NuPhy Halo65 mechanical keyboard has seriously brightened up my life (and my desk)!First off, the colors and design of this keyboard are just chef's kiss. The keycaps are vibrant and fun, and they've added this awesome pop of color to my desk setup. It's like a mini rainbow on my workspace, and I'm living for it!As for the feel, typing on the Halo65 is smoother than a baby seal sliding down a waterslide. And the sound? It's like a gentle symphony of clicks and clacks that's music to my ears. I've been using this keyboard for both work and personal stuff, and it has totally leveled up my typing game. This is a total winner in my book. It's got style, it's got a smooth feel, and it's got a pleasant sound that I can't get enough of. I've had a few mechanical keyboards before, although not custom builds, but I've thoroughly been impressed by what NuPhy has produced in the Halo65.The mount on the board, the quality of the stabilizers, the hot-swappable pcb including the array of switches provided gives you a really solid prebuilt experience with the quality of some customs. The design and form factor of the board itself coupled with the wrist rest really makes a case for both great usability and also great aesthetic which is a hard thing to nail. The lighting effects are great including the novel halo effect. It only slightly diffuses through the wrist rest but without it it still projects some light down towards your desk which illuminates the surroundings. My only potential qualm is that ... MoreI've had a few mechanical keyboards before, although not custom builds, but I've thoroughly been impressed by what NuPhy has produced in the Halo65.The mount on the board, the quality of the stabilizers, the hot-swappable pcb including the array of switches provided gives you a really solid prebuilt experience with the quality of some customs. There have some times where I only managed 2 full days of usage with RGB, in wireless mode on a full charge. Despite that I'm loving the keyboard.

I ordered a Halo65 for work and its very solid pre-built! Good quality construction, weight, keycaps, etc. Awesome Mac/PC support. Wireless works flawlessly. Love that so much is included with the package!I'm actually pleased that the lights are still north facing on these, they provide a nice glow, not the blinding pinpoints I have on my the south facing led keyboard at home. I ended up buying Durock switches with diffusers on my one at home to tone it down.Only nitpicks I have are very small and more of a wish list...-- It'd be nice the extra space was also a GhostBar.-- It'd also be nice to have silent switch option for work environments. While thocky is desirable, I'm sure my co-workers think so. Will likely need to swap in some Gazzews or something.-- ... MoreI ordered a Halo65 for work and its very solid pre-built! Before the Halo65 I had only bought a couple low profile mechanical keyboards, so this is my first "real" mechanical keyboard. I am really happy with the build quality, from the case to the actual keycaps they're the best of what I've experienced, it's a lot of improvement from the Air75 which has been my go-to for a year now, so great job to Nuphy. I'm really happy with the rose glacier switches that I decided to try as well.I wouldn't necessarily recommend this keyboard for really long hours of typing work, like for writing essays. It's very comfortable to type on but maybe not for more than 2+ hours straight. It's louder than I expected it to be right out of the gate and I don't have time right now to experiment with modding to make it better. This isn't necessarily a problem with the keyboard but more of a preference, though.
I recently purchased the Halo 65 keyboard with Gateron Baby Kangaroo switches, and it feels like an incredible performer. The keyboard's sleek, compact design is perfect for my workspace, and the hot-swappable switches make it easy to customize the typing experience to my liking.Gateron's Baby Kangaroo switches are a great choice for this keyboard. They provide smooth tactile feedback with low force, which makes typing easy. This keyboard has never failed to give me comfort and satisfaction when typing long emails or playing games.Overall, the Halo 65 Keyboard with Gateron Baby Kangaroo Switch is highly recommended for anyone who wants a great typing experience with its superior mechanical keyboard. It is well worth the investment!
