Oakley Flak 2.0 XL Sunglasses

I needed a pair of sunglasses for full sun days in the summer/sunny winter days with snow. I have had this pair for a week and wear them daily since it's summer. They are great. With my previous pair (made for more overcast days) I found myself still squinting when I was in the sun. With these, they block enough sun that my eyes are relaxed. I decided to spring for the prism and polarized lenses this time. My other two pairs are just prism. They cost a little more, but totally worth it! I am quite pleased with their summer performance. I can't wait to test them this winter on a sunny day with snow on the ground.

Enhanced visual

These are hands down the best glasses for the golf course that I’ve ever seen. The lenses actually highlight the ball to the point that it looks like it’s glowing. They are so lightweight that you don’t even feel them at all. The arms grip the side of your cap and don’t even touch your ears. They stay put when you swing regardless of how hard. The interchangeable nose pads grip your nose softly and don’t slide down your nose when you sweat. I balked at the price at first but once I tried them on I fell in love. Worth every penny. They have a nice strong zipper case with inner cloth sack so you can throw them in the golf bag afterwards and not worry about damage or loss. Excellent RX Lenses

I recently had eye surgery and went from a strong far-sighted RX to a modest near-sighted (+progressive) RX and decided to skip the contacts and take the plunge and go with RX cycling glasses. Its definitely something I'd do again.The Oakley RX lenses are excellent with very good clarity and a very well placed progressive that making switching from distance to near vision very natural.After discussing with the Sport RX tech, I went with the regular golf Prizm lens. I find into be a good all-rounder and effective in most conditions when road-riding. As one would expect, it's a bit light when the sun is low and in your eyes but I've found it to offer good visibility in heavy shade and even works well on wooded MTB trails—so I'll take it. They look good—though I do think they are due for an update that matches the larger/more coverage and simpler lines of more recent trends in sport frames. They are quite comfortable but compared to the Radar and Radar EV they are not quite as snug along the temples and therefore occasionally slip down my (bony) nose—but those shield designs don't offer the cleaner RX solution so it's a minor issue and tradeoff I'll take.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend any cyclists considering switching from contacts to work with Sport RX.

I'm a female, have a relatively small face but have been wearing my boyfriend's Oakleys for years and finally beat them up enough to get new ones. I tried these on in a sunglass hut and they were full price there ($244)- I didn't want to stick around to see what kind of "deal" they sales guy could get me once he saw me googling these. I went online, saw this website had the exact glasses I wanted for almost $100 less, and ordered!They just arrived exactly as advertised, exactly as I tried them on in the sunglass hut store. Glasses did not work out but very positive experience with Sportx

The Oakley Flak is generally a great style and frame for active, outdoor people. I ordered a pair of Oakley Flak Rx transitions with all the bells and whistles... seamless bi-focal, chromatic transition, etc. Unfortunately after years of wearing Oakley M Frame Strikes, and several weeks of testing the Flaks, I found the Flaks to be lacking clear peripheral vision due to the (overly) thick frame style. The bi-focal lens was very disorienting when out hiking on uneven trails and terrain. Looking up and down through the lenses was almost vertigo-inducing. Great purchase from EZcontacts!

I bought these same Oakley sunglasses (supposedly) about 4 years ago on Amazon. Not sure who the seller was, but they were not authentic Oakley's. So when I ordered these from EZcontacts I was a little skeptical, especially since the price was so good. But these are the real deal! Unlike the pair I bought on Amazon, these were packaged nicely in a genuine Oakley case with a wipe cloth, cleaning solution and information from Oakley. They fit perfect, feel great and look good.

My experience with the Flak 2.0 XL

I purchased these Oakleys specifically for the Prizm lenses. I had a pair before that brought amazing color and contrast in my vision. Unfortunately I lost those glasses about 3 years ago. Finally bought another pair with Prizm and sad to say that I am disappointed in the color contrast and the view through these lenses. Was expecting much more color to pop, particularly in the red spectrum that I'm not getting. I was on the verge of returning them, but decided to just keep them as I'm tired of searching for a quality pair of glasses. If I happen to loose these, I think I'll not go with Oakley again.

I purchased these glasses for hiking and cycling. I looked at other brands that had interchangeable lens but could not imagine stopping to change lens each time I went in/out of the forest. Having the Photochromic lens seemed like a more practical option. I’ve used these for a month in winter/snow/sun conditions and they are solid performers. I have a large/wide head and was pleased that these glasses flexed at the nose piece and are comfortable. In sun/snow I was surprised at how nice and crisp the blues / reds “popped”. They also provide enhanced contrast (ie when looking at clouds). They provide reasonably good protection from wind/sleet/snow and don’t seem to fog up. These are a replacement pair of Oakley Flak as I lost my others on holidayAfter spending ages looking at other ones in shops and online I couldn’t see any better ones.They are comfortable, don’t slip, great vision while keeping the glare out . I use for hiking, running, cycling and have used jet skiing, paddle boarding. Just excellent.My son wanted some sunglasses for his birthday and also couldn’t find any better ones.Oh and they look great too

Wrong color lens sent/advertised

I’ve been trying to find the “24k prism polarized” lenses for a long time now and thought I finally found them with this company. The item on their website is listed as the lens I wanted, and the box it came in stated this to be true, but I actually received the “Rose Gold” lenses. I took them to the local Oakley Vault to confirm that they are the exact same lens I already had that is the “Rose Gold”, and the guy there confirmed 100% that I got “Rose Gold”, NOT “24k”. He confirmed that the box states and scans as “24k”, but the product had been switched out on both sets I purchased in my excitement. I’m definitely not happy, but I’ll keep them so I don’t have to deal with a return and the refund processes.
