I would have loved to been able to afford the Reloop Elite, or Rane 72, but my entire budget was around $1,500 so I had look much lower. $500 for a battle style mixer's a crazy deal. The others are mostly in the $1,500'ish range. With 1 or 2 others being $100-200 more than this. I'll start with the cons:the channel level less are red except for the top one being white. I'm use to seeing red and thinking = clipping. This is a nit picky con and I'm already mostly use to it.The performance pads are only red, nitpicky seeing how this is $500. And they're a little small and soft when pressed, but again this is a $500 unit.pros:Innofader cross fader, this feels 100x better than the one on my Pioneer DDJ-FLX6. This is buttery smooth. At half volume, my headphones are just about blowing my eardrums out. This mixer would be plenty loud in a club environment. This mixer imho is amazing for $500, on many levels it can hang with $1,500 units. It's not a Rane 72, but it's less than a 1/3rd the price, and feels like it should cost more than it does.Numark knocked it out of the park with this one for sure.

Finally a Serato mixer that anyone can afford and it has lots of bells and whistles! I love this thing! Coming from an sl4 box and separate mixer I find having 4 pads for cues is plenty. Scrolling and loading tracks without touching the laptop is great. Having access to FX and using the FX paddles is a big bonus. I've always put Innofaders in all of my mixers, so having it already in there at this price point was amazing. I've been using it for about 4 months now and I even did a workshop with Rob Swift, and this thing held its own.If I had anything to say against it, it would be not having the ability to switch between crates using the mixer. You can scroll through your current crate and load the track using the mixer, but need to touch the laptop to change ... MoreFinally a Serato mixer that anyone can afford and it has lots of bells and whistles! It would be nice if it came with Serato vinyl, but most people buy the cool colored ones anyway and never use the plain ones normally packaged with the mixer. This is a great mixer! I highly recommend it!

It does everything it states it should. I was worried about buying a Numark as generally I have found them gimicky junk but at the price point I thought I’d take a chance Feels nice, not sure on the durability or longevity of up faders but I’m not expecting a lot for the price. The innofader mini crossfader is a nice addition and feels nice although not quite as sharp as innofader pro which I’ve been using for years and I’m sure most people wouldn’t even notice the difference and saying that I won’t be swapping out the mini.Only feature I miss on this product is Aux inputs but it’s no biggie.

Overall:Unfortunately, zZounds kept sending me duds. I've exchanged three Numark Scratch Mixer because each time I received it it did not work. . It's not receiving any input from my SP404 or my Stanton t.92. This third time was very deflating. This Numark Scratch apparently is not hype I'm hearing. very disappointed in this mixer. I also reached out to Numark weeks ago and got no responds. I'm done!
This product was exactly what I was looking for. I'm an old school vinyl DJ but am open minded and looking to take advantage of new tech to improve efficiency and add some flair to my mixes. At first I shopped around for a DJ controller but frankly, that's not my thing. I wanted a hybrid mixer that would allow me to still use traditional vinyl and provide an option for DVS. This mixer provides that and more. With the included Serato DJ Pro and DVS licenses, all I had to do was plug in the USB cord and start playing. I picked up a set of timecode vinyl and that was it. I now can utilize the FX, performance pads for cue/sampler/rolls, loops and filters. If the mood strikes I can switch to regular vinyl on either side with a switch of a button. Either both tables vinyl or one side DVS and the other vinyl. It was a bit intimidating at first but after a few hours I picked it up quickly. As an "old head" I feel perfectly at home with this affordable mixer. The bonus Innofader is the best I have ever used. Love that you can use the low/hi pass filters with traditional vinyl and the rest of the features are easy to use with Serato. This product is perfect for vinyl DJ's looking to up their game. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.
Been djing for awhile now. Ive had a vestax 05 pro 2, 06pro 2, rane ttm 57sl, traktor z2, and a couple other mixers. Ill be real when i read numark i automatically thought it was garbage, back in the day i probably would have been right. Im allot older now and pretty much just scratch on a tech. 1200, i wanted a mixer primarily with an excellent crossfader. The only options are from pioneer and rane and they are at least $1500, i have the money but i couldnt justify the cost so i went with the numark scratch...if this thing didnt have the fx section, booth output, and filter it WOULD STILL BE A BARGAIN, the fact that it has all that is just extra. Overall im glad i bought the mixer; innofader crossfader, pretty good build quality, and serato, you cannot go wrong if ... MoreBeen djing for awhile now. I used to DJ during the 90s - had a residency, played loads of illegal parties and some guest slots for the like of the Cream tour. Always kept my records but kids and a job became the priority so DJing took a back seat.I was one of those people who was reluctant to adapt to the digital world.Recently started flicking through my tunes, got an itch I had to scratch. Wasn't sure if I just wanted to get a standard mixer or go full digital or the halfway house of DVS. Decided DVS was a nice place to get back into it - got the feel of vinyl but some of the benefits of digital. The next question was whether to get a full controller or something like the scratch which didn't have a lot of the functions of a full dedicated controller. You know where I ended up by the ... MoreI used to DJ during the 90s - had a residency, played loads of illegal parties and some guest slots for the like of the Cream tour. You know where I ended up by the review.Such a great bit of kit - if I'd had this back in the day I could see some banging nights. I'm enjoying it more than the Xone 92 I had last (sadly sold) and that's mainly due to not only being a vinyl mixer but also having Serato on hand. Loving being able to flick between vinyl and Serato. Plus it's got a superb sound to it and the filters work so well.LOVE IT!!
Best DVS mixer under £500 IMO. Good build quality all over. The pots, faders and performances pads are really good. I found the pads to be responsive and the FX switch is a nice touch. With Serato I plugged and played using a MacBook Pro with no hassle. Sound quality is nice and professional enough to gig with. In the past I have always regarded Numark as cheap and cheerful, but these days they are offering pro quality at low prices. The feature layout on this mixer can only be found on the S9 or Rane 72 for stand alone mixers. The cheaper alternative would be the Akai AMX, but that only has RCA outputs and it lacks the performance pads/ build quality. IMO It's worth spending the extra £180-200 to get the Numark scratch 2
Great bit of kit! The inno fader is awesome, the mixer looks great and you get a lot for the price as it comes with serato dj pro (worth £100 on its own). If you are just starting out or on a budget then you will not find a better scratch battal mixer than this one. Some quality features for a 2 channel mixer. Perfect for a beginner hip hop dj, Love it.
All in all this is a great mixer for the price and as is, it will get the job done. The Mini Innofader provides smooth cuts & the channel faders are good for what they are but are not removable. The mini Innofader can be accessed by an access panel located under the mixer. Really good sound quality & the toggles work great with the 6 preset effect buttons. The filter knob works well and works and also works in both PC and line/phono mode. The 4 pads per channel are very responsive and give you something to work with. Although there is a slope and reverse switch for the crossfader only, you can also adjust the curve on the crossfader and upfaders in Serato settings. Easy to hook up and is basically plug n play even if you have to load the drivers for PC. ... MoreAll in all this is a great mixer for the price and as is, it will get the job done. Everyone has different hand and fader techniques which is why as a turntablist, it is so important to have these switch options at your fingertips reach to make fine tune adjustments on the fly. If this mixer had the cut, curve, reverse switches and removable channel faders for upgrading, this thing would be at a whole new level of being a beast.