Coming from someone that's only ever used cheap dell keyboards, apple keyboards, or a steel series gaming keyboard ($120 range in 2014), the halo65 is like the Cadillac of keyboards. I did not know there could be such a large difference in quality... I am back at work now typing on this cheap dell keyboard and can't help but want another one for my work office. If Nuphy made a halo65 w/ numpad, I'd easily buy it for work. Sadly, I need the numpad for data-entry at work so I'll stick with this cheap dell for now. I got the halo65 for software development studies at home because I wanted something minimalistic, well-built, wireless capabilities, and wrist support. I was really on the hunt for a ergonomic keyboard but couldn't decide on which design to go with. Then I saw this and its wrist support, figured I would try this one before venturing off down the ergo rabbit hole. Wrist support feels great and has some weight to it. It is independent from the keyboard and just butts up against it. The weight and its feet keep it from sliding around, even on a slippery desk mat. The exterior RGB from the keyboard reflects into the wrist support, kinda cool.I really love this keyboard. It was worth every penny. Please make a version with a numpad but keep the simplicity and weight!
I held out and waited for stock availability of the Halo65 with Night Breeze switches, and it was well worth the wait. I have several other mechanical keyboards in my house (Logitech 915 TKL, Razer Blackwidow Lite, and a few others) - so I'm not exactly new to mechanical keyboards, but I have never ventured into the real of custom builds.A few of the guys at my workplace have custom built boards - where they also emphasised quiet switches to make them suitable for a workplace environment - it got me wanting to explore a change, at the time I was using the Logitech 915 TKL with clicky blue switches. If you are someone that types a lot - this is a great keyboard. I find the Night Breeze switches allow me to type for really long periods of time without my fingers or knuckles getting sore. Keys get registered with a fairly light level of force - but just enough force that I don't find myself accidentally hitting keys. This is my first 65% keyboard that I have owned, and I have to say that I love the size of it. I am not missing any of the keys that aren't available on this layout. I like the extra deskspace that I have.
I was looking for a compact keyboard with arrow keys for quite a while. When I saw all the features and the sound for the price, I looked no further. I love the feel of baby kangaroo switches and even after comparing with the other included switches, I'm sure I made a good choice. Going from regular MX Cherry Red switch, this is a absolute pleasure to type on and listen to at the same time. It feels high quality, hefty, well build keyboard with quick wake up time (which was an issue on my previous board). I was planning to switch the keycaps since my setup is mostly blacked out, but at the end I love the feel of the stock one so much that I just kept them on and thanks to the included extra keycaps I was able to make it black and white, which looks fire. I've never owned a "nice" keyboard before. Having a peripheral of this build quality is completely new to me. This thing is heavy in a very good way. Its solid and does not flex or bounce like other cheap keyboards might. The price seems great for what you get. I love the silver plaque on the bottom. I'm almost embarrassed to have a PC peripheral so nice.I love the options you get with keycap colors and switches. I change keycaps almost weekly, so its very much welcome. The keycaps them selves are ok, but the legend font thickness and spacing is a tiny bit inconsistent and there is a run on the side part of one of the keys. The halo is a nice touch, but you cant notice it when actually using the board unless you have the wrist rest, which I don't (yet). There is a small inconsistency in the coloring of the halo lighting between Fn and left arrow, but you can only notice it on certain colors like white or yellow. Not sure if its a manufacturing flaw or design issue. Although it bugs me, it's not enough for me to reconsider my purchase seriously.Apparently, there is a app for the keyboard, but its a bit difficult to get working on windows and ultimately isn't very useful for me since I only really use Samsung Dex mode.Battery life seems great, but I charge it every other day so I don't really test it. I love the fact that the bluetooth dongle can be stored in the keyboard itself.Because i'm not a keyboard aficionado, I cannot comment on the ranking of this product versus those from other brands like keychron or whatever, but I definitely don't regret buying this. It makes even boring tasks more enjoyable.
I am a new comer to the mechanical keyboard game and before I placed my pre-order for the Halo65 Ion white with BBKs I had purchased Logitech MX Keys Mini and Logitech MX Keys Mechanical (brown switches) with keypad. I liked the MX Keys Mini more than the MX Mechanical believe it or not, but they both lacked personality which was a deal-breaker. Also, I felt the MX Mechanical with keypad was uncomfortably large (I still rock with the MX Mac Master3 mouse though). Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and everyone who I let type on it has really liked the tactile feel and clean design language NuPhy is known for. Only con for me is the 2.4ghz dongle isn’t the most reliable.
