Oakley Kato Sunglasses

The quality is top notch and it's the real item. The item matched the description perfectly. I just told the seller the color of sunglasses that I wanted and I received a message quickly. The item shipped quickly and the packaging was very good. Definitely met out expectations. My husband really like the sunglasses so we ordered another color as well.

Excellent Glasses

After foolishly purchasing another pair that did not fit me well, I used Oakley’s face scanning tool which recommended these and the fit is perfect (I was initially a little suspicious of it as well because I have a fairly big head but some of the other fits being recommend were youth glasses, but trust the tool!)Everything about the glasses is excellent. Oakley lenses are amazing to look through. I wear these primarily while running and they always feel secure (zero bounce/wiggle/sliding).Highly recommend!

Great design with some flaws

I just recently purchased these and they fit and feel great. I love the aesthetic but the design does have me worried about the longeivity of the product. The point where the lens’s meet the hinges has a lot of give. They flex with a slight budge of a touch, they don’t feel as solid as other models.I reached out to customer care and they gave me the same exact reply of “innovative design” as the response I’ve seen in the other review. They said I can can warranty the product if I believe it’s defective.It’s a tough pill to swallow for such a high price tag. Unsure if this is normal but it doesn’t unsure the most confidence in this model or the Kato X.

Stylish and Functional with a Great Fit

I've been training outdoors, running the trails, and hiking a lot recently and decided I needed a more dedicated outdoor sunglasses instead of the "normal" type used for driving and casual use. I considered a variety from Oakley as well as other brands and the Kato really stood out. It looks futuristic but still exudes classy style. The lens quality is excellent and the adjustability for a custom fit really takes these sunglasses to another level. I'm very happy with it and I expect to wear these for a long time to come.

Superb protective coverage if bit spendy

Great design for cyclist to prevent object impact while maintaining excellent ventilation, wide field of view, and lens clarity. The wrap around as well as the unbroken lens across the nose bridge closes the lens gaps that allowed particles and objects becoming a problem. The high forehead coverage and lower/longer lens height improves airflow vertically as well as horizontally to protect the rider. Adjustable temple angel offers improved ergonomic fit options. Improvements could be in lens replacement and bridge mounting options.

Value Really??

The glasses are very well made,..as almost all of Oakleys line. I've been an Oakley fan and user for years. My only real issue is pricing. They just cost too much!!! No way should these be anywhere near the $300.00 range, or the $249.00 I paid. But I really liked this design and pulled the trigger. I do believe in free enterprise and quality and equitable pricing. But this is going beyond the pale. At the most extreme, $149.00-$179.00 is where these should retail for. Oakley would most certainly sell M O R E !!, still make a great profit and their demographic buyer would significantly increase. I mean,....C'mon Man !!!

Yet Another Awesome Oakley Product!

I was skeptical ordering a set of Katos, especially at MSRP and having an Asian Fit face type. I’m glad I YOLO’d and bought these anyway. With three different bridge pieces, it was easy to find a great fit for my face. I love the wide view, and the 24K makes these great for the bright outdoors. I mostly wear mine while driving or cycling, but as the 2020 Olympians have shown us, these are perfect for many various sports as well. I’m definitely considering obtaining alternate Katos for the different lens technologies.

You can raise them up, not lower them.

I like these glasses/this shield a lot. They look funky (but I like "different") and are super light. Perhaps a product of their lightweight, they feel somewhat fragile. I was expecting that the arm hinges would allow me to bring the bottom closer to my face, but they're set up to bring the top closer to your forehead. Also, the nose pad is really big and visible while wearing them. I thought they would fit closer to my face, but it is more accurate to say they designed to fit closer to your forehead, not your cheeks. Consider that they ship with the lens in the down most position. Adjusting the arms tilts the lens UP. Also, they ship with the lowest nose piece installed. good style but frames need work

Right away I'll say these are great looking glasses. love the new design. my only issues are the "Rake" system. to sit on my face properly I need both arms in the top spot. when the rake doors are close it will not let them sit were I need them, and they sit uneven on my face. I contacted Oakley customer support and they advised me to take them either to the Oakley store or a lens crafters and they could be adjusted. I did this and they said they couldn't fix the issues because of how the rake system is set up. I could wear them comfortably if I leave the rake doors open and they sit in the right position on my face. but the doors get kind of annoying touching your skin. its a new product and they are still working on it.
