Firstly, I use a egpu (external Graphics Card Unit) when I game because of my personal situation, and I was able to get it up and running within a few minutes. All of my games are amazing compared to my previous card (gtx 960) and I was able to play Battlefield 1/V, Fallout 4/76, Skyrim SE, GTA V, and RDR2 all at 60 fps+ on 4k High/Ultra settings with 1% lies in the low 50s fps at worse (RDR2 during a pretty strenuous scene) and 0.1% lows in the high 40s fps (also in RDR2). But please remember, even with my relatively good egpu set up, it normally gets no more than 80-95% then what you get in desktop, so your milage may very.Thermals: It never got more than 72°C in my 1 hour stress test in unigen heaven with the very quiet stock fan curve that got to no more than 41%. The physical card is simply beautiful and it seems to use all of the metal as a heat sink and (don't touch the card at home, I was just curious for this review) gets quite uncomfortably hot, so don't touch your graphics card while it's in usage even though that should be obvious because it is a computer part. It admittedly warmed up my room by about 1°C with room set at 21°C to 22°C after about 5 hours of continuous usage (along with my 25w laptop and my smaller bedroom, this is an uncontrolled variable but is interesting nontheless). The airflow and cooling for the card is outstanding considering it is a 200w card and is smaller than my evga twin fan edition of my previous gtx 960. Great stuff!Overclocking: With there being quite a bit of thermal head room, I felt confident in the cards ability to I overclock, and I was right. I was able to oc it with the core at 2085 mhz (+150 cc) and it was stable during my 2 hour stress test of me playing GTA V story mode. I was able to get it to 2110 mhz (+175 cc), but it was a tad unstable if it stayed there, and would normally fall back down to 2085 automatically in order to not crash. With the memory clock I was able to get a +1400mhz on the memory and it remained stable and there was no artifacting after that same stress test on GTA V. Ii was able to get about 3%-12% fps performance gains, which is astounding, but the average was more like 6.5-8.5% fps gain. With the stock fan curve and with these overclocking settings, it got to 54% fan speed at 79°C, and with my manual fan speed setting of 72% it sat at 75°C. I would suggest using the auto curve if you are a bit sensitive to noise, but if you're fine with a little bit of fan noise, I would suggest raising the fan speed slightly higher like I did. Overall, it's very impressive from my perspective. Note that overclocking may void manufacturer warranty on some products and may not give same results, so use at your own risk.DLSS and RTX: I really only play one game that uses either that I care to use and that is rtx minecraft which works perfectly at 4k ~55-60fps and looks stunning. It uses DLSS for the performance gains of from what I can tell of about 15-20+ fps to make it go from playable to very useable. DLSS at this point seems to be very a future oriented technology which is nice, because it gives me some more hope that I will be able to use the 3060ti for longer than I would otherwise. But, right now it is still a very impressive technology.Overall: This is a great product for $400 and although a bit more vram would have been nice, for $400 there is no question that this is an absolute buy. Although the review shenanigans that occurred around this launch were quite suspect, this product is still very good and I recommend buying this model or any other 3060ti model if it is under $430. RTX in my eyes is still in it's infancy, but very much a product to be used, and DLSS along with Nvidia broadcast is also amazing. Best Buy pickup was fine and they got it too me a day later than expected, but they brought it out my car within a few minutes when I did go to pick it up. Thanks for my long ramble, and I wish you luck on getting this card, or any card for a good price this holiday season.-HW

I believe I got a defective card, but Ive had the worst time trying to exchange it for another one. The only option Im given is to return it for a $65 restocking fee. Seems sus. This card lags and actually works worse than my previous 1080. Pretty sad. The support on this from best buy is nil. The people Ive talked to on the phone hung up on me twice. The included cables were not compatible. I had to order out for specific cables for the vid card. It comes with a 12 pin port that doesnt work with anything, It does come with an adapter cord but its short & doesnt reach the psu.

