I can see it without an issue looking diagonally at it on my desk. It’s a full-color display that is easily viewed from most angles.Unfortunately, this 4” display is not a touch screen, so you must navigate using the dedicated hardware key and main function dial. Some of this review was cut & pasted from Guitar Effects World – it was easier to do so rather attempt to reinvent the wheel.Bottom line: the MG30 is well worth the dollars.

Amazing sound quality and ease of use!

I had tried a Boss ME-90 and returned it. I didn’t find any of the presets to be useful and it wasn’t very user friendly. I then tried the NUX MG-300, which was very impressive but limited in its connectivity options and for some reason lacks a power button. You have to unplug it to turn it off. But it impressed me enough to stick with NUX, so I stepped up to the MG-30. After about a 20 minute firmware update I was good to go. A lot of the presets sound great, but are also extremely easy to tweak to your liking. The noise gate also works well, which is great to have. I’m on the fence now as to whether to use this with a combo amp or just get a good FRFR powered speaker. Excellent Modeler Solid Construction

This unit has more than enough variety in Amp Models and Effects to make any sound that's needed in recording today. The build of this unit is very solid, I wouldn't be the least bit worried about taking it gigging anywhere the only worry being someone stealing it. Got it yesterday spent 30minutes updating it's firmware and then a couple of hours in amazement playing thru amp models no glitches or problems at all. The interface is straight forward and intuitive lots of videos on YouTube to help you get used to it going to take time today building patches for my Bass and Acoustic Guitar. This pedal will be a game changer for me Thanks American Musical Supply for the quick Shipment Great sales staff and awesome knowledge. Very Happy with American Musical Supply.

Great versatile multi-effects pedalboard!

I just got this today. I immediately updated the firmware as I had been advised in online forums and the product manual. It was an easy process. This unit comes with a power supply, a foot switch, and a USB-C cable. I originally tried a Boss ME-90 but found it cumbersome to use and the presets largely useless. It also did not come with a power supply. It was nice that it could run on batteries but that's about all I liked. I returned it and got the NUX MG-300, which sounded great, but was lacking in connection options and for some reason has no power button. You have to unplug the power adapter to turn it off. Great, affordable amp modeling and effects for the budget minded musician!

I found myself in the need of a good effects processor and emulator that I could use for guitar and bass. Everyone I know have the expensive Helix’s and such, but I don’t have Helix money. After some research I came scraps some reviews for the MG30, I came away very impressed with the sounds and features. Heck, out even comes with an extra 2 button foot switch, the beloved cable for it, and a USB cable to connect to the computer. It has a very easy to use editor when hooked to the computer and can also be used as an audio interface for use with your DAW. Did I mention it has a looper? It has a 30 second looper with some built on drum rhythms to boot! This is heat fort on the go as you don’t need to have an amp off you don’t need one and it’s great for the home ... MoreI found myself in the need of a good effects processor and emulator that I could use for guitar and bass. Great and sturdy with a large 4 inch color display. I would recommend this to anyone, but especially someone like me who’s on a budget!

It's a great little modeler.

I got because I needed a small light weight but full featured modeler/effects processor I read lots of positive reviews and listened to lots of demo videos through headphones. It really sounds great, the amps are spot on and the IRs too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the manual is pretty (VERY) vague and the Ui is somewhat less than intuitive. I had to rely heavily on YouTube videos to find some tricks to accomplish setup.

Lots of software tweaking

The amp models and IR's are good. The device is loaded with many presets - a few good but not many I found useful. I'm a classic rock/blues/country player, playing for more than 50 years. Many of the presets seemed geared to hard rock or metal. Not my cup of tea. Tried it for a couple weeks but decided to return it. I had two main dislikes: the volume/expression pedal travel wasn't long enough. Also, going all the way down on the volume would change the setting to wah, which I found annoying. I was able to turn that off in global settings, but would rather have it on or off in the preset. The other thing was the constant tweaking and menu diving. My device was version 3.1.something - the firmware updates seemed to be problematic. I did figure out how to create my ... MoreThe amp models and IR's are good. I far prefer my pedalboard. All in all, a cool device but not for me.

Review of Nux MG-30 Multi-Effect Modeler Pedal

Great multi-fx pedal, great IR and amp/cab sims, built like a tank and fantastic value. The other guitarist in the band uses a Helix Stomp and the NUX runs it very, very close. My only minor gripe is that the PSU isn’t the most robust thing ever (it’s on a par with Zoom PSUs) but that’s it. I’d happily gig with this and at this price, could afford to carry a second as a back up unit.So easy to use - I haven’t actually looked at the manual yet, ten minutes prodding and pushing and it’s pretty obvious what does what.

Wow! I am so impressed.

Wow! I am so impressed. I wanted a pedal for my son. He is a natural musician. This has set his creativity on fire the effects are awesome! With the built in drums and looper he was a one man show in minutes. Really impressed! I use more expensive pedals and this was still very impressive . Would consider this brand for future purchases.

excellent modeler at this price

Many options for the price and excellent marshall and mesa amp sounds. The provided IRs for cabs are mostly mediocre but using custom IRs makes a huge difference. Sound quality is like many reviews on youtube. Cleans are stellar and effects are abundant and sound very analog in quality (suprisingly) and without stealing the guitar tone character. Some patches included are okay but you will need to make your own depending on your audio setup. I have tried boss, and zoom multieffect units somewhat close but above this price range that I eventually sold or returned.
