I've tried a lot of them, and I must be far less sensitive to the perceived bitterness of stevia powders than a lot of the reviewers out here.I sense it, don't get me wrong, but it's just that it's not a deal-breaker for me. I simply add a teeny touch of sugar or honey to the liquid (depending on what I want to sweeten) and then use the stevia to do the heavy lifting in terms of sweetness. Therefore, my review will not be based in any way on a perceived level of bitterness... I feel it is entirely irrelevant, since we all sense bitterness-- as well as "heat/spicyness"-- in food very differently, as individuals. In judging a product in this category, for me, it's far more important how a particular brand's powder comes out of the package, i.e.-- does it stick ... MoreI've tried a lot of them, and I must be far less sensitive to the perceived bitterness of stevia powders than a lot of the reviewers out here.I sense it, don't get me wrong, but it's just that it's not a deal-breaker for me. Is it too powdery? Does it mix well? Do I find that the proper amount of stevia powder is actually in the packet? This product does all of these things well, in my opinion. It is not the only one, but it is one of the best I've had thus far. Nice consistency on the powder-- not too fine, not too coarse.I've had packets from other companies where that was the case... not a happy texture, or it clumped, or it clung to the packet edges. This one has none of those issues.

I have spent so much time in the grocery store scanning over the numerous types of Stevia each time I run out. I kept trying different ones because I could not find one that was pure enough while tasting good AND priced reasonably. I would need to use (3) packs for my coffee on some of the brands. (and, I do not like a very sweet coffee). I finally chose to order Puritan's Pride's "NuNaturals White Stevia Powder" & was totally satisfied! Not only was it the ideal Stevia for me, but it eliminated the lengthy search in the grocery store. This will definitely be my "go to" for my Stevia!

The 100 packets have lasted so long, I began to wonder if it would be out of date or taste funny. It doesn't. I love this stuff, but a packet , one tiny packet sweetens a lot of cups of decaf tea and coffee the way I like it. I also use a packet per quart of green cold brewed tea, just put 2 tea bags and a packet of NS in cold water and refrigerate over night. Shake a few times as it's the agitation that brings out the antioxident properties so I read. I don't really like tea but because of its health benefits, I am trying to drink it and I am doing very well thanks to NuStevia. I also put a packet in our "fresh" orange juice bottle which smooths out the green, bitter taste as good as a spoonful of sugar. And of course, the price is right!I have a daughter and a ... MoreThe 100 packets have lasted so long, I began to wonder if it would be out of date or taste funny. It doesn't. I use this all the time. I have been diabetic (type II) since 1997 and control it by diet. I am not yet on insulin and hope to keep it that way. I do wish there was a product that had stevia from the leaf with no extra sweetener but until then, this one works for me. My daughter says there is a bitter after taste but thank God, I can’t taste it or it doesn’t bother me because Sucralose causes sever abdominal pains an I need stevia. I made cupcakes with it, you use 1/4th the amout of sugar called for and it turned out just fine.
I highly recommend this product to replace sugar and artificial sweeteners. Refined sugar is dangerous to one’s health and artificial sweeteners are putting chemicals in your body. Switch to stevia products. This brand is economical too.
I was taking Stevia way before it became the "new" sugar substitute that was competing with the artificial sugars like Equal and Sweet 'n Low, which were not only cheaper, but I thought tasted better but that was probably because my taste buds had adjusted to them and I was use to their flavor. There was a time when I first started taking them that it wasn't so smooth sailing. But then you acquire the taste. The first Stevias out on the market were terrible tasting, a bitter after taste that ruined the whole experience-natural or not. EXCEPT for the NuStevia brand. The taste has no aftertaste at all and I can't tell the difference between NuStevia or any of the artificial sugar substitutes out there. As far as how it compares to cane sugar, you'll have to ask ... MoreI was taking Stevia way before it became the "new" sugar substitute that was competing with the artificial sugars like Equal and Sweet 'n Low, which were not only cheaper, but I thought tasted better but that was probably because my taste buds had adjusted to them and I was use to their flavor. The taste has no aftertaste at all and I can't tell the difference between NuStevia or any of the artificial sugar substitutes out there. As far as how it compares to cane sugar, you'll have to ask someone else. Stevia has become more popular now so I am sure there are other Stevia brands out there that I am assuming have improved the taste of the older, first marketed Stevias, but NuStevia was always great tasting so I am sticking with them. My only complaint about NuStevia overall is that even though it is natural, that it comes from a plant, that it's not concocted from artificial chemicals like Splenda, Equal, etc. the chemical that holds the Stevia grains together is Maltodextrin which is an artificial ingredient made in a lab and it's made from glucose, which comes from a starch, which can either be from corn or wheat. I don't know how much maltodextrin there is in NuStevia, but it is in there, unfortunately, and until I can find an acceptable tasting Stevia that does not include these artificial binders, if that's even possible, I will be sticking with NuStevia. So unless you're allergic to corn or wheat, I would highly recommend this item.
I've been using this excellent powdwered stevia sweetener for several years. This is the best I've ever used. It's a fine white powderand disolves instantly in hor or cold beverages and tastes as good as actual sugar. No aftertaste. Also excellent on cold or hot cereals. Wherever you were using cane sugar, this makes anoutstanding alternative. Each packet is equal to about two rounded teaspoons, in terms of sweetness.
I used Nu Naturals stevia powder for many years until they decided to change the formula to a much washed out weaker product, that is what you buying now. But I tried other sellers and found one that surpasses Nu Naturals in sweetness and in way less quantity to be used....if you search, you'll find it.
I've been telling people about NuNaturals for years, because their stevia really is top quality. Regular stevia products from the grocery store are what people are thinking of when they say, "I don't like stevia... it has a bitter taste." 1 tsp = 1/4 cup sugar when it comes to baking. And no, this is not pure white stevia powder... that would actually be a pain to deal with. "NuNaturals Stevia Extract (NuStevia) is so extremely concentrated that 1/32 tsp. is equal to 1 serving in a packet." That would be hard to measure for recipes, etc, so they add maltodextrin to help make the stevia powder flow properly & be convenient to measure. Don't worry, though, because the "maltodextrin NuNaturals uses in White Stevia Powder is made from IP-Certified Non-GMO corn." I have one review to Wisdom Natural, SweetLeaf, Natural Stevia Sweetener, 4 oz (115 g) in which also mentioned this NuNatural stevia 100 packets :i used to add agave to my coffee every morning. switch to stevia coz it's likely more healthier sweetner. for the first several times my coffee was tasted weird like chemicals but now the weird taste fades out and i'm feeling good with it. I also buy NuNaturals, NuStevia, White Stevia Powder, 100 Packets for being used outside. this one tastes more weird & chemical if add one packet. if half, it's acceptable. of coz the coffee may have little bit sweet taste and even too light but better than weird. i'm still getting used to the packet one.
