This keyboard is the favorite that I have ever typed on. It feels so good. The keys are so poppy and the sound so great - it is perfect! I use my board for IT work - so 40 hours a week minimum and totally I miss it when I use other keyboards around the house - even other Nuphy boards - this one is that good. I have Mint switches and love them. They are so much a part of what makes this board great to me. This is my first full size board. I have Daisy switches on my Air boards which is why I went linear here too. I would definitely recommend a wrist rest to keep things elevated to the correct angle. I did need to get a firmware from Nuphy to resolve some double-type issues, but with the latest they sent me it is totally resolved. Mine is the wired-only model.

I received my Gem 80 surprisingly early, just a few days ago. I got it to replace my Halo 65. The keyboard typing experience is incredible. I have the Raspberry switches, which produce the most perfect sound I have ever heard in a keyboard. It's an absolute delight to type on. I only have a couple of dislikes, which I will list below.Pros:- The typing sound is pure "thock" with Raspberry switches.- Keys are perfectly spaced for comfort and result in minimal errors, unlike the Air keyboard, which I struggle with.- The construction is solid, heavy, and of very high quality.- It's easy to assemble; just install the switches and keycaps.Cons:- There is no way to adjust the keyboard height. As someone who likes it a little elevated, this took a little getting used to, but I will adjust fine in a few days.- The LEDs are annoying. Due to the way the keyboard is designed, the keycaps float higher above the frame. When using the keyboard, you see straight through to the switches, which some people might like, but I prefer a more clean and flush look like my Halo. This really gets annoying with the LEDs; instead of lighting up the space between the keys, they now shine right into your eyes from underneath the keys. When working in the dark, this can become frustrating. I had to turn the LEDs off. With all this being said, I would still rate this 5 stars, just because the typing experience is really incredible. However, if they released a Halo V2 with all that was learned from this keyboard, I would switch.

I have officially became spoiled. This keyboard is by far the best keyboard I have ever typed on and if I were to ever buy a new keyboard, it would be the exact same one. There is nothing I would change about this experience other than re-living it again.- The keycap profile is perfect for me.- I LOVE this Obsidian Black color so much- Shipping was quick and painless- The unboxing experience was one of the best I have ever had for any product in generalI think I truly found the keyboard of my dreams. Please keep supporting this model and productI will recommend this one to everyone I know and swear by it

