A beautiful nude that makes you want smore, please! As a Nyx Cosmetics enthusiast, finding this gem in the clearance section at Walmart was a score! A absolutely beautiful nude that makes your lips absolutely glamorous with a little bit of shine. The texture is absolutley smooth on the lip and vert comfortable to wear. It doesn't leave your lips feeling dry but it does transfer so you will most likely have to reapply throughout the day. Another thing with the texture is that it is more of an liquid lippy rather than a gloss, which is great so your hair does not get stuck to your lips. It also does have a very light sweet smell that isn't overly obnoxious. Honestly, the 4 out of 5 stars isn't because it is transferable but the applicator. The applicator is very very ... The applicator is very very weird shaped and makes lining your lips a little complicated. It is very flimsy to the point I am almost scared to apply pressure during the application. Even though I do not like the applicator, I still adore this color and adore this product and do highly recommend it.... Show more

I usually test out a product a few times before reviewing it, but I only needed to use this lip gloss once to confirm its high quality. The shade Cherry Cola is absolutely gorgeous... very bold and vampy. The formula is smooth and super easy to apply to the lips. It smells exactly like cherry cola, but the scent fades shortly after applying it. Since this is a gloss, I didn't expect it to last very long. I decided to wear it to a buffet anyway because of the beautiful shade. I ate like crazy, drank a pina colada, socialised.... for 5 hours! And my lip gloss looked great all night long!!! Of course it dried down after an hour or two, but it became a pretty stain that only started drying out my lips towards the end of the night. I put lip balm on top, and it looked ... Would recommend :)... Show more

Can't stand this
This lip gloss is an absolute disaster, but I think it's the disaster everyone deserves. After everyone and their mother being super obsessed with lip glosses not being too "thick" or "sticky," this is what companies are going to come out with-something so thin and watery that it moves all over the place. When you first put it on, it's amazing. Opaque, rich color, incredibly high shine. But God help you if you accidentally touch your lips together, because it is slippery, thin, and wet, and will move all over the place. I never get lipstick or gloss on my teeth UNLESS I'm wearing this one. Then it's a guarantee. And within 5 minutes-5!-it will have already mostly faded and begun to feather out all around your lips. It also settles into the fine lines on your lips, which I can barely believe is possible for a lip gloss. It's hideous.I am usually a HUGE fan of NYX lip products and am trying the Butter Gloss next. I can't believe this one was such a miss. I can't believe there are so many positive reviews, but I guess everyone is just so glad it's not "thick" or "sticky" that they automatically give it 5 stars without even doing a basic 10-minute wear test. Here's a pro tip: if you want a lip gloss that lasts and stays on your lips, it needs to be "thick" and "sticky." If you can't handle that, stick to lipstick.... Show more

Disappointing
These were so beautiful when swatched, I bought 3 shades: Watermelon Kiss (pink), Jawbreaker (warm red), and Single Serving (cool red). At first application they are *gorgeous*: comfortable, hydrating-feeling, glossy, opaque...they're great. But then it goes downhill. The gloss starts to fade, and it leaves behind a bit of a stain, which is nice and looks quite natural. Since they bleed a bit it almost looks like you've been eating fruit. It's cute in its own way, but nothing like what you expected. But then....after an hour of wearing this...your lips are SO dry. Desert dry. It feels as though you've been wearing a super matte lipstick, but nope! It's "candy slick". And slick they are: despite your lips feeling like the Sahara, they are still wet to the touch. ... Transfer with this is insane.I think to make these bearable, I will blot them and wear either a balm or moisturizing lipstick over them. The staining ability of them is nice. I'd even be able to tolerate the transferring if they were moisturizing. But they manage to be wet and drying at the same time: quite the paradox.... Show more

