After months of seeing this contraption, I finally bit the bullet and bought one. Can I just say, I love it. lol I really wish I bought it sooner. The pedal mechanism works well and I cleaned my entire my house in under 15 mins. It’s also satisfying to pour out all that dirty disgusting water after knowing your floor in your house is clean! I haven’t tried taking the mop head off yet and throwing that in the washing machine but I did read that you can do that, so the mop head is reusable. Either way, for the price, I’m happy and I feel like my floors are actually getting clean.... Show more

I put mild floor cleaner in the water and wet my mop. What I found was 3 presses with your foot on the peddle to wring out the mop left the mop just damp on the drier side and 2 presses on the foot peddle for me was just the perfect wetness for mopping. The mop head is nice and fluffy, but if you don't center the mop handle in center of mop head before mopping the plastic may scrape a bit. I absolutely loved this mop. No rinse water but hey you can remop your floor again with clean water if your floor or the wash water is really dirty. I actually felt like I had cleaned my floor well when I was done. Because its so easy to rinse your mop out, I found I was doing that frequently vs how I used to wring a mop head by hand. I would wring it out just a few times, as was so hard vs using this mop is so easy to wring out, so I did that frequently. Only complaint I have after using this one time on a 2000 sq ft house is that the mop handle is too short. Either that or I don't know how to get is all the way out. The handle says it expands to 48 inches but I only got it out to 39 1/2 inches including the mop head, and mopped my floor with it like that.... Show more

Flashy advertising for a horrible product
8 December 2022
I had seen this mop all over TikTok and wanted one for a while. I finally bought one for about $40, couldn't wait to use it and was immediately disappointed. The handle wouldn't stay locked, it kept telescoping which was very frustrating. The next thing I noticed was that when you push forward on the mop, it functions like a mop should. On the backwards motion, the plastic base of the mop that the mophead attaches to just scrapes along the floor. I don't think the fabric of the mop was even touching the floor at all, it almost flips upside down so that only plastic is dragging along the floor. I mopped about 1/8 of my apartment before I had to stop. I cant put myself or my downstairs neighbor through that every time I mop. I bought this mop to help with cleaning my floors. I have vinyl, laminate. And hardwood throughout my house (split level), and taking care of the floors can be a hassle. I was first impressed with the mop head softness, but that proved to be fleeting. The soin feature is helpful in wringing out the mop, but if your bucket has too much water in it, it will not wring correctly. I have to carry the mop up and downstairs, and when carrying it, it does not stay level. It tilts, making it an inevitable spill hazard. And it was not titling towards the side with the spin mechanism, which I could maybe expect. It was tilting towards the open side, leaving no obstruction for the water to spill. I mopped 3 rooms and 2 hallways, changing the water once in-between, and the mop ... MoreI bought this mop to help with cleaning my floors. I have vinyl, laminate. Moping with a rag full of ramen noodles

I was hoping this would do good, since it is advertised it can be used on multiple floors. I bought it in person in store. For all things good and holy, DO NOT use this on wood floors or near wood. I followed instructions to a T and the amount of water that is still on this thing is just disgusting. Might as well dip a huge car washing sponge in a bucket and bush down in it over your floors. No matter how much I tried to make sure all the water was "rung" out, it still has an insane about of water on it. Glad I tested it on my tile floors first. Is it worth the 35 and come change. NO. The bucket itself is maybe worth near 20 but the actual mop is trash. I got the exact mop as displayed on this image and the image on the box shows someone using this on wood floor. ... MoreI was hoping this would do good, since it is advertised it can be used on multiple floors. You will damage your wood floor unless you have kids on their knees running towels directly after you.The mop itself would probably work best as a car washing utensil. Soap it up and squeegee it across the outside. Other than that its useless. Also im 5'4 and I extended the mop stick "as instructed with the pictures on the box" and the mop reached my belly button. So for me to use it on my tile floors I had to be bent over in an absurd manner, hurting my back. So if you are 5 foot or taller, this is going to be a pain to use. Feels like this is a kids toy sold at adult prices.Maybe you can use it to clean concrete porch outside but it will definitely leave enough water for you to slip, fall and hurt yourself. If you use it on tile floor make sure elderly or kids are not going to talk on it after, cause it will be wet for a while and I used very very hot steaming water when I did mine, and water sat longer then when i used my squeegee mop I could pull a button back on and squeeze out the water. Dont waste you time on this, I promise you and squeegee mop is way better, less work and they are longer in height.2 stars for the bucket and the box made a nice temp play house for my cat.... This is my second unit. I love how light weight the mop and bucket are. The handle makes it easy to grip and carry even when water is in. We mop floors in our house daily multiple times because of our pets. The mop head itself dosent spin independently of the handle, you have to lightly hold the handle while you step on the pedal. It’s better this way because there are less moving pieces that could break if the mop head did spin independently of the handle. The pedal makes it so easy to spin out the excess water, usually 2 pumps and your good to go.The only con I can think of is the fact that the pedal got stuck/rusted? To mop, or not to mop? That is the question...

