Along with eating them raw with raisins or chopped and sprinkled on top of yogurt etc., I've started to grind these into "flour", using my ninja personal blender. Some gluten free recipes call for almond meal or almond flour, but I am not comfortable with buying them grounded up, since almonds contain oil that will go rancid once they are grounded. I also plan on using to make home made almond butter, using food processor. So great value since it's so versatile!

Excellent quality almonds that taste fresh and crunchy after baking. Almonds are large in size. I use them to grind almond butter which is healthy and more economical than buying ready made almond butter. The almonds also taste great on its own after baking. Almonds are a versatile ingredient for many recipes such as salads, baked goods and almond milk

I really love these raw, unsalted almonds! The fact that they’re unsalted means I can add my own flavors, which is a big plus. I typically spray a bit of avocado oil and roast them in my air fryer, creating a delicious, personalized snack. They feel so much healthier than the processed, salted versions. These almonds taste good and since raw-not too addictive. I meant to get the salted ones but accidentally ordered these. Without the salt these are more healthy and people need about 7 of these a day to stay healthy. I think it’s the magnesium that the body needs. “Now”brand is my go-to quality brand to buy, and it’s cheaper than other brands. Always seems fresh, and nuts are top notch. The ingredient/s is only almonds.
I was listening to a video on healthy eating, and the clinician was suggesting eating 'raw' nuts to discover their true flavour. I thought, 'I'm not giving up my salt -- nuts and salt go together'. I'm now totally converted and switching to raw nuts. This means cleaning out my cupboards and refilling them with raw nuts. These almonds are delicious! I’ve been ordering these exact brazil nuts from iherb for over 10 years. I also buy many other types which have all been great (almonds, pecans, walnut, etc). I almost exclusively only buy NOW vitamins and have a lot of trust in the company. However, my most recent 2 orders of Brazil Nuts over the past 6 months were not good. About 1/4 of the brazil nuts have an extremely strong bad or toxic taste. I don’t know what rancid tastes like. So I can’t accurately describe it. Could be rancid, could be contaminated, could be rotten. I just know they tasted really bad and had to spit them out. I pray that it wasn’t aflatoxin. I will wait a year until the next year’s harvest.
I'm very pleased to say this is a quality ingredient which gave my homemade milk a very good taste. I use 150 gr of almonds soaked overnight then in the morning I clean them under the water tap and drain. Then I put together in blender the soaked almonds, 1 kg cold filtered water and a pinch of salt and blend them for 3 minutes. I use a milk bag to drain the milk. Sometimes I add few dates in blender.
Nuts are one of my absolute favorite snacks. They're generally healthy, tasty & filling. And they're best raw right out of the bag. Prove me wrong!These almonds in particular are nice and fresh. They're clean and don't have any of that dust/powder on the nuts or at the bottom of the bag like some do. To me, that's an indication of quality.This doesn't bother me personally, but the nuts are not uniform in size. They aren't all jumbo or 'gourmet'. Some of them are jumbo, but others are quite small.In the end, these are an excellent option for snacking, baking or any other purpose of the sort.
We absolutely inhaled these! They have great flavor and one bag is enough for so many recipes and happy snacks. The fact that they are unsalted, organic and have no added oils means they are perfect to make almond milk with.... which is what I've been doing.Almond milk: Soak 1/4 - 1/2 cup overnight, drain, then add a 5:1 water to almond ratio and blend for a few minutes. Strain and you will have the CREAMIEST almond milk of your life. I literally cannot go back to store bought almond milk, the flavor is so good. If you're feeling extra energetic you can also dry out the almond meal that's left over and use it to top oatmeal.
