing at night when I laid down for bed. Now I take vitamin B1 daily and put 10 drops of thyme extract in my nightly herbal sleep tea before bed, and 15 minutes before my bed-time snack(only eat a light snack before bed), no more breathing problems. "now" is my favorite brand for supplements.
I have hypothyroid/ Hashimotos. I struggle with being tired through out the day. My free t3 (active hormone) is always low. After reading and finding out that I should be taking 600mg- 1500mg per day because people with hashimotos are more likely to have issues with low B1, that was a game changer for me. I boosted my b1 to 3 pills a day (300mg), so far along with B complex. I have been able to cut back on taking naps. Its been amazing. I also recently started taking the "now" brand thyroid energy, that seems to help as well. (that one does have zinc in it, as makes my stomach hurt a little if i take it on an empty stomach- zinc always makes my stomach hurt). I actually just ordered 2 more bottles of this b1. This brand seems to work well.
