Beautiful keyboard
Honestly the coolest, but lowkey gaming keyboard I've ever seen/used. I really wanted a good mechanical gaming keyboard, but something that didn't have that "GAMING RGB PRO ESPORTS" vibe to it and wasn't so dang loud. This hit the perfect sweet spot. the macro placement is pretty great too. I've never used macros before, but I definitely will now. Never used a "ghost" space bar before either, but yeah it's really quiet. I hope it become industry standard. the feel of the keys is the best I've ever had. Solid, but very soft. Not mushy. I'm not really a keyboard enthusiast, but it feels great to me. I even left instructions the next time they tried to deliver and they just called me and still didn't understand. One of the most frustrating experiences with shipping I've ever had. I would advise waiting until nuphy has a a stockpile in the US and ships with amazon. Might be just an apartment thing too though.... Show more

Broken software and firmware bring down a great board
Note for Linux Users: If you need to use the f keys then it's unusable out of the box. The Field75 reports as an Apple USB device in lsusb, which makes the F keys unusable in Windows mode as they default to media keys and the shortcut to switch their function doesn't work. Thankfully you can use Mac mode without much issues, or you can set hid_apple to use fnmode 2 ( ) which makes it work nearly perfectly.First the good. The feel of the board is great, at least compared to the Razer keyboards I had previously, and considering the price, it's fantastic. I got Polaris switches and they're very buttery smooth. Add in hotswap switches, connectivity options, and it's greate looks and I wish I could love it more, but Nuphy is unfortunately letting it down via their software and firmware. For the software side, it's... non-existent at this point. Apparently Nuphy Console for the Field75 was bricking boards and setting off anti-virus. It's obvious that it wasn't tested properly before release. I did get my hands on the Console, but it's fairly limited. Particularly I was disappointed to learn that you can only set keys (such as the extra buttons) to keys on the keyboard. It would have been REALLY nice to be able to set them to F13-24 so they don't overlap with the f keys. Then the firmware seems to be weirdly broken. Windows mode works fine, but if you do Fn+X+F (to change the f keys between multimedia and f keys) while in Mac mode, Windows mode breaks switching Enter, Esc, Backspace, and arrow keys to other keys. Thankfully it's fixed by just power cycling the board. Additionally occasionally if the board gets disconnected it won't reconnect for about 30 seconds. Additionally, if you press any key while BT is waiting to be paired, the board freezes and can't be used until you restart it. Ultimately nothing completely breaking, but it's obviously unpolished at this point in time.... Show more

Decent keyboard, poor connections
I launch my PC in grub and it doesn't connect 20% of the time. Switching it back forth between 'usb' and '2.4G' usually gets it to work but it is quite annoying and sometimes I have to restart my PC to get anything to work. The typing is pretty good, but if you are going to get the extra keycaps make sure its exactly what you want. Exceptional Hardware, Disappointing Software
The keyboard itself is physically fantastic. Probably the smoothest switch-insertion and removal I've ever experienced on a board. The handle on the side is weirdly convenient, and doesn't get in the way. The clickiness of the rotary encoder is very satisfying. It's all great.Where it suffers is the software, which not only was rather challenging to be able to use in the first place (had to update the firmware just to be able to detect it, which was not documented as far as I could see on nuphy's website, and I had to get the new firmware from a sketchy Google drive link because the url the forum post I was following that supposedly pointed to nuphy's own website didn't work), but doesn't let you customize everything. Can't map functionality to the rotary dial, ... Can't map functionality to the dial's side button, which appears not to do anything by default. Can't map functionality to the little gear which seems to control RGB - and since I can't remap it, I have to be careful not to bump it lest I have to use the software to get my RGB the way I like it again. It gets 4 starts because the keyboard itself is so good, but the software support and availability of information is just awful. I'd rate them individually at 2/5 for the software, and 7/5 for the physical keyboard.Fortunately software is something that can be improved with updates - but honestly I don't know if I should be holding my breath for this one.... Great design, feel, and sound!
Went with the ethereal color scheme, which looks phenomenal irl. Still wish they'd released a more vibrant yellow like the design they initially showcased, but very happy with this color combo.Re: RGB, it's worth keeping in mind that unlike the electro case, this case color is fully opaque on top so you aren't going to get much rgb except between the keys, especially if you don't get a shine-thru cap set. I think this is a great look, but just wanted to mention it. Also the translucent panels on the bottom look cool, but at least with my set up I don't see any diffused lighting reflecting from underneath like I thought I might. As a long time brown switch user, I really like the fleeting golds. The bump is subtle, but present, and the shortened travel distance isn't as dramatic as I was worried it might be. Overall these switches+keycaps sound great and is hands down the most consistent feeling and sounding board I've had.Personally I really like that they went with non-standard keys (and microswitches) for the macro keys. Something about the difference helps my brain register that they are my macro buttons. Also wasn't sure if I'd like the placement of the bottom macro keys but have found them really convenient to hit with my thumb. Not as big of a fan of the three knob cluster in the top left:- I have mixed feelings about the metal volume wheel. Id say it feels and sounds great (assuming you like the sound of a ratchet mechanism), but at least on my board the sound/feel is a little inconsistent. This is a really minor gripe, but something I noticed immediately the first time I touched it. I'm also not sure I love the placement.- the small rotary knob that controls the backlight settings is the only piece of the keyboard I'd describe as fiddly. It's so low profile and small that its a little hard to turn, and also easy to click in when trying to scroll. Not something I'll use much, so hoping it will be able to be remapped later.- the three-way selector switch (wired/BT/2.4ghz) feels like a bit of wasted space (for my use) and would have rather seen this on the side or back of the board. Just not something I need rapid-fire access to.The only real complaint I have is the lack of a place/door/slot to store the 2.4ghz dongle. This just feels like a weird oversight. It is quite small, and I am quite sure i am going to lose it eventually.I also would have preferred QMK/VIA, but the field console has worked fine for me so far and NuPhy has been quite fast at releasing new versions and firmware updates. That being said, all my 'cons' feel like very minor complaints, some of which certainly won't even apply to everyone. Ultimately, NuPhy has delivered a board with an awesome design, that manages to still feel and sound fantastic, all while keeping the price point very competitive for the high level of finish here. Very happy with my purchase!P.s. I have a hybrid work schedule, so would love to see some kind of carrying case/bag designed for this board, though so far using the included dustcover has worked well.... Show more

