Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse or Multi Purpose Dry Oil 50ml

Well .... I wouldn’t really buy this oil itself, it was as an add-on when shopping on the @lookfantastic page. After receiving it during the winter, I was really looking forward to trying it out and waiting for the warm weather. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed. The first thing I really didn’t like was the smell. I would say very annoyingly and sweet. Reminiscent of chewing gum full of chemistry. The glitters themselves weren’t at all fascinating either, and even when you open the bottle, I think there should be less space to run in the oil, as it only escapes enough as soon as you open the package (maybe just with a mini size). As for the gloss, I really expected a more glowing effect.

I discovered this oil while using the bathroom at a random apartment while on set for an indie film. I got nosey and sniffed the bottle and went home and ordered it not knowing anything about it other than the smell. I use it after every shower. For my face, i pump three squirts into my palm, use a finger to put it on my cheeks closest to my nose where my skin get dry and a little between my brows. Then I just pat the leftovers in my hands on my neck and the ends of my hair. I’ve never had breakouts from it. I was using bio oil before. Nuxe is so much better. After reading reviews here, I’m considering trying other things like nighttime on the face and all over the body, etc.

A surprising treat

I tried this product with some trepidation! At first sniff I disliked the powdery scent - which reminded me of old-fashioned perfume. The sparkles in the bottle worried me too - not really my thing. However, I tried a little of the oil on my hair and happily it didn't glitter or sparkle, but it did impart a subtle, non-greasy gloss to my hair and reduced frizz. The scent was much more subtle in use than I feared and soon dissipated. Buoyed by this I tried it on my (very pale!) arms and again, was rewarded with a subtle sheen, a healthy glow and a lasting softness - again the smell I wasn't so keen on didn't intrude and soon dissipated. Everyday luxury

Nuxe body oil can be used for body, face and hair so it's versatile, but one of the best things about it is the smell! When I use it on my body, I get compliments on my 'new perfume', and both the moisturising effect and the scent last for hours. It's a warm, uplifting floral scent.Despite it being an oil, the spray is incredibly diffused. It's a feather light formula which doesn't feel greasy and absorbs quickly so it's ideal for moisturising your back if there's noone around to help rub it in! You can dress immediately after applying. I use a shampoo bar and no longer need conditioner - now, after I've moisturised my body with Nuxe oil, I just run my hands through my ends, leaving my hair silky soft and smelling amazing. You can also use this oil as a hair mask for deep conditioning.The product is great value because a little goes a long way. Using it every day or two for body and hair, the bottle will last me at least 3 months.The packaging has echoes of an eau de toilette with classic square shaping and gold lid so it looks fittingly glamorous on my dressing table. I wouldn't be without this now, and I feel special every time I use it.

Finally a skin oil that provides a skin barrier to lock in moisture without clogging my pores.I adore this product from France and am SO very grateful that we can buy it here in Canada.This Nuxe Dry Oil Prodigieuse Florale soaks into my skin immediately with just a small amount.I love it because it's better than a cream that deposits a layer on top of my skin.This leaves my skin silky smooth, clean, fresh, not sticky, not shiny. My skin glows.It has a very light pure fresh smell like a light garden breeze in springtime! I keep wanting to sniff my hands to smell the mild natural scent. I absolutely love this product!I found it very light and non oily when sprayed onto the body leaving my skin silky smooth, hydrated and looking radiant. It was very quickly absorbed with minimum rubbing. I didn't have to use much as a little went a long way. Perfect to use after a bath or shower allowing you to dress very soon after applying.I only needed to use a small amount on my face which left my skin looking fresh and healthy.I found it very good on my hair also. I used it as a finishing oil on my Bob hairstyle which makes my hair shiny but not greasy. I have received so many comments on my shiny, glossy hair.I love the smell, very soft, feminine and fresh and definitely not overpowering. Lux Nuxe

I've always had very dry skin but steered clear of an oil as I thought this would be greasy and messy to use - I was wrong! As soon as you take the lid off the inclusion of the botanicals hits you! Not sure what the flowers are but the combination is amazing! It's a spa like scent that urges you to relax!The pump makes it easy to use with no mess at all! 4 pumps per leg and 2 per arm, my skin just drinks it in. There is no greasy residue, it's been absorbed in seconds. My skin feels softer, knees and elbows less dry and lined. My summer staple!

I absolutely love this oil! Comes in an easy to apply bottle with spray top to apply the right amount, no wastage of oil on your hands. It smells lovely and I'm happy to wear that as my fragrance instead of perfume. Quite a grown up fragrance rather than the sweet fragrances on some others. The oil itself feels lovely. It's rich and nourishing but absorbs quickly with no stickiness, just leaving a healthy subtle glow. The shimmer is gorgeous Just the right amount of glitter and seems to create an overall golden glow making my skin look more tanned. Can't recommend this enough!

Perfect for the summer

Upon receiving this Nuxe Shimmering Dry Oil to trial, the first thing I noticed was how beautiful it looked. The whole bottle shimmered and I couldn't wait to try it.I regularly moisturiser my body post showering, but tend to just use a body cream. I have used oils in the past and I have found them to be too oily and they'd leave a residue which meant I couldn't get dressed straight after showering. Immediately upon opening the Nuxe Shimmering Dry Oil I was dubious it would be the same, but it wasn't.The first thing I noticed was how lovely it smelt and I couldn't wait to apply it. It also left a nice shimmer, but admittedly not a very noticeable one.Overall, I really like this product. It is so hydrating and doesn't leave me feeling all oily. The only criticism I have is that I don't think it produces much of a shimmer so I'd probably just buy the regular Nuxe dry oil next time.
