Best bang for your buck!

Love this and i grab whenever on sale! I alternate between this and Nature's way MCT whichever is cheaper to buy. They are basically odourless and in liquid form so it is really convenient to use. I use around 10ml for my bulletproof coffee in the morning to stretch lunch later before breaking my intermittent fast. I do believe small amounts of fats (cream, MCT, butter) in coffee is ok when fasting, it has no effect on my blood sugar. I also use it to make fat bombs or quick bread, basically whenever i see melted butter or coconut oil, i will sub this in sometimes. The price cannot be beaten for 32oz, i compared Amazon and my other healthfood stores, no way is it as affordable as this. I stock up 2 each time when its on sale! Just got mine today. I like the taste of vanilla hazelnut. only one ingredient and that's god. Very low price for same quality with other brands. I like the new packaging, it is in plastic bottle now.MCT oil can contribute to increased focus and mental clarity. It may also translate into feeling mentally sharper. It has been shown to improve cognitive function in hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) conditions. MCT oil also has neuroprotective potential. It can also help to lose weight by producing ketones in your body..keep you burn and use ur fat cells. Also it keeps me full longer. Im on intermittent fasting, OMAD when i take this,1 tsp and gave me mild upset stomach, but it went away quickly after I break my fast.

The best MCT oil is actually one that has a balance of 70/30% ratio of C8 (caprylic acid) and C10 (capric acid), but not lauric acid (C12) which takes longer to metabolize. It is also important that it is made from 100% coconuts, not palm oil or a blend of coconut oil and palm oil. Before knowing this, I was giving the Now MCT oil to my grandmother with advanced Alzheimer's for years in addition to virgin coconut oil. We saw significant increase in her cognitive functions, better mood, and responsiveness. Had we known of the benefits, we would have started giving her as soon as she got diagnosed. It would have helped her with her depression and slowed down this awful degenerative disease.I can't say this product is bad but there are more pure versions out there ... MoreThe best MCT oil is actually one that has a balance of 70/30% ratio of C8 (caprylic acid) and C10 (capric acid), but not lauric acid (C12) which takes longer to metabolize. It is also important that it is made from 100% coconuts, not palm oil or a blend of coconut oil and palm oil. Before knowing this, I was giving the Now MCT oil to my grandmother with advanced Alzheimer's for years in addition to virgin coconut oil. Oil itself is very good! The container is…

The oil is very good! The very subtle taste is suitable for any dishes or drinks. I always take this mct oil with smoothie. I feel my energy lasts until night. However, I don’t like the bottle. I have to swipe my bottle every time. Overall, this mct oil is good quality and reasonable price, so I recommend it.

Results for me in the mirror and on the scale!
7 March 2022

Introduced to me a number of years ago as a 'fat-burner', I have used it regularly since to augment my low-carb diet. It is a bland, tasteless oil, so I just swig it out of the bottle and force it down with a glass of water. When I first used it I did endure some intestinal distress, but my system eventually adapted to it. Combined with the diet and a diligent work-out regimen, the results show in the mirror just as much as the scale, it just depends to what degree one applies oneself. This was especially beneficial during the pandemic when gyms closed and many of us had to find ways to improvise! Until recently it was sold in a glass bottle, but now in plastic. Since discovering iHerb as a source it's become more economically-friendly!

Tastes awful and makes me want to puke
16 March 2021

I've been using this MCT oil as a carrier oil for skin care for many years. I also mix it with refined coconut oil to make it lighter and then do oil-pulling. Didn't really notice much odor, probably a little but I wasn't consuming so it was okay. But when I started to really taste it and add it to food, my gosh, it tastes awfully horrible. My wife felt the same. We felt like vomiting, seriously. Some people say it tastes like rubber, melted plastic or whatever chemicals, but I felt that it tastes like crayon, and it makes your food very pungent. Which shows that it has high free fatty acid level. Acid gives off pungent smell and flavor. If you drink it raw, it will scorch your throat and make it feel very scratchy and sand-papery. I suspect Now Foods uses hexane or other chemicals though on its label it says hexane-free. I tried contacting them but their online feedback form or contact form always leads me to a forbidden page. I hope they can improve on that.Overall, NOW foods MCT oil is a low quality MCT oil. No wonder it is so much cheaper than some quality brands. You get what you pay for.