This is easily my favorite keyboard I've ever owned. I built one for my girlfriend last month, and was so jealous of it that I ended up getting one for myself as well. Out of the box with the optional keycaps and switches from Nuphy, it sounds fantastic. But I ended up putting some WS Morandi switches and a set of Drop DCX Latte keycaps in it, and now it is truly perfection. Plus all the different customization options are great. I have tried it with the PC and POM plate options, but ended up going back to the stock FR4 plate as it's my favorite to get that kind of poppy, marbly sound out of the board. The only thing I'd like to see in a future revision is screw in, PCB mounted stabilizers. And maybe dial back the factory lube on those a bit, as it ended up gumming ... MoreThis is easily my favorite keyboard I've ever owned. And maybe dial back the factory lube on those a bit, as it ended up gumming up on me pretty quick. I recently had to take them apart, clean them, and re-lube them myself.I genuinely can't say enough good things about this keyboard. Nuphy have absolutely knocked it out of the park with their first custom keyboard kit. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a TKL pick one of these up.
This was the first time I decided to invest in a nice keyboard, finally upgrading from the old wireless mac keyboard I'd been using for ~10 years, and I'm very happy I upgraded. Since this was my first time getting a mechanical keyboard, I wanted one that was easy to put together, but would still give me options to play with so I can learn what I like. This keyboard fit that bill perfectly. There was one catch, however. I use Linux Mint as my daily driver, and the keyboard's firmware had a few issues playing nice with it. In the end, I needed to fork and customize the keys layer to make the custom keys return key combinations that I can use as hotkeys.
My new favorite build. I used keybay W1 black diamond purple linear switches with krytox 205g, they sound and feel amazing on this keyboard. I thought about using a POM plate, but I ended up loving the FR4 plate it came with, it sounds and feels great. The NuPhy matching keycaps feel matte, smooth and sturdy. I feel this keyboard is the perfect weight and height. It’s medium weight and feels high quality.Con: The preinstalled plate-mounted space-bar stabilizer has consistent rattle on one side. Thankfully the rattle should be an easy fix. This was the only mild negative encounter.
The use of a translator may not make sentences smoothGood- Fun and great design,- High quality,-Various and easy customization options,- Beautiful color combination,- Keycap font that matches the concept of the keyboardBad- Some clearance of the GEM logo,- Irregular thickness of some key fonts (F, G, H, J, K, L, O, N, M),- When the window is awake in power saving mode when connecting to a wired connection, there is a phenomenon that cannot be input (power is normal and it operates normally when turned off and on)- A price that I think is a bit highI'd like to add a few more colors
I absolutely love this keyboard. Design, color choices, materials are great. The sound it makes is incredible. Connectivity is instant and reliable.Mint switches might be a little bit too soft for some people, especially with the heavier keys like space bar. Easy to fix with one lemon switch which comes out of the box. But in general absolutely pleased with switches. One issue I faced with was occasional duplication of input (you press a key one time and the input is duplicated, like "dd". After flashing the firmware to 1.0.3 the problem is mostly gone, but might be reproduced occasionally. Seems like an issue with the firmware, Nuphy support is aware of this and working on a fix.
The Gem80 is an objectively nice keyboard; it feels and sounds nice. I do like it, but it has a few glaring issues that overshadow the positives. My order came with two incorrectly installed stabilizers, one of which was broken as a result. This is disappointing for a premium (cost-wise) keyboard.I also cannot overstate the frequency of double typing, sometimes triple or quadruple typing in my case. I have the latest firmware, and haven't seen improvements. Similarly, I cannot make the Nuphy Console software work, it doesn't detect my wired keyboard.I'll also note for others, that the keyboard has RGB but not RGBW, so you will not attain white LEDs if that's your thing.I'm hoping to receive some support for these issues, otherwise I'll probably be trying to ... MoreThe Gem80 is an objectively nice keyboard; it feels and sounds nice. As I didn't have a nice TKL I had been considering the GEM80 but wasn't sure I wanted a PC base. However the blue just drew me in over time and I had to pick one up for myself.I purchased the GEM80 with the matching keycaps, raspberry switches and wrist rest. The raspberry were a little too light for me but very nice and smooth, I probably should have tried the tactile. The keycaps are some of the best made that I have purchased at a reasonable price. They were very nice keycaps I just didn't bond with the profile. I may give them both a try again later but for now I just wanted to make the board my own - these are pure preference and why NuPhy is selling as a barebones. Thus I put some of my favorite heavier switches on it and some GMK keycaps. The sound and feel is truly amazing. I was a little concerned that I wouldn't like the sound of the PC bottom but it definitely deepens the sound while the AL top and louder switches really bring out a nice sound with the FR4 plate that is included.I have the POM plate as well and plan to do some modifications in the near future but pretty much right out of the box I was very happy with the sounds. No issues getting the keyboard to be recognized in VIA and no issues with the BT or Wireless on my PC or Mac Studio.Options galore! While it doesn't come with a case you do get a cable and multiple mounting options to experiment with over time which means there should be a lot of good times ahead experimenting with the different sounds available.South facing LEDs look great and are easy to configure from the keyboard, no need for any extra software taking up the resources on your PC.If I were purchasing again I would buy the exact same setup. NuPhy is giving their customers some amazing deals on the switches and keycaps when purchased with the keyboard. Even if you don't like them for some reason the pricing is just too good to pass up. As I noted, I'll definitely give the keycaps another shot in the future, they look great on the board I just didn't want to get use to anything else initially and wanted to use this as my primary.I've hand my keyboard about 10 days now and very pleased with every aspect of it so far, I wouldn't change a thing. My only question is when are we going to get a NyPhy GEM75...