Interesting design but disappointing in some ways
This is one of the more interesting designs for mechanical keyboards, and I really like the look and feel of it. Personally, I find typing on this keyboard a joy. Now, the bad parts: I preordered this keyboard before it was first launch. The first month of usage was a pain, since I had weird issues intermittently. Certain keys wouldn't work, or the connection wouldn't work, but if I reboot a 2nd time, it was strangely resolved. The Support team tried to help and some issues were resolved, so at least now the keyboard is mostly usable. I still get the odd intermittent issue once a while, but it was tolerable. The other thing is the lack of support. The firmware is barely updated. The strange thing was, the Console app would flag out as a malware on all my antivirus softwares. It was also finnicky and sometimes wouldn't connect. Overall, I felt that the keyboard had such promise, but the team just abandoned it (at least that's how I feel as a user). I wouldn't be buying another Nuphy keyboard unless it is a matured and stable (and well supported) product.Oh, also, the keyboard has Mac keys, but yet, zero Mac software support. The Console is only for Windows. Good luck to mac users like myself.... Show more

Nob is no good, stalled in beta software
The turning nob is useless. Rolling it up click-by-click will result in volume going up, then down, then not registering anything, then up two times, then nothing, then down one. Each click produces a random result - you're better of just hotkeying a 'volume up' or 'volume down' button. No software updates in months, still in beta. Software often doesn't recognize the KB unless you completely reboot your computer and try again. Can't remap the volume click-in button at all.Weird choice for a KB to be full RGB and then not include see-through caps. This generally 'feels' great, but the high price is marred by these quality control issues and a lack of care over software support, which you'll see across Nuphy products. Not Mac Friendly
Long review:A few months ago, I ordered the Field75 without realizing that the Field console software only supports Windows to assign the G1-G8 buttons or any configurations for the keeb in general. I use an iMac and use Apple's ecosystem for my laptop, iPad, and iMac; which made it really disappointing to find out the Field console only supports Windows. Honestly, the keyboard is great despite only supporting Windows, but it is really misleading to advertise this keyboard as Mac/Apple friendly when it actuality it isn't for this keyboard.Pros:- macOS keycaps are included as extra keycaps to switch out for Mac- it has bluetooth, 2.4 ghz, and wired mode availability- the color is very unique and pretty. Especially if you purchase Nuphy's shine-through keycaps and switch them out.- the RGB is beautiful (especially with the shine-through keycaps)- the key profile doesn't involve or take long in getting used to (in my opinion)- volume wheel- comes with a dust cover- the Polaris switches sound great (I bought the Noether variant with the Polaris switches)Cons:- no macOS support for Field console- Field console software is very limited when it comes to configuring keys and assigning the G1-G8 buttons.- no VIA/QMK support- the switches are EXTREMELY difficult to take out of the board if you want to change the switches (this may just be my keyboard that has difficulty with this but I still worth noting)I do want to mention that the keyboard does have an onboarding memory. If you use a Windows computer to access the Field console software, the board will remember your adjustments with macros and remapping. Although, whatever you map from a Windows computer may not be available for Mac after you assign what you desire. I used my roommate's Windows computer to use the Field console and configured the keyboard to my liking with its very limited software; but some of what I configured on my roommate's computer didn't translate over to Mac (a button to pull up the calculator and some of the functions I assigned to the G-buttons). This is very well worth noting for future buyers!!Another problem I had is with the bluetooth. My Mac could not pair with this keyboard. My keyboard showed up as an option to pair with but wouldn't pair with my computer or any of my other devices. So, the bluetooth doesn't work on any of my devices that I tried to pair it to. However, the keyboard was able to successfully pair to my other roommate's Windows computer. Not sure if anyone else has this problem with their board though. In order for me to use the keyboard, I either need to use it via wired or 2.4ghz connection. This was extremely disappointing to me.Love the keyboard but unfortunately I decided to give it to one of my roommates. This keyboard has a lot of potential and I hope Nuphy puts this review into consideration if they come out with a V2 version.... Show more