Does it’s job well

I have been impressed so far with this GPU. It is able to run most of the games I have thrown at it at a decent fps and on decent graphics quality settings. On several very pretty games I am getting 100+ fps at High to Ultra setting at 1440p and it plays 4K pretty well too, but I get closer to maybe 60-80 fps on Medium settings. All around, it is a very good gpu for anybody upgrading from anything lower than a RTX 2080 Super. As I understand it, it is roughly on par with the RTX 2080 Super. It will have some generational improvements over the RTX 2080 Super as far as ray-tracing goes and maybe power draw, but the fps in non ray-tracing would likely be similar. I was coming from a mobile GTX 1070 so this has been a nice improvement. It runs VR well, as well. I get ... MoreI have been impressed so far with this GPU. It will have some generational improvements over the RTX 2080 Super as far as ray-tracing goes and maybe power draw, but the fps in non ray-tracing would likely be similar. I was coming from a mobile GTX 1070 so this has been a nice improvement. It runs VR well, as well. I get roughly 100-120 fps running high graphics settings on medium intensity VR games with an Valve Index. On titles that put a really heavy load on the GPU, I get dips to about 70-80 fps which is still very playable. Some VR headsets can’t even show higher than 75 fps on their displays. I am very satisfied with this gpu for the purposes I bought it for.The only reason I am giving it a 4/5 rating is it can’t handle anything and everything that you might throw at it at max settings and 4K. For that, you need to get something more expensive, but for most people this gpu is going to serve them. The picture shows it in my Corsair 5000D Airflow case for size comparison.

Feels like a very solid product.

Packaging is gorgeous. It feels like you purchased jewelry! Gpu feels very sturdy and well made. Backplate makes her sit very snuggly in the case without any flex or movement; very solid. 12-pin adapter is a very silly idea and makes for a clunky looking connection. Not very fond of it at all! Performance is fantastic and pretty quiet operation. I cannot hear it behind the noise of my watercooler. Connections on the back are good and having one HDMI port is appreciated, given the rest of them are display ports. Temperatures stay in the low 60s, while heavy operations cause it to climb towards 70°C. Having a price tag of 350usd would have made it golden, but oh, nvidia..

Good GPU at a fair price
22 October 2022

This graphics card was a righteous increase from the NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti it replaced. A must have if you're going to game above 1080P. It's plug and play if you have the internal power supply connectors, the drivers will load from the Geforce Experience no problems. The only caution I would provide is that to game above 1080P you'll also need a CPU and system config to match. Don't expect your 2-3 year-old computer to smoothly run 1440P because the difference in CPU through-put is extreme at 1440P. That said, the RTX 3060 Ti laughs at 1080P if that's the max resolution of your monitor and you'll easily push 200 fps. Changing to 1440P and your fps will drop to more reasonable numbers. YMMV.

Great bang for the buck
26 December 2022

I've had this installed for about a week and a half now, and so far so good. I've mostly been playing Ark at 1080p on "Epic" settings with zero issues. I would have to say that this is probably one of the best Nvidia-based video card values on the market right now. The higher end cards sell at huge premiums for extra power that I REALLY don't even need. In fact, this card is way more than I need. I looked at some older cards (1660's, 20-series cards, etc.) and the price to performance ratios just weren't there. I've waited for over two years for prices and parts availability to allow me to build a new PC without being bent over by the scalpers, and I'm glad I waited.

Probably worth the price, if you can afford MSRP
30 July 2022

My rating would be 5 stars if it were closer to $300 than $400. I do wish GPUs were back to 'normal' pricing, but this 3060Ti at MSRP seemed reasonable enough to get my purchase in June 2022. It's significantly more powerful than the 1050Ti it replaced. Using Passmark benchmarking software, my machine's 3D graphics score was 7500 with the old card and 16400 with this card. I've seen noticeably better performance in the games I play, also. I went with Nvidia because people online claim they see better DirectX9 performance than AMD cards when playing older games.

Very good value at MSRP
14 December 2022

At MSRP I think this card is a very good value. Right out of the box the boost clock was hitting 14% above the published stats and after a couple of hours on iRacing temperature topped out in the lower 70's (c).In comparison tests it is rated to be faster than the RTX 2080 Super that retailed for $699The NVidia RTX 3060ti Founders Edition is compact in size compared to the MSI GTX 1070ti I upgraded from. I like the simple and industrial look. It has what it needs without the oversized fans and RGB, so if bling is your thing an AIB card may be a better choice.