This review is my own opinion. I was not paid to write this review:Overall when looking at the O'Cedar brand, it is very reliable...to an extent. I have purchased this product, around 1 per year. To look at the functionality of the complete system being offered, allows the consumer a better experience at a better value. O'Cedar throws in the 3 extra mopheads, which is nice for the bundle, but they are not the issue. The extendable, telescopic handle allows the consumer a luxury of 3 different heights, based upon user's preference. There is a tendency to "pop" or pull the mop handle out of the plastic joint, which holds this to the mophead snap portion. I have not had a real issue with this breaking. The cotton mopheads are nice, wring out easily in the spin functionality. I always ensure to wash these separate from my regular whites to ensure that whatever bacteria is trapped within the fibers, are gone. I also combine a little oxi-clean to the wash to help sanitize the mopheads. I let them airdry versus throwing them in the dryer. Do what you prefer.A con to the mopheads are, since they are cotton, the fibers have a tendency to catch onto other debris, that is just annoying, at most, to pick out of the mop. I replace my mopheads once a week due to a consistent use for dog accidents. The mop bucket design feature is nice. The accessibility of the bucket handle rests towards the back portion. The handle, in itself, is not too bulky, and the layered plastic design allows for a better reinforcement when exchanging out the mop water. If the mop bucket is not cleaned out regularly, the residue from the dirty water builds up, like any other mop bucket left over time, allowing for the transfer of old dirt into, what is supposed to be clean mop water. But the reliability factor of the functionality of the foot pedal for easier wringing of the mophead is a failed design. After a few months of consistent use from cleaning up accidents/ mud/ chores, the gear mechanism tends to fail, starting with a slight grinding from the plastic gears when you depress the foot pedal.Overtime, I understand that plastic wears with every depression on the foot pedal, but the issue lies in the irritating constant grinding when needing to wring out the mop. Then, the gears begin to wear even more, allowing for the spin function to "skip" a spin cycle when you depress the foot pedal, making you work extra to wring out the mop.Overall, the product is rated at 2 stars for functionality. I would recommend this product for individuals who do not use the mop in such a consistent manner as I do. I feel that my experinece is geared more towards a small business aspect of foot traffic, versus a personal dwellings foot traffic. I feelike my overall scenario does not require a more industrial mop nor mop bucket, but a better design in the mop bucket gear functionality.I will continue to purchase O'Cedar, and continue to research their brands to see what they offer for an industrial aspect.... Very disappointed in the bucket system 😢
3 May 2023
I had higher hopes for this. The mop itself is the only reason I am giving this system 3⭐️stars. I really like the mop handle and the fluffy part that goes on the floor. It does not leave any kind of fibers behind and does a great job at cleaning up dust, dirt, and sticky stuff. I was so excited to be able to use the bucket and the pedal to get the water out and what a disappointment. I am disabled after several back surgeries, and it hurts to bend over to ring out mop water. It does work if you have a very light foot and sit and lightly press the pedal over and over and over and over and over and hold mop loose because if you put too much pressure on on pedal or mop itself: it’s skips and sounds like it’s going to strip the gears on the wringing system. I want this to last, so I’m being extremely careful with it, but it’s taking longer than my old one because of that. I was really hoping for more because of the social media hype.I would not purchase this again, and I am going to be looking for a different system.... Show more
