I purchased George numatic as I needed another wet and dry cleaner. I had another well known brand for carpet cleaning but it was overated and did not last long. I saw a youtube blogger complain that because George does not have a roating brush it does not clean effective. Tosh !!! You just have to put the extra work in. Also it depends on the shampoo you use. At first I did use the shampoo that was supplied but had some professional cleaner that gave better results. I had some deep stains in a number of carpets that needed removing. The normal carpet cleaning head was ok, though would have been better if it was same size but the width of the upholstery cleaner. Yes, using the smaller attachment was hard work but gave excellent results, and worked well over large areas. George was easy to assemble but there are plenty of videos around to assist if you have problems. Would recommend.

Pros: I never thought anything could clean the deep and dried stains on my carpets. “George” has made them look brand new! Excellent. Really excellent. Cons: None to really quibble about. Just adapting from carpet cleaner to vacuum is a bit fiddly for small hands but it’s no big deal

Pros: George is an excellent all round 3 in 1 cleaner with strong suction power, it is very well made with a decent amount of tools for those little nooks etc. George is a very neat machine easily to store under the stairs or on a small cupboard and because its a 3 in 1 its all you need for hoovering up, cleaning carpets / furniture and sucking up spills. George is also not too bulky or heavy like other 3 in 1 s / carpet cleaners. Very happy with purchase! Cons: George could do with a proper lead storage rather than wrapping around the machine as it makes it look untidy, a couple of upright hooks could be the answer to wrap the lead neatly in place. The only other possible negative is that the carpets get quite wet when using the cleaning mode and take a while to ... Years ago I bought a Hetty vacuum cleaner. It vacuumed well and was easy to use, but I was bewitched by a seemingly all singing and dancing upright by a well known brand. I sold Hetty and regretted it. Ive bought carpet shampoo machines too not impressed by any including the top brands.I wanted a machine that would serve as a vacuum cleaner for regular round the house use, plus a carpet shampooer as I want to freshen my carpets regularly and I was hoping for a machine rugged enough to clear up things like a dusty garage floor.George does it all. Seriously, it tackles each of these different tasks with ease. The design has changed little, but I find this model the easiest to use in terms of changing and hoses and switching between functions. The capacity is endless, whether its dust and day to day carpet cleaning or more heavy duty shampooing. The suction is incredible and following recent water damage to a fitted carpet, this machine was outstanding at sucking up the moisture in a waterlogged fitted carpet. The shampoo tank which holds the clean shampoo water is separate to the dirty water tank.Theres a hose for wet jobs and a separate hose for dry. Comes with a bottle of shampoo which is generous enough to clean all the carpets in my home more than once. Plus there are 4 cylinder bags for day to day dust collection. Easy to fit, huge capacity and when full just remove and dispose of...they can be emptied and reused if you wish. Good for removing pet hairs a long hose for nooks and crannies and Im even more pleased that the cleaner is UK made. Easy to store as its compact. Quality item, worth every penny as it will give years of service. Very highly recommended
I bought this vaccum for a specific reason, i bought it for the wet functionality. We have in the past used Vax which was just awful appreciate it probably was an older product and that newer models may have provided better results and we have used Bissell. The Bissell in my opinion was better, but i didnt like the idea of storing some large upright standing vaccum for the odd occasion, and have a traditional dry vaccum. We originally looked at the Bissell SpotClean Pro, but again the downside is that it is specifically a wet vaccum only, and at 149.99 there isnt that much price difference between The Bissell and Henry George but you also gain the dry function. Now i have a bit of a hoovervaccum obsession. In my laymans thinking way, a hoover should by design be able to ... And the other is a V6 Animal cordless hoover which after 3 minute of hoovering needs to be emptied, or over a year of use the battery gives up and a replacement needed.I was advised by a friend to buy a Henry because A. They have fantastic suction B. It hoovers up everything from dirt and dog hair, to rubble and plaster, and C. they are cheap and are easy to get spare parts for and will generally last years. I always turned my nose up at the Henry range, thinking a cheap vaccum that has a power cord couldnt be better than a 300 dyson cordless hoover. I took the plunge and