NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP HD Blush, Double Dare

I needed something I thought would be so simple, orange eyeshadow for a costume. Not an entire palette, just orange. I looked in stores and at so many online websites looking for just a bright orange eyeshadow. Every single time, it was a whole palette or just a natural orange. Finally I found NYX eyeshadow that had many bright colors and exact bright orange color. I painted it all over my body and not only did it blend well, but it stayed put all day in the hot sun. Unbelievable. And there’s still a lot more in the compact to use again! It’s a good size for only $5!Thank you Walmart, you’ve done it again. Your prices seem to hardly ever be beat.

This is THE most awesome powder foundation I have used. Apply dry. There is no vent for a wet sponge to sit and air dry as you usually find with power foundations. The sponge that comes in the compact easily allows you to work with a light or heavy touch, whatever suits you. As other reviewers have said, it does an awesome job of toning down facial redness. Also works spot applied on mild blemishes and such that you might normally use a concealer for (though not under eyes). Again, as already mentioned here in reviews, I can agree that it initially might appear a wee bit too powdery however it quickly wears down to undetectable but medium, even coverage. This blush applies evenly, not patchy, (which I look for in a blush) and really would look amazing on any skin tone from the fairest of fair to darkest of dark skin tones. Holy crap this is pigmented I remember trying it about a year or two ago and I think I still have the blush sitting around somewhere as such a little amount goes such a long way. It is a nice blush, but I suggest using a very light brush as you don’t want to pick up too much product . They have a really nice colour variety to choose from.

You can use them for a variety of ways, like blush (duh), contour (the shade taupe is a cult classic for a fabulous pale contour shade), highlight and anything else you can think of. They last a long time without fading which is great for a blush, nothing worse than looking great but having your blush fade 1 hour after you leave your house. The packaging is small and sleek, Doesn't take up a bunch of room. They are pigmented but not too pigmented to the point where you have to be very careful applying them so you don't end up looking like a clown and having to go back in and try to take it down (I hate that. If you've never tried any I highly recommend at least trying one so you can fall in love like I did. My one thing about them that I didn't give it a 5 star is that I tend to chip or break my nails opening up the little package and if you drop them, they always break. I've managed to shatter quite a few of them where as other compacts have taken the same fall but not broken. This is me being nit picky, I really have nothing bad to say about the product at all. After using NARS Exhibit A for years and finally hitting pan on it, I was on the hunt for a cruelty free alternative and I found it in the Nyx HD Blush in Crimson. In the pan, its a shocking orange based tomato red. Applied with a very light hand and blended out on the apples of the cheeks, this color gives me the exact look that I want. I've also used this blush on various clients when I'm doing wedding makeup, and I love it across the board. On fair skin tones, it gives that Snow White look that I mentioned above, and it gives a healthy apricot glow to deeper, richer skin tones. The formula is good and it plays nicely with all the foundations and sunscreens that I've paired it with. It's a powdery formula so you can expect it to kick up some powder, and tap your brush off before applying it. For me, this isn't a deal breaker. I see where other users experienced breakouts from this blush, but luckily that hasn't happened to me, and my finicky, sensitive skin hasn't been affected by reaching for this nearly every day.One thing that surprised me is how long this blush stays on the skin. For me, this formula will actually stay put (if applied over foundation or mineral powder) for a good six or seven hours. It actually stays put on my skin longer than NARS or my trusty old MAC blushes, though your mileage may vary of course. I'm impressed with this formula and I might try a few more shades. The blush retails at Ulta and Walgreens for less than six dollars so it's worth trying.

Though the range the brand rather big, has cream, is baked or even in the form of mousse. However in reality I was waited by a surprise. Favorite Contour Shade (Taupe)

I purchased the shades Taupe and Intuition last summer. Intuition immediately caught my eye to create a beautiful summer flush of color. The color is a lovely pink and the sparkle isn't gritty or chunky. This blush is very pigmented so a little goes a long way, I recommend using a light hand when applying for a less dramatic finish. The color Taupe has become my favorite contour shade. I am quite fair skinned with cooler undertones so finding a contour that looks natural was somewhat difficult until I found Taupe. Overall, the blushes blend nicely with excellent color payoff. I feel they have a good amount of product, especially for the price. I have been using Taupe at least several times a week since purchase and still have a lot of product left. The one downside ... MoreI purchased the shades Taupe and Intuition last summer. I have bought this blush several times and absolutely love it. I don't say that about many products because like most females, we are always looking for the next best product. This has a great pigment that transitions from day to night and still looks fantastic. I think the fact that it's HD helps the color pop. I personally love the color "Summer". I work long hours at work. The fact that it will still be on after my 15 hour work day says everything. I do have drier skin so that may help it stay on. I don't want you to discontinue this blush. I went to 3 different brand name stores today and no one carried this style which makes me believe since it's on sale, this is what you are doing.
