For sleep: I haven't asked Now Foods what the specific amino acid profile of this is, but it should be similar to other gelatin on the market. Of particular interest for sleep is the amino acid Glycine which gelatin is rich in. Other brands are generally 20% Glycine, so 10g (1 serve) of gelatin would equal 2g of glycine. Studies show that 3g of Glycine before bed produced enhanced sleep in participants, some people take 4 or 5g before bed. So adjust amounts accordingly and give it a try. As for HOW to take it, I saw another user say it thickens too quickly, easiest way for me is to scoop out as much as you need on a tablespoon (10g) and put it in your mouth and follow straight away with liquid of your choice, 1 or 2 gulps and its gone, no dramas. Taste is very very very mild, bordering on no taste. I find this "spoon in the mouth followed by liquid to wash it down" method good for many products that are "hard to mix/harsh tasting", eg, camu camu powder and beef liver powder.

I bought it for my sister to improve the functioning of her joints and she has noticed incredible improvement. She feel less aches and pains and her joints feel more flexible. Her skin has become more toned and supple, stronger and more hair growth, and less shedding. She normally adds a spoonful to a blender in the morning with hot coffee and fats and blend into a frothy enjoyable fatty coffee. In the afternoons she adds a spoonful again to her green smoothie and drinks. The changes are pleasant to watch and this particular brand of gelatin is pure with additives and the most affordable to buy so i highly recommend. Please click the like button on this review. I love gelatin, as it is not only tasty, but also very healthy, especially for those who do not often eat rich soups. I liked this gelatin because it is made from grass-fed animals, which makes it even more useful than regular gelatin. There is no smell, it keeps its shape perfectly. The taste of jelly is perfect, it dissolves very well. Suitable for adding to drinks, and for broths, and for jelly. Just 2 tablespoons of gelatin per liter makes quite a dense jelly, but three spoons generally work wonders. I definitely recommend it. All good health!

The product is exactly what it claims to be. It as a thickening agent and it really does good job in candies and jelly desserts. However, the moment after I had it with some orange juice I immediately felt nauseous and sick..I'm not new to collagen and gelatin powders, I've been a gelatin consumer for decades but this is the first time I try this specific one. It is on the cheaper side compared to other gelatin powders on the market this one is less than half of the price at least, and they don't claim to be grass fed or anything organic. It does exactly what it says, however I feel a little uneasy to consume it or let my kids do. For the price it's what you get I guess.
I want a nice big bowl of cool jello after a long hot day but without the trash ingredients of boxed sugar free mixes. Long story short and much looking into things later, this is easily the cheapest way to get that nightly fix….and healthy to boot! Mixes up nice and you just have your gelatin without the need for dyes or maltodextrin and all the other yuk. Just good old gelatin for your hair, skin, joints….and yum!
Excellent product. No taste, and mixes well in coffee. It's basically identical to collagen peptides, but cheaper and less processed. As long as you take this in hot water, it won't gel and will be easy to drink. One peer reviewed study indicated significant bone health improvements from taking supplemental gelatin / collagen peptides. I recommended it to my mother, who has osteoporosis and has started taking it.
I work out a lot and came across an interview where someone recommended adding beef gelatin to your diet because it's protein-rich. The directions say to mix it with a drink or use as a thicknener but I add a tablespoon into natural yogurt or oatmeal (at the end though and not during cooking because otherwise it makes the porridge very thick and lumpy). It has absolutely no taste and therefore works great for me. One tablespoon provides 9 grams of protein. I will be buying it again.