SO impressed! This is my new go-to recommendation for all of my friends who are looking for a quick, easy, and high quality keyboard in a reasonable price range.
This board is so great! I bought it on a whim one weekend thinking it would just be a cute wireless board but not much beyond that, but I was so wrong!First of all, I didn't even realize it came with keycaps included in the price. I thought I would have to choose one of the options to get keycaps so I just left it unselected to use my own, but it came with a full set already on the board. The switches also came pre-installed and it's a hotswap board which is amazing and super convenient. The switches (I chose the Polaris switches) are super smooth and I'm really happy with how the keyboard feels out of the box. I don't really feel the need to replace or lube the switches - they could be a bit better, sure, but for what I paid and for the convenience of it all ... MoreThis board is so great! I don't really feel the need to replace or lube the switches - they could be a bit better, sure, but for what I paid and for the convenience of it all arriving assembled together, I'm perfectly happy with these. It is one of the louder boards I have but not so loud that I don't feel comfortable using it on open mic or taking it to the office. The spacebar has this fun little silicone slab under it to help reduce the hollow sounds and it works well. The STABILIZERS though - holy crap, these things are better than half the expensive stabs I've modded and lubed myself. There is zero rattle, it's super smooth, super consistent, and all of the stabs feel the same as each other. Amazing. The volume knob is amazing, feels better than the encoders that I have on my $500+ boards. The feedback from turning it is amazing and I want this on all my boards now haha.It has 8 macro buttons that can be remapped (not yet though - waiting for the Console to be released for this board). The macro buttons don't feel the best, they're just very sharp clicks kind of like the D-pad on an xbox controller, but I don't really mind. The RGB is really cute, I haven't looked into it much but it has a lot of options and customizability and it looks really nice with the keycaps included. The Bluetooth mode was pretty rough for me, probably because my PC has a bad bluetooth adapter. Using with 2.4ghz works perfectly and there's no noticeable input lag for regular use or gaming. USB mode works as expected. The knob to switch between modes is nice and responsive, modes switch immediately and seamlessly, and it looks good.On the underside there's a few switch toggles (underneath the kick-out feet) that allow you to fine tune the functions of certain keys for compatibility across various layouts and OSes, which is a nice touch. There's a USB PASSTHROUGH! Amazing, wish more keyboards had this.Board also comes with a cute little anime-style mascot poster with all the setup guides on the backside of the poster, which I thought was a fun way to deliver the info. The board is made of ABS plastic but it feels really hefty, not cheap at all. There's also a little handle you can use to carry the board if you so choose. Even the underside of the board is pretty and has color coded rubber feet and flip-out feet to raise the typing angle.I also bought the matching wrist rest and I'm really pleased with it too - I do wish there was some sort of magnetic attachment to the board or a slot you could slide it into to keep it attached if you wanted, but that's not really standard or necessary. It's really pretty and my only real gripe with the entire board is that the frosted acrylic of the wrist rest attracts fingerprints pretty easily (and thus looks clear instead of frosted for the duration of the fingerprints/sweat being on there). Overall it's really comfy and pretty either way.In terms of price/value this is honestly one of the best deals I've ever seen in the keyboard hobby. It feels great, looks great, is loaded with features that WORK, is hotswappable, comes with keycaps, comes with switches, is wireless or bluetooth or wired, has a USB passthrough, comes with amazing stabilizers, has a volume knob, adjustable typing angle, per-key RGB, customizable macro keys and more, a carrying handle, even includes a cable, switch puller, some spare keycaps if you want to adjust some of the functions... for $160? Under $200 if you include the wrist rest? This is a better deal than major gaming companies with significantly lower quality keyboards. If you're at all interested in custom keyboards but don't really want to spend a fortune and hours and hours customizing and modding it, this is a no-brainer.Can't wait to check out the Console when it's released. Recommending this to pretty much everyone I know. This is my first buy from this company but I will for sure be keeping an eye on them in the future.... Show more
