First off- this appliance is amazing for making high quality baby purees- fruit and veg purees are super smooth. It's fun to use- you simply set it and forget it. The blender is loud though, and suddenly goes off if you chose the 'Auto' mode, which can wake the baby up. It does come off as a cheaper nutribullet product though. Let me explain. I've tried putting boiled chicken in there to blend several times, but the blades are not super sharp so they seem to have a tough time blending. Also, I bought mine maybe 4 months ago, and have used it nearly everyday. Just yesterday, the blender randomly stopped working. It steamed the carrots and sweet potato, but then the blender began, and the blades wouldn't move. I love this steam+blend gadget and will try to get another under warranty, but this is such an annoying hassle.

Boiling water shooting out in kitchen

The steamer lid does not seal appropriately. A massive gap is noticed and water sprays out as pressure builds spraying boiling water across the kitchen. Burning anyone and everyone in range. Pressure causes it to spray upwards to the ceiling. There is no steam that gets into the blender portion.Attempted to reach out and report issue via website but everytime you submit it says error “ {"success":false,"status":400,"error":{"code":400,"message":"ReCaptcha failed","status":401},"errors":["missing-input-response”This is the first time we have used the device and just opened the box this morning. This is a disaster and thankfully the baby and pets weren’t anywhere near the kitchen.

Gave food a plastic taste DO NOT BUY

I bought this a little over a month ago and I was so excited to use it. When I tried to feed my baby her first meal made by this, she gagged. I tried the food and realized that it had a plastic taste to it. I tried cleaning it and making a new batch and food and the same thing happened. When I reached out to customer service they said to make sure to use the correct water ratio, which I did. When I told them that, they stopped responding to me and I have not heard from them since, even though I have reached out. DO NOT BUY! Such a waste of money.

I’m confused and need help

Just bought it yesterday from target. So far only made carrots. Worked great. The user guide isn’t specific when it comes to water and food. Do I have to put water in the work bowl? Or just in the reservoir? Why does it have the time but also ounces to use? It makes it confusing. Also I blended blueberries and apples. I thought you’re supposed to steam everything before blending so that’s what I did and it exploded and got liquid in the motor base and idk how to clean that. So I need help. According to YouTube, you don’t need to steam blueberries. Hard to find videos on how to use this thing so overall, might return it if I can clean the motor base.

I haven't yet tried meat. I like that I can make several servings at once and then freeze some for later days, so baby can eat something different the next day. It has a simple easy to use knob which I like a lot better than the endless-option display screens that a lot of similar devices offer. I do think that the blade base is tricky and a bit time consuming to wash. Its design makes it hard to get bits of food out of the openings. If you want to blend again after defrosting you need to lift up blade and pour out the water that has condensed during steaming, so as not to be blending it into the puree...it would end up way to watery if you didn't. Since the blade has holes it's hard to lift out the defrosted food without losing some. Maybe a separate defrosting bowl that sits on top of the blade would make this easer. For the most part I'm happy with it and am using it regularly.

Absolutely disappointed with this product. I bount it super excited thinking it would make everything easier but after using it 2 times the blade would not turn . My husband checked it and he said it had unglued. I was beyond upset that a product this pricy would break on the second use . I did not want a replacement because I didn’t want to keep such a bad product . Well it turns out they don’t want you to return products because they charged me $20 to send the item for return . It’s obvious they know their product suck otherwise it would be free return . Absolutely don’t record this product or brand to anyone . This little gadget took me by surprise, I really didn’t think it would actually cook foods with just steam. When I made my first batch of applesauce I seriously didn’t think the apple chunks were going to cook, I was more amazed that they not only cooked but were steaming hot. I learned to be patient and let foods cool down after getting a steam burn from taking the container off the Nutribullet too soon. I keep the instructions handy because some foods do need more water to cook properly. Basically, the amount of water put in the chamber determines steam time, some foods I steam then pulse because using the automatic setting produces a very smooth consistency in vegetables and fruits. I liked that the lid could come apart and become a bowl, I put some food in there then put the rest into containers. I ended up using this to process meat too, the jarred ones are often terrible and making my own means it actually gets eaten. A recipe book was included and I have made a few of the recipes, I was pleased that our little one loved everything I made. My favorite part was no longer precooking ingredients in a separate pan, this is a great time saver and it made making my own foods easier.

NutriBullet Baby Steam & Blend is so easy to use and even easier to clean. Most of the items are dishwasher safe which makes it easy to toss it on the top rack. I personally hand wash it but I like the option to put it in the dishwasher to give it a deep clean every now and then. The booklet that it comes with contains some great easy to follow recipes. It also has a guide on how long to steam certain fruits and vegetables. I do wish they included more for other items as the list is very short. I followed the instructions for sweet potatoes and it came out perfect. I love the consistency and that you can choose how you want the consisency to be (firmer for older babies or add some water to make it slightly thinner for younger babies). The only thing I didn't have success with was strawberries. I went the minimal steam time and used the auto steam and blend option, but the puree came out very runny where we couldn't really use it. Next time I'll add more strawberries in hopes it won't be as runny. Other than that, I haven't run into any issues and I love that it does everything in one product so there's less to clean up. I would recommend this to others for sure!

As excited as I was to receive this, I am sorely disappointed in this unit. First, it's big and clunky, takes up too much room, has way too many steps produce food for my little one. This has options for steaming which is done by adding water to the reservoir, turning the dial to steam and wait the required time for the food to finish it's cycle. You then can remove the food to a bowl to feed baby after it cools or put it in a container and freeze for later use. The large blending/ steaming jar and lid is difficult to handle when it has hot food in it even though it has a handle on it. Cleaning, peeling and chopping food into VERY small pieces to steam takes a lot of time. Some pieces still are hard after the process has stopped. Clean up with this unit is a no, you can put some of the pieces into the dishwasher but I prefer to hand wash being careful of the blades in the lid. This review didn't give me the option to post photographs. It is NOT the unit shown on this site. So the options to steam and or blend with the pulse option or let this do it automatically are nice by just turning a dial on the front of the steamer. I don't feel this is saving me time trying to make garden to table food for my little one.
