The Oakley Frogskins Origins Collections in Sapphire/Prizm Sapphire Impact Protection Lenses Oakley lenses designed and tested under extreme high mass and high velocity circumstances to ensure uncompromising protection across a wide range of demanding conditions. Connecting the past with the future, the Origins Collection draws inspiration from our celebrated M-Frame. The collection takes color combinations from the iconic style and pairs them with Prizm Lens Technology. In pop culture, it was a time like no other. Ronald Reagan was in the White House, The Terminator was in the box office and Run DMC was in certified gold. It was also the time when Oakley created one-of-a-kind sunglasses called Frogskins. Oakley resurrected the original tooling from the '80s giving you a chance to own a piece of history.

Title says "Men's" but they are unisex and I am a woman who has purchased her 3rd pair due to loss and damage of previous pairs. I love the peacock coloured lenses and
these have become my signature sunglasses. I have received many compliments when wearing them. Oakley has always given me very speedy 3-4 day delivery which
pleases and amazes me. I would highly recommend Oakley and Frogskins to whomever would appreciate it. They are somewhat pricey but still worth it.

I haven't had Frogskins in many many years and wanted some everyday glasses with Prizm lenses. I have Prizm lenses in my bike glasses and they are incredible, making me
want the Frogskins for every day.I've had these for about two weeks are really like them. Lots of compliments too. The glasses are very comfortable and the lens is excellent -
very sharp colors & contrast and not too dark which I don't care for. Mine are polished black frames with the Black Prizm lenses which do have a slight reflectiveness to them,
but not like other Oakley lenses where it's really pronounced. They are sized "XL" but they are still on the medium size in my opinion. Not as large as the other br... Show more

Saw the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals wearing these on television a few weeks back and they really grabbed my attention. I was looking for a pair of sunglasses for
special occasions and I thought these would fit the bill. I was not disappointed. I had transition lenses installed. The price was not as bad as I thought. Very competitive
actually. They turned out great and I am extremely pleased with my purchase and my new "look" for those times when I want to look especially sharp.

I love the Frogskins, but...
7 August 2019
I've been wearing Oakleys for a long time and have owned probably half a dozen pairs of Frogskins, among goggles and other frames. They are still very light, very tough, and very stylish. However, I bought a pair of custom Frogskins recently in the tortoise brown and discovered the pattern is some kind of hydro dip applique rather than my old LX's blended acrylic (I think it's acrylic, anyway). The new surface level pattern "wrap" is superficial, and put simply, cheap looking. Luckily the Prizm Tungsten lenses are great, like the other Prizm I've tried (black, trail). Regardless, I am quite disappointed to see these slip in quality and take a cheap shortcut for a finish.... Show more

Love the Look...Not Worth the Purchase Price
19 June 2023
Love the look of the Frogskins. They are very lightweight (which is good). However, the plastic frames are flimsy and there are rough edges around the frame edges left from the manufacturing process. Great look but not worth the purchase price. Not a good value.... Show more

Nostalgic Sunglasses

These are a near match to my first pair of legit sunglasses back in 1990 when I was in high school. The style is the same but the lenses are a great upgrade. The Prizm lenses really accentuate the colors out in the world. I’ve been wearing the now discontinued XX’s for over 15 years and, while I love them, the polarized lenses are hard to wear in lower light conditions, especially when driving. These Prizm lenses on the Frogskins are great for not only bright sun but also those lower light conditions.... Show more

No tears at high speed!

Here’s something people may not expect to know about Frogskins. My eyes have always teared up less with my Frogskins than any of my other Oakleys including M Frames with the big heaters lenses (both hinged and rigid frames), XL Jackets, Thumps, Gen 2 Frogskins, and other casuals. M Frames are perfect on mtb or road bike, but above about 40 mph, Frogskins out perform wrap around lenses. I think it’s the tighter fit around eyebrow/nose bridge/cheek that keeps air out. Goggles are my norm, but I’ve been skiing (fast) in Frogskins since 1988, especially in the spring. I miss the pre-helmet years wearing Frogskins with croakies and goggles backwards on headband. Sometimes a company’s first product is still their best. So glad you guys keep these in production.... Show more

Only ‘XL’ Frogskins are available for purchase.
30 June 2023
The only size available for the Frogskins online was XL (55/17/139), but they didn’t make that clear when purchasing. So I had to return the glasses. I even went to check a couple stores around me that carried Oakley. They both only had XL Frogskins as well. Not sure why it’s so hard to find regular sized (55/17/133) Frogskins these days. Just a few years ago they were easy to find.... Show more

Order your own prescription sunglasses
14 October 2022
Cut out the middle man. This is the best prescription sunglasses I have. I have always worn these sunglasses with and without prescription but this pair is the best buy far. I usually order through eye Dr but it was so easy to order with my script and the shipping was super fast. Much faster than expected.... Show more

Reissue/Update of a Genuine Classic.

Let me start by saying that these were my favorite sunglasses in the 90s, and when I had LASIK surgery I was very stoked to find out that Oakley had reissued them. The Good: They seem to be even sturdier than the originals. The new Prism lenses are very clear and sharp. The overall profile of the sunglasses is similar to the original Frogskins. Oakley offers replacement lenses for these sunglasses. The Bad: They are not exactly the same in either shape or in size as the originals. The reissues are bigger both horizontally and vertically. This is why Oakley now offers what they call "Asian Profile" Frogskins. The "Asian Profile" is actually much closer to the original size of Frogskins from the 90s.On the whole, they seem to be very solidly built and the style is ... MoreLet me start by saying that these were my favorite sunglasses in the 90s, and when I had LASIK surgery I was very stoked to find out that Oakley had reissued them. The Good: They seem to be even sturdier than the originals. They are very expensive, but the build quality is quite high, and when you factor in the replacement leses that are offered, I feel they are worth the money.... Show more