Great MLBB color, poor formulation
This product is drying for a gloss and also has a smell during application. The smell is not unbearable and goes away after a few minutes, but it's not a great smell like the NYX butter glosses. Once on the lips it has a tingling sensation, but it's not pleasant like the Buxom lip polishes. As someone who likes the plumping sensation, it's like a lip plumper gone wrong, more numbing and uncomfortable than cooling and tingly. Something went wrong with the formula. Bottom line, I wouldn't bother with the product at all unless you love a certain color like me. My work around for the unpleasant tingling and dryness of the formula is to use a balm underneath, particularly the Burt's Bee's peppermint balm which also tingles, to mask the numbing of the gloss. It's Cute but...
I'll start off by saying that the packaging is appealing and the actual product has a slight watermelon scent to it. Which doesn't bother me any. The shade Sugar Coated Kiss, is a very pretty but subtle on the lips. The formula itself goes on very wet and I find theres a slight tingling feeling, just for a few seconds. Nothing crazy or harsh but noticeable. It's a bit sticky once applied, and it doesn't last very long at all. So if you don't mind reapplying throughout the day, by all means give it a go. I actually found myself wearing this on it's own or even pairing this with the NYX Lip Lingerie Shimmer in the shade Bare With Me (on top). I found it helped the lasting power just a bit more. Would I recommend this product? Yes, but maybe pick it up when it's on ... MoreI'll start off by saying that the packaging is appealing and the actual product has a slight watermelon scent to it. Leaking and staining everything, but otherwise okay
As a product, it was great! Instead of using it like how they show it in the ads, I use a very small amount and use it as a lip tint/stain. And it works really work like that! I like how it "fades" and such. I have the color "Sweet Stash" and using just a little bit, it makes a very nice color that looks fresh and natural looking (even though it was designed to be bold, but I liked using it like that). The biggest problem was how the bottle kept leaking. I don't know why, but there was always product leaking from the cap, so I can't put it near my other cosmetics. I put it on a separate table and wipe up the excess that it leaves. It's extremely inconvenient, and because of that, it's not very portable. But seeing other reviews, I don't see many people having ... MoreAs a product, it was great! Light and moisturizing! #freeproduct
I got this as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox. I spent a long time debating between "sugarcoated kiss" and "cream bee", as I love natural colours! I finally settled on sugar-coated kiss, and I love it! While it's not particularly dramatic, it does give your lips a nice finish, and you can definitely later it on top of other lippies for an added effect. It has a refreshing minty feeling when you first apply it. It applies evenly with no streaking, and is definitely very moisturizing! This lip gloss has a straight applicator, and I love how cute the packaging is! Overall I really enjoyed this product, and will definitely purchase the other shades! #ad... Show more

Love it
This lip gloss is like a hybrid between gloss and lipstick. It goes on really smooth like gloss, but it feels and looks a bit like lipstick once it is dry. I put it on then dab it with my finger to tone the shine down a little, and it looks great! I also like the applicator a lot, it makes it easy to apply. I'm not a person with a lot of makeup experience and I could do this successfully, so that's also something! Obviously there are some cool colors here and they would be great for going out, but I think the lighter more natural colors are perfect for casual wear. I wear it to work and have gotten a lot of compliments! You do have to reapply it occasionally, but I think that depends on the person. New fave, read this review before buying!
I have Sugarcoated Kiss (light milky pink) & Sweet Stash (bright orange-red). I want to be thorough (hence the hella long review) since I think these are misunderstood! Also the 2 shades are very different and wear much differently. These are a godsend for me but you have to work with them. If applied correctly you'll get smooth dewy tinted lips. They DO have some patchiness & they DO have a tingle. I start with the inner part of my lips and work the color in with a finger until every nook & cranny is saturated. Eventually it all smooths out & sinks into any lines to create a smooth dewy glowy look. They are def sheer but can be built up for sure. Texture is slick but not oily, there's no scent I can detect & the "tingle" is more of a weird cooling feeling - I ... Texture is slick but not oily, there's no scent I can detect & the "tingle" is more of a weird cooling feeling - I don't think it technically stains your lips but it does redden them.SK is very light & I have pigmented lips, so the reddening factor kind of negates the light milky color. It turns my lips a smooth rosy pink on its own (almost like I'm wearing lip primer) BUT if I layer w/ other products I can get lots of pretty looks. The texture smooths hard to work with mattes without dissolving them entirely like a lot of traditional glosses. Layering extends wear time for SK, it does fade much more quickly than the brighter shade.SS is a fun bright orange-red that's sheer & melds with lips so it's also super wearable. It has much better staying power & color stays truer. I love it because it's a 100% low maintenance way to wear a bright lip. Tbh it looks like your lips are actually that color, that's how good the texture is once it sinks in.I love these because I have "wrinkly" lips that can't tolerate most liquid lipsticks/mattes & they smooth them out nicely & are super easy to wear after I do the initial work of applying. I wouldn't try these if you have sensitive lips (tingle), need something crazy long lasting, or even if you want a traditional gloss, because I wouldn't call them shiny, just dewy.... Show more