bought a Henry Hoover to help with some rubble and plaster dust from a bathroom refit we were doing. I was amazed. They are fantastic. They are by my own admission a no frills plastic tub hoover with a small motor, a smiley face and some attachements with a Hepaflo Bag. But my god is it useful, and for the price, no complaints. To this day i have hoovered anything i wanted, Sawdust, Plaster, Rubble, Dirt, Dust etc and it never gets blocked. When the suction gets a bit weak your bag is full change the bag and bang, full power again.By this experience i decided to get another Henry product. This is where the George came in. With the lockdown and issues happening globally around the virus that prevents our normality, we have cancelled our travel plans, and as most people are doing, we decided to focus on making our home look and feel a little less tired. Painting, decorating and making our garden resemble something off of Love Island the wifes idea. And i decided i wanted something that would clean our cars, and carpets and provide us with good clean results and something i knew would last for further occasions in the future. So we bought the George.I once again was not disappointed. Powerful, more so than our dry hoover, comes with all the necessary well designed and thought out attachements for all applications.I finished my carpet stairs and our sons bedroom with the wet function, and to my surprise was amazed with how much dirt it collects. It simply just works, No frills, No over complications and easy instructions.I havent tried the dry use function of it yet, however if my little 620W Henry impresses me, i cant see how the 1060W George will not do the same.My only critisim, and it is minor. But with a Henry, you can tidy the cable away within the motor housing, it simply hand turn winds back in. But with the George the cable is all loose, and there is a fair amount of it.There is a hook on the back for you to hang a looped cable over, but this to me just seems a little messy and i would have preferred Numatic to have built this with two hooks so you could wrap around both for a tidy way of securing your cable to the machine. As it happens we have used Reusable cable ties to limit how much cable is being used for easier tidying away.Aside from this, i love it, such a great tool for wet and dry use, and in my experience of the wet use, it couldnt be easier and makes carpets feel and smell fresher. As we already have a henry for the house, this will now be a Vaccum for the car and wet use on anything else. There are plenty of useful Youtube videos online showing the applications of this Vaccum, and i honestly thing it was worth the price we paid.910 i would rate higher, but i dont like the cable design.
Bought to replace a blue Charles whose motor blew up five years and two months after purchase, which I feel is too short for what I paid for it, and the unstrenuous work it ever did.Big advantage of buying this was that the hat containing the motor also fits onto the Charles remaining corpse, so instead of tediously having to dry out the thing after a wet clean before you can do a dry clean which can take a few days depending on weather, you just transfer the hat over immediately. We also now have two sets of attachments and hose pipes etc, which is handy. For mopping floors, Im really not sure if the ability to spray solution over the Charles model is worth all the extra money. Just use a mop to wet the floor, use the Charles to suck. However, this George model can ... We dont have any carpets in our house, but the car seat clean looks very interesting, given our kids have stained several seats and even a deep clean valet hasnt lifted those. In terms of bad news, it looks like Nuance are fitting ever cheaper and lower quality motors to their range. If your head is just outside the exhaust vent of this model, it smells slightly of electrics burning just as the Charles used to, so I think the motor is manufactured to fail early. I dropped my Amazon review of the Charles from five to three stars because of its early death. Nuance, if youre reading this, please consider TEN YEARS as a minimum acceptable lifespan for a 300 or even 200 hoover. FIVE YEARS is not acceptable, I can get a cheap 20 hoover from Aldi that lasts longerIf this George model also dies before eight years old, Ill return here to drop the review score again. Heres hoping my previous Charles was just a dud model.
If you're here you are looking for a solution to a vacuum or a carpet extractor. You saw George is both. Your search is over. He is worth every penny. The suction power on George is amazing, it's too good in some instances that you have to develop technique as to not let the hose attachment get stuck to the floor. i should mention i use him for home and in my car detailing business. The exactor is phenomenal although like every full size carpet extractor wand it can be tricky to get all the tight spaces. i have no real complaints that come to mind.
Okay, I can't say its reliable as I only received it last week. I can however say it did a great job hoovering downstairs. I may have to purchase The Airo brush at some point, as it tries to pick the carpet up. We got it for carpet cleaning actually and haven't got round to that yet. I couldn't resist getting it set up for the hard floors, kitchen bathroom and hallway. I used a low foam carpet/hard floor cleaner and it used less water than I anticipated so the remainder I used for a small rug and some spot cleaning of stains on the lounge carpet and it did a brilliant job on all of it. Giving me the confidence to tackle the rest of the lounge carpet next week.
Pros: George is absolutely brilliant. My carpets in my house and my car have never looked to clean and fresh. He has made my carpets look “fluffy” again. It is a work out to use him but well worth it. Cons: Hmm just a tiny nit pick is that George does not have a retractible wire. I have to wrap the chord around him but this did not put me off buying.
Pros: Rather than completing this survey when sent, I have waited a few months to experience all the features and uses this machine is capable of. I have a very busy home with three dogs and three small grandchildren, a good all-in-one is essential! The result is: it is a fantastic piece of kit! The suction is so much I bought an after market head with wheels for use on carpets as it was quite a workout (even using the in line air flow regulator located at the top of one of the light weight stainless steel tubes) the best 'deep clean' vacuum I've owned in 40yrs! The 'wet' function is a gem! Not only does it easily suck up a tiled floor flooded with water, the safety cut off ball attachment (you need to fit when working with water. The 'wet' function is a gem! Not only does it easily suck up a tiled floor flooded with water, the safety cut off ball attachment (you need to fit when working with water. Part of the kit supplied) works perfectly! It will leave your floors streak free by returning over the floor once the main volume of water has been sucked up. (I found that drawing the wet head towards you had the best effect) The upholstery set I put through a serious workout. We had a convertible car which had stood for 2yrs. The mold, sand and dirt that had accumulated/grown (yuk) was embarrassingly disgusting! I should have taken before and after photos, as I thought the car was a write off! It brought the interior back to NEW condition!!! Sucking the sand out from deep in the carpets, removing the mold and grime from the upholstery (quite gross to see the clear cleaning solution (supplied)) turn to a blackish brown as it cleaned the seats... WOW! There was a little green mossy patch on the drivers bolster (due to water ingress through the window not being closed(one of the faults of the car)) This required a light scrub. Then a second application and it was 'showroom condition' Truly a gem of a machine! Cons: Ok.... You must remember that this is not just a vacuum cleaner. Therefore, storage is required for all the kit that comes with the machine. (This is not a fault, I just didn't think of this when purchasing it) my 'bits' now live in my airing cupboard. It has sockets on the base of the body for the different heads and hose attachments, however these are not so practical as they fall off when the hose or cable catches on them. So I don't use them until I put George away. The cleaning pick-up hose attaches to a clip under the black head unit, there are two clips... one is much too big, the other holds it, just, so care needs to be taken that it is out of the way when using the vacuum mode. The main issue I have is the power cord. There is a 'U' bracket so the cord can be wrapped around the black head of the machine when not in use, but i find that the wheels being smooth, jam if the cord is in front of them. I toppled the machine on my first outing trying to pull the unit over the cord. (If this happened with water in the waste tank would it damage the motor?) Maybe a treaded tyre would negate this? So be mindful of the cord. The cord is a brilliant length for my 4 bed home/car cleaning. The weight of the machine doesn't seem as heavy as it says it is, but it is just manageable to carry up the stairs. (I have back and sciatic problems, so I partially rest the unit on the treads as I ascend/descend) I did note other reviews comment on the cord not having a retraction system, I can only presume this is to minimize the weight and size maybe. I hope this review helps you decide. Personally I think it would be very difficult to beat this all-in-one machine at this price point. (Even with these niggles)
